  • Wow nice trick I didn't know that trick

  • What the fuck?? How did you get that much money when you flee?

  • Can you repeat the process you show in this video and infinite amount of times or only once? On which disk are you in this video?

  • I'm playing through this FF for about the 4th time (it's been hella long time tho) and realizing that the random battles are WAAAY to frequent. It's still insanely fun and most true to the Final Fantasy mystique imo Soooo much better than than SCI-FI FF13.

  • the best final fantasy ever. best story best fighting the best ever

  • i got one simple question: can anyone tell me how to get from chocobos forrest to dali without the chocobo which is shown in the video?

  • @XMikelangelo

well you can use the airship, also you won't need the sea chocobo, the red one will do just fine

  • Don't you hate that feeling when you're running through and you're like... please no random battle please no random battle... SHIT dndndndndndndn

  • i remember when my dad figured this out and he didn't stop doin it til' he got about a million gil. and i remember when i did this on disk one i got out of lindblum with 70,000 gil

  • @sanbox242 your already past lindblum?

  • @theeleman you have to run into the ragtime mouse outside of dali and sell some ethers. also characters should be lvl 6 when you fight the plant brain. buy 99 wrists in dali. get another 1k gil plus a steepled hat which you buy in lindblum. go back n' forth between synthesizing cotton robes and and selling them and buying steepled hats. make sure that you keep 2 cotton robes cuzz at that point in the game it's new equipment. also buy 99 steepled hats b4 leaving lindblum so you can do it again...

  • @theeleman when you get dagger when you go to treno and go to dali to get 99 wrists and synthesize 99 cotton robes and sell em' again. then go back to dali and buyy 99 wrists again. when you play as zidane again, go back into burmecia and buy 99 steepled hats in the mogshop from the moogle. when you go to treno again, synthesize 99 cotton robes and sell em', go to dali and buy 99 wrists, andso on and so forth. also you can only run into the ragtime mouse 4 times in the mist continent

  • @VampireExtol1 no he/she dropped 47 gil not got 47 gil

  • I love this game. It actually has really good graphics for PS1...

  • How did you get those numbers on your monsters and like your recast time on the side and stuff

  • Is there any maximum amount of Gil that you can earn doing this? Just on a matter of curiosity.

  • what disc is this??

  • @jarboen 1

  • I wish I lived in a Final Fantasy world to do this Lool

  • @InvincibleGarland THANK YOU VERY MUCH REALLY ;)

  • the chocoobo is a sea chocobo i think. (can walk on lagoons, mountain, then sea)

  • What chocobo is that?

  • @rougehunter88 dark blue you can get it when you get the blue (ship?) don't know the english name he can you on Land mountains and in deep water

But HE CAN'T Go From water up to mountains

  • @rougehunter88 mountain

  • loled at eiko's running

  • lol lets dance while waiting turns to get killed or run :D

  • i have everything just need to woop ozma

  • @Forzajuve91x I saw a video where someone was riding around on a chocobo.

Then again I've never played FFX.

  • this is EXACTLY wat i was looking 4 yaz

  • You hacked. There's no Eiko at Burmecia.

  • Can you tell me how do you do a level 1 game???

  • @Ultrazone91 Die a lot.

  • You use lots of more or less obscure tricks to achieve a LV1 game, like using the Petrify effect of Needle Fork (steal from Zaghnol during Festival of the Hunt) against the Black Mages in Gizamaluke's Grotto to nullify EXP, make Zidane a Zombie and kill everyone else during the forced battles in the Iifa Tree etc.

It's insanely frustrating beyond imagination in some places, but overall a pretty fun challenge.

  • aohww!!! I long for this game ...

LOL .. but because of this game me and my cousin put up a fight .LOL

  • how'd you get a mountain chocobo?

  • @knightblazer85 you need too do the chocobo minigame on the forest and dig up chocographs and then find the treasure from it and after you open certain one's you go too choco heaven and get turn into different colors i believe the mountain chocobo its like the 3rd or 4th 1.

