search on youtube with this keywords

    "Österreichischer Militärmarsch "Prinz Eugen-Marsch (1710)"

  • A lovely video, well done! its great to see people taking such an active interest in their heritage.

  • @Sunburn2007 From now on, I'm just going to delete and block these tired comments that keep arguing about the same old issues that I've already explained numerous times.

  • Very talented group of guys here! And for everyone talkin bout the u.s. flag in front, just rewatch the video... 3 yankees, and more Confederates than I could count! No one wants to be yankee these days, we should be satisfied with that. :P Hope to see y'all at some events ~Pvt. 17th VA inf. Co. B "Warren Rifles"

  • Bit of PC? What is with the Yankees leading the Confeds? Isn't a certain flag sort of missing?

  • @GravelGrunt Ugggg. . . .too lazy to read the other posts below. I'm sick of explaining this almost every comment.

  • If that sound doesn't stir your soul...check yourself for a pulse! My hairs stand on end!

  • CANT FUK WITH THE SOUTH!

  • Very nice!

  • FROM ORIGINAL POSTER: People, the purpose of this video is to showcase the Field Music, the Carolina Fifes and Drums, NOT to debate the causes of the American Civil War or insult reenactors. As already mentioned in one of the first comments this video was shot at a modern-day memorial parade honoring both Union and Confederate, not a typical reenactment. The US flag is at the front, but the CS flag is there too, just not as visible because the camera was focusing on the musicians only.

  • What was the name of the 2nd song played?

  • @Jdog2345432 The Name is "Yorckscher Marsch". Greetings from Germany. =)

  • Sympa...

Les américains aiment leur histoire et ils ont bien raison.

  • which is the one at 1:32?

  • @HueyJoe

its a old version of "prinz eugen marsch"

  • @hehoha313 thank you! But I can not find it on youtube...

  • @HueyJoe

    not on youtube

    but on google

  • Hey its David Rotan! lol

  • what's the first march?

  • Yes! Prussian military marches around the globe :)

  • @Nogger86Germany because Baron von Steuben a prussian who taught the american continental army the basics of military drill still used today

  • @TunnelRatoscarmike

I would say that american military tradition comes from the british (formation, military marches)

  • @Nogger86Germany nope, well i kinda take the still used today back, it was used until the war of 1812 but the basics i think are still used today... some movements are similar but like most things they are.... i guess you could say "americanized"

  • @TunnelRatoscarmike

    yeah, i agree! cheers!

  • Which march is the first march played?

  • what was the 2nd to last song they played?

  • They play the Yorckscher Marsch! :D

  • However, great performance!

  • The second one is the german "Yorksche Marsch" of the Wachbataillon, the elite guard of the republic. I think it was written by Ludwig van Beethoven after the war against Napoleon.

  • Whats the song at 1:33

  • fifers are excellent

  • very nice, but the Yankee flag should be the "stars and bars" or the "Dixie flag", maybe the "bonie blue" (I love showing off (: )

  • the damnyankees spoil the picture

  • hey thats our song give it back!

  • What song was at the begining?

  • i would love to participate in this , i had many family members die in the civil war that i can trace back to , mostly because they were paid to take the place of rich folk from new york ... great video , thank you!

  • Could you please list the tunes played in order? I see that Jefferson & Liberty and United States March last. And Prince Eugene may have been one of them? Thanks!

  • Nice clip! Nancy B. Brewer- author of Carolina Rain

  • I mean first to last.

  • What was that very last song that they played?

  • The last tune was "United States March"

  • Thanks.

  • That is a rev. war era version of "Prince Eugene"

  • Thought at first the Union Color Guard had captured the Confederate unit. Would rather have seen the Confederate colors in front.

  • hey whats the first song they played?im a confederate reenacter and i love marching to it but always forget to ask the band.

  • "Jefferson and Liberty"

  • @winters1234567890 no its the yorkscher march a german march

  • @WeekNightGaming Yes, we play Yorkshire March starting at :38 but before that, our very first tune is Jefferson and Liberty

  • @DWR101675 ok! what is the one at 1:33?

  • @WeekNightGaming Already answered this, but it's a rev. war version of "Prince Eugene."

  • @DWR101675 thanks! but i can't find it on youtube.

  • Why are 3 yankees marching in front of a confederate march?

  • It was a modern-day memorial parade, honoring both sides. The confederate color guard was further back, but this video is only focusing on the field music at the front.
