  • Great Video

  • hi mark if you remove the club off the floor . is this the way you take the club back in your back swing

  • Big problem for me - Practice swing looks great but when I hit the ball i mess it up big time. Please help? I just can't get away with it.

  • Tnanks Mark. Great instructional videos. I've been using them as a supplement to 1 per month lessons here in the States. You really stress the fundamentals & it's helping me practice much better. I've been playing 1 1/2 years & already getting to the low 80s on a good day.

  • Massive thank you from canada for taking the time to make these videos, they are very well done and extremely helpful....Cheers

  • great vid - thanks mark.. been watching ur vids religiously and hitting the range with these takeaways.

  • how do i get rid of a snap hook

  • I've been watching your videos for quite a while now and everytime I watch one I get an "ah ha" moment! This helps a lot...just trying to put so many things together all at once. But this I think is something that will be a great fundamental to work on!

  • I seem to get ma back swing all good but soemtimes I think I turn ma clubface too much so as much as I am stricking the ball better I am still going right slightly. can you do a video on where your club face shouold be all the way arround the swing ?

  • my drives usually are pretty good but i cant hit my irons for toffee. 7 iron upwards i can but why cant i hit the longer irons this way ( i cant even get them airborne let alone straight

  • No

  • Please change the music at the start of these videos-I REALLY HATE IT!!! It just drives me nuts. Anything but that silly tune. Pleeeese

  • Thank you gentlemen quite very useful helpful mate

  • Hi just subscribed to your channel and its's great!

Is the drill also the same with the driver? For some reason I'm really having a hard time hitting the driver, 3 wood and hybrids but can hit my irons ok. Any tips? Thanks.

  • can.t wait to try this drill out on the range, feels good just swing away in the garden with out a ball.,will let you know how I got on with it.

  • What do you do once you have the club parallel to the club on the ground..? Go straight with it..?

  • @mcerlean1956 The BEST drill for wrist set/backswing is Nick Faldos preset drill. Its here on youtube. Type in Faldo Preset drill. Watch and learn. Its easy and more importantly..... It Works!!!!!!!

  • Cheers from North Carolina. Thanks for your video's. I tend to break the angle at the beginning and bring the club too far inside. Also liked your video on the downswing.

  • Hello Mark, I just would like to say you are a great teaching professional. I live in the states near Washington DC. If you are ever in the DC area, I would love to treat you to few rounds of golf at some very nice tracks. If I send you a video of my swing would you take look at it and give me some feedback?

    Cheers,

    Chad

  • Good Stuff cheers Mark

  • Mr Mark, Just checked out your take away drill yesterday 15/9/2010 and saw something I was not doing. Played today and shot 75 personal best, normal low eighties. I will now watch more of your instruction videos. Thanks...

  • Hey jhaley thanks for the comment, if you have any videos you can send me I can take a look. Shanking is often to do with clubpath but without seeing you swing it is hard to say.

  • @4golfonline Mark, could you make a Golf Lesson video about what causes the "Push" shot in golf, which for a RH golfer is the ball moving in a straight line but to the right. I have a square club face, but I don't think I was releasing the club on time when I was hitting the punch shot and also the ball was back in my stance so when I made contact the swing path was still off to the right. And also the "Pull" shot. I think this is important.

  • @JAKEHARRIS281

a push cannot occur with a clubface that is dead square to where you are aiming

a push is technically a straight shot, it just doesnt start where you want it to

happens by swinging slightly in to out, with a slightly open clubface at impact

  • Hi Mark, I love your videos, they're the best on here. I am at the point of giving up. I am a 5 handicap and stayed off golf for awhile because of a shoulder injury but it's fine now and I've started playing again, my misses are all towards the heel and a shank will show up about every 5 or 6 shots. I believe it's my downswing, the rhythm of it. I tend to swing too hard, please HELP with this if you will. Thanks.

  • @jhaley12 He wont reply to your comments...please go to shawn clements golf videos he has over 9000 subscribers and will answer any question you have

  • @NikeGolf118 This guy does have good videos though

  • I would like to know what muscle group / arm etc you use to start your club in motion on the backswing. It's been about 15 years since I had a lesson but I vaguely remember them saying to use the three fingers on my bottom hand to start pulling the club back. However, I don't know to what extent to do this and how much, %wise, to use my other arm etc. Thanks.