  • @knightblazer85 Thats a sea chocobo which comes after mountain. i got gold :D

  • ihate quinna i called him retard on a few of my file long live ff9

  • There's a "Get Rich Quick" book in Dali inn......, maybe it is alluding to this trick.

  • did i just c u at lvl 1 o.0

  • thank you this vid helped me sooooo much i already have over 1 million gil in the game

  • FF9 I MISS U

  • i was wondering how many times this could be done before getting an airship. nice, very helpful.

  • nice music....awhh....

  • XD fight them! :P

  • Ahhh... Magic Hammer. Brings me memories...

  • I think this was the last FF game to feature a world map. I think they should bring it back.

  • Comment removed

  • indeed

  • I honestly loved the way they did it in ff12 the maps were huge and they just flowed. I would be ok with bringing back the world map but at the same time alot of people would complain

  • indeed... maybe thats why most ff's have sucked.. that feature was so awesome....

  • @Pooont i do too....

  • World map, manually controlled airships, buying new weapons in different towns, seeing those new weapons in battle... all seem to be fading out of existence. it's really sad to see =(

  • So true. Being playing through IX again, tried XIII on a demo in HMV and just thought "meh" these new battle systems just don't beat the classic 4 man standard system IX had. In fact none of the new single player Final Fantasies interest me anymore

  • @Pooont buy versus13 when it comes out, or get type0, both have those features

  • @Pooont it was and they announced that versus 13 will have a world map and not be linear

  • @Pooont 10 and 12 had world maps.

  • @Pooont FF X had a world map... Kinda. You just didn't get to take it with you.

  • @PhiledelphiaEagles you could buy them later on in the game

  • @PhiledelphiaEagles FFX had more of a "list" than a map, it was different than the previous 9 games. But yeah, in a way that's true, X did have a map.

  • @Pooont

There was a similar version in FF12 and FFv13 is going to have one.

  • @Pooont FF X has one so does FF X-2.

  • @Mrpissedface that isn't exactly a world map, he means world map as in, you use it to travel between locations with random encounters. it was indeed the last one to have one

  • @Justinian1995 Ah, alright.

  • @Mrpissedface no they dont have world map that you can "walk" on thats what he meant after ff9 they went into a follow an arrow too know where you going and go too town by walking tru towns by going tru zones or airships for the rest of the games you walk on the actual world map and ride chocobos and airship too get too town and eneter the town by accepting too enter, that what pooont meant.

  • @Mrpissedface Nope. They have lists. That's it. Not whole planets you can explore the tops of, and as with 7 the ocean floor. Typically you can get access to exploring the entire globe by the second disk, less than half-way through. Lots of lateral side quests. You'd explore the top then you pick your sub-area to explore more of. Now It's a cheap oh-look a list with some light-up radials on it, that makes me feel like I am not actually just going down an extremely linear line of a game....

  • @jackalsocoke I had forgotten about the ccean floor... memories =] i loved that music.

  • @Pooont V13 will have a world map and a fully operational airship.

  • @Pooont They are in Dissidia Duodecim

  • rolf i love quina's fleeing sprite

  • dali's music is so peaceful...makes me sleepy.

  • Lol Magic Hammer is a Blue mage spell in FFXI

pretty cool that they corssed that over

and yes it does the exact same thing in FFXI ^^

  • "Disc 2:Buy Steepled Hats in Burmecia at the end of Disc 1"

I can't have both discs in my PS at the same time...

  • More like ironic. If you can't figure that out, you're a massive retard.

  • No, it isn't. Still I obviously handle it better than you do:

"Your getting confused" You mean "you're"?

    Great english there, dude.

  • You showed me. (no sarcasm intended)

  • You sell them once per disc, not get all items lol

  • I didn't state the opposite, but thanks.

  • lol you are all SO butthurt

  • Suitable nick you got there.

  • butthurt... lol

  • ... are you. Lol.

  • Zidane runs wayy too fast lool

  • xiter

  • Lol I've never EVER had a hard time earning money in FFIX :S money's really easy to get, spend more time lvling up instead cause at that point in the game I remember being way more powerful. No offence but this is just a waste of time.

