Thank You! And I will. ;) We just recently drove this car to the Eureka Springs VW show in AR. All total, a 700+ mile trip, hauling three adults and luggage through the mountains. It drove like new, looked great, and was a hit at the show. I'll say it again: You just can't beat these old VWs!
are you sure the parking brake isnt on still i mean i did that with this old frod mustang and i recked the tires entirely just because i pulled it with the parking brake on
Technically, it still was. LOL... The brake shoes on the left rear were frozen to the brake drum. It's common on old beetles for some reason, especially if they're parked overnight with the e-brake on after getting wet.
We did just that, after spraying WD-40 all inside the drum. You have to give credit to that tow bar! It took an incredible amount of abuse without bending or breaking. LOL
