Yes it's a shocking ending, but a deadly odd funny absurd moving shocking ending. And Colin Farrell is just perfect here. That's why I laughed, and I keep laughing everytime.

@edderd8 I definately never meant the fact he's dying is funny (how can that be funny ? It's sad, of course). However, I find his LAST THOUGHT funny/silly : that made me laugh because it is not the kind of words you would expect in such a tragic situation, and to conclude a movie.

Compared to Ken's death : I was shocked and I almost cried (because he had such a violent death and the tone of the movie at this moment is deeply tragic.)

You really have to understand Martin McDonagh to understand why everyone thinks this movie is brilliant. It isn't the logistics of the shooting scenes its the psychology behind the characters and the amazing script. The midget (his name is Jimmy) is wearing that outfit for the film they're making. When Jimmy sees Ray walking on the film set, he walks to ray to find out what's going on. When Harry shoots Ray, he also shoots Jimmy. Because he blew his head of (with a dum-dum ;-) ) Harry thought he shot a kid and then puts the gun to his mouth. Because Ray knew Harry didn't kill a little boy, he tries to stop him (look at 2:05 ). You just got to pay attention during the movie ;-)