  • Yeah lol I remember having 500.000 - 800.000 gil.. it's really easy to get while grinding Grand Dragons.

  • would you know where he get his bule chicken from

  • I don't know of any "bule chicken", and I know you're off topic.

  • ok i found out its real name the blue chocobo i meant

  • I just kill dragons for a living, those drop over 8k :) (Lv. 5 Death = instant kill always)

  • i just kill dragons for a living. < --- that has got to be my comment of the day.

  • I miss this game so much, I might actually play it now.

  • duh... its 7 minutes and 6 seconds... LIAR...

  • lol braxonutube xD

  • And whata Fuck...the Story replay...Airship...away.... i go to Dali...and i must Vivi again saved...and so!!!!!

Please Reply and say...if it works!!.... I dont know ... I testet it only one

  • if only making money was this easy in real life....

  • uhuuh

  • all is in lvl 1?? omg? WTF!

  • how the hell do you have eiko?

  • due to all the items, and a green dot on the map for another vechile im guessing he returned here after getting eiko

  • can you do this trick while saving time for the excalibur ii?? it's nearly impossible

  • Your theory is mistaken

Because FFVII is rated by mostly all magizines an average of 9.5/10

While ratings for FFXI only averaged an 8.1/10

FFVII also generated more profit because their overhead was low

while FFXI had a major overhead, and still the maintaniance on the servers was a downside.

If your point, is that you are a great player because you believe FFXI was the only good FF, think again, don't assume you know ppl, becus some of us could be retired from ff11. long time ago

  • I believe you're mistaken as well. He's not basing his opinions off of what the magazines or other reviewers said. It is his personal opinion that all of them sucked besides eleven. I disagree with his opinion, but he's allowed to think as he likes, and you've no more right than I to tell him his opinion's wrong because other gamers think the games are good.

  • not once did I say that his opinion was wrong. I said "your theory is mistaken," which in a sense means that his theory has mistakes. (which I hope is not you sock puppeting) Not once did I take his/your liberty to speak, or shut him down.

  • What theory did he have other than that one statement? Calling that wrong was calling his opinion wrong.

  • I don't have the right to prove a person wrong using statistics? A person who Trolls into a FFIX, to blab his opinion about something irrilevant, but you have the right to prove me wrong using your social justice, perspective, and observation? we are not coming to a consensus here. Where did it say, anywhere on his/your comment that it is his/your opinion? All the comment said was "All the FF sucked the only good one is FFXI" and I am stating that statistically that is false.

  • he/she probably just couldn't comprehend while playing final fantasy, and couldn't feel the essence of the stories, he's just one of those characters who focus on the battle system and adrenaline, and he/she most likely just plays online game since he/she said FFXI is the only good one, and we all know what that game's system is.

  • if squaresoft only took their time, and merged FFVIII with FFIX it would've been a better hit. Frankly love the music, and environment in FFIX but I the character development is lacking. Also the I love the story, but it was missing something.

  • I personally see nothing that wrong with it.

And in my opinion the characters are very well developed, albeit with a few exceptions such as Amarant.

  • honestly didn't mean anything was wrong w/it, but it didn't bring out as much revenue as FFVII, and I believe that if they worked on their characters and extended the story, (because the music, and story was on the money for FFIX) and options more, it would've increased their sales. But man, I hope they change it up. FFXIII- Fabula Nova Crystalis, looks promising, but im getting sick n tired of the same role playing system and ideas... they need to come up w/something genious, something new.

  • I think you're right.

I'm glad the fighting system was changed for FFXII, and maybe they have no option but to keep ignoring the tired idea of random battles.

  • I so agree with you, AMARANT's character's was very flat, he didn't even have a proper storyline, but a bounty hunter who's full of testosterone but has a softside, and he's not that exciting to use in a battle. I prefer Freya's storyline.

  • Yeah that was a good one.

Pity it ends as soon as Sir Fratley leaves again in the desert hideout.

