  • @1988thedome Dam straight brother.

First time i heard this was the first all nighter at the dome, steve williams rocking the casbah..

Those speakers would blow your hair back, raining sweat filthy dirty raw lawless land of the thunderdome.

This siren sound, for me was the sound of the dome.

Friday hac, saturday the dome, then blackburn...I survived it....lol

  • customs, grimsby. woo fuckin hoo

  • thunderdome 89 oldaham road manchester...

  • in the place to be. freakin out to stakker humanoid, mixin in a cheesy choon and somehow making it work, radiators whacked on full and charging for the water...sigh! those were the days!

  • but still people wore bubble jackets !

  • Good times , remember id get all the way round to the toilets and NWA Express yourself would come on,hold it in and bomb back round the dancefloor.

  • Thunderdome Saturday, Bugsys in A-U-L on a Friday.

  • Thunderdome saturdays..then blackburn after that..

but friday for me was and always will be the haceinda..

    That was my home..lol

first went in 85 and saw it kickoff for real in 87, it was unbeatable in its day..

As for the thunderdome toilets..i remember walking in the lads..and there was a load of girlsand lads just stood chatting, and you' know doing whatever..walked out looked at the door..yeah thats the lads..looked at the girls loo, that was the same.Ok so thats how it is.lol

    loved it.. :)

  • Yeah, only did Blackburn a few times. I was at the Nelson rave with Giz, Suddis brother from Together, when they recorded the crowd noise for Hardcore uproar. Was enjoyin clubbing too much to go to warehouses. Gave up the Hac for the Thunderdome then went back afterwards until it got closed down....god i hated all those gangstas and wannabes! Good times all over town and all the coaches out we had. Groundbreaking music still has the floor rocking today

  • Its good but it could do with being pitched up 2 bpm's

  • This tune is bloody fantastic, enough said.

  • OMG I never thought I would hear this one again... on ya toes.. poppers up ya nose!

  • instantly took my shirt off ...strawberries ...yes mate

  • Defo one of my faves

  • one of the massive toones on the blackburn/revenge rave scenes - happy days

  • The tune that made me buy decks also! First heard this at the Palace in Blackpool mixed into Stevie V's Dirty Cash by Black Lace (yes, the Agadoo blokes) who were the resident DJs there at the time. Bought a mix tape off them and came back to Leicester and pestered all the record shops till I got them tunes! Sorry, not quite a "I remember Shoom or The Trip" story is it!

  • How did you get it on here in Stereo ?????

  • The best stuff

  • Tune!! Not heard it in years, packed up raves in 1990 when it became shit.

  • hi to everyone in the thunderdome manchester late 80s i was the one next to you talking shit good days. thanks for the tune

  • I remember you, i did'nt talk to much tho, to busy bouncing about on a strawberry.. :)

and to brown01971 it does need a little pitch up for the dome..

    RAVE 90'S COMING SOON.

  • What a tune - you can these all on CD now, just pop down to your local music store, there's a pooload of compilations that are based on that magical three years up to 1990.. if you can remember that is!

  • "Jeff Young on the Big Beat Show" ... "Go On Jeff let the record go!"

  • bought this on a cassette album back in 89,think voodoo ray was my next buy

  • Wow. I haven't heard this in probably 15 years. It's much, much slower than I remember.

  • Yeah know where your comming from, pity theres no pitch on this ion usb turntable, would maybe have tweeked it up abit..

  • @f1rehead gotta pitch it up

  • @f1rehead - True, all the DJs (me included) used to crank up the pitch.

  • @f1rehead Everything from b4 say about 91 always sounds slower than I remeber, Everytings Starts with an E, Silver Bullet, all the Italian house from back then all sounds dead slow, not too sure what that means everything sort of speeded up ~ 20 BPM about mid 91

  • The thunderdome ,manchester 1989 .

This was its sound. twin hype/ airport 89 / rock to da beat, this siren sound.

Its a thing of beauty for sure.

    niceone folks, keep the faith.

  • First time I heard this tune was at the Thunderdome..happy days.

  • The first time i walked into the 'dome' was about 11.30 on the night of its first all nighter, it had only been open a month or so, and everything starts with a e was playing. it flipped my head in a instant, barely missed a saturday after that..lol

    niceone browno mate..

  • Yes I, spinmasters in the area, big big manc tune, every fucker bang off it, cant see the hand in front of your face cos of the smoke machine hahaha, Airport 89, Yaaaah, Acid Rock...mint.