  • I learned when I was playing this, never get rid of any equipment you have, always have two of everything so that you can synthesize later on in the game. It pays off in the end, and it also makes it look like a weapons collector...

  • wrists are 130 and steepled hats are 260 i think which makes 390.

add the 1000 it costs to synth and thats 1390 for one cotton robe

sells for 2000 so thats easy money, makes u feel like a traveling merchant in this game

  • Aww, I was on disc 1, where you're going up the castle steps and really proud of myself too, when the screen went black to load and never did :[

I was, like, 6 too. Then I moved on to FF8, and the same thing happened on disc 3 xD. FFX and FFX-2 are fine. Now my FF12 won't let me go to Nabudis, Lhusu Mines.. My luck SUCKS xD.

Brings me back. Nice vid, wish I could use it ha!

p.s. Bulky forest chunks on overworld maps & chocobo song forever >:]

  • edit - somewhere I'm guessing near the END of disc one, after the solo cave battle, the mage/hot air balloon thing, and all.

  • thats not near the end im afraid

  • i like FF9 its a good game not hard

  • I'm doing this on Disc 3 right now, amazing money using Black Mage Village. I leave my (red or higher) chocobo on the plains outside Conde Petie so it's right next to the village.

  • Good form to win a lot of gil in a moment ^^ .

  • I've played ff1-12 and i realy loved ff9. Reflecta and then the dragon island. good way to get levels fast. good video :)

  • atleast youre lucky enough to not get into battles... i usually get one of em every 5 steps i take.

  • could still be done on disc four.

  • It can be done on any disc; before airship is listed on description.

After airship: Same as Disc3, buy Steepled Hats from Black Mage Village and Wrists from Dali.

Disc 4: Buy Wrists from Dali, then go Burmecia (Like here) and buy Steepled hats, synth anywhere you want.

  • i always hate it when you walk and walk and suddenly you must fight with a monster

  • lol, thats the main point of the game ^^

  • LOL Final Fantasy thrives on Random battles. at least until XI.

  • I actually enjoy random battles

Once you get into them, you feel like fighting the monsters. With no random battles, you just end up going "nah, I think I'll skip a few" :P

    "Poopie, I've underlevelled!"

  • lol

  • in this game there is no such thing as under leveling... ever watch the videos of perfect ffIX run where he gets excalibur 2 plus every missable item with every character at lvl 1?

  • Well, the theory behind a run like that is relying on certain 'set damage' attacks, status defences, and running from random battles.

And that's pretty much the only way to do it at an uber low level. For people who like to use a variety of stuff, and vary their battles, 'underlevelling' is a bad thing, even if technically, you can't be underlevelled.

Get where I'm coming from? :P

  • You can run from random battles with a low level, but you can't run from Bosses, so therefore you have to level up to beat bosses, that's just the way it is.

  • .........smart arse

  • Thanks, this helped more than a lot on my money problems..... ;) Thanks! Yeah, before getting H. G. 3. you can do this once per disc.

  • if ure doing a game at level 1, there are only two options in a random battle:

    1. ESCAPE FROM IT, SO U DONT GO TO HELL!! lol

    2. BE INFECTED WITH VIRUS, my friend.

boss battles and another mini-battles must be accomplished with virus, if u dont want to gain any level.

Btw, good job posting this video, it really helped me, because i needed that money badly.

  • you're just wasting your time going to a place and to another just...

Never escape battles (if you really have to escape then do it)

  • This causes problems in a level 1 game.

  • yh but how do get 99 cotton robes al the time is tht part of he trick?

  • hehe clever trick ;-)

    good job man ^^

  • Oh man, just watching you run through this all reminds me of just how little of a platformer Final Fantasy is.

  • how did u record the game onto ur pc?

  • I have a TV Capture card

  • My computer is not compatible with TV capture Card... My computer is not compatible with TV capture Card... I was doomed since i bought the computer that im using now. I just wish that it was easy to obtain a lot of money (*sound of smashing my computer for not realising that it wasnt compatible*)

  • This is freakin Awesome, Thanks alot
