  • If she's high, she's hiding it well. No red eyes, no munchies, no slurred speech. She doesn't seem high at all in this vid. Although it was the 80s, so she was bound to be smokin' something in the green room before the show started taping.

  • They would've finished in half the time if he didn't say UMMMM with every clue.

  • He said they did it in just 25 seconds, but there were 25 seconds left . So , actually. they did it in 35 seconds.

  • god bless america this is what we strive for. Great moments such as this make me proud to be a game show addict

  • This show was aired on NBC daytime Wednesday, February 13, 1985.

  • ...UUUUUMPIIIIIIRRRRREEEE!!!

  • $106,000 is still the highest number on Password even the Million Dollar show didn't beat it.

  • @danbarker39 Yeah, one contestant on M$P came so close to winning $250,000 by 1 word :(

  • The humongous password winner.

  • What airdate is this?

  • anyone has the full episode of this huge win?

  • what font is the "$106,000"?

  • @5star555555555 i believe the font is Helvetica

  • @5star555555555 Helvetica Bold

  • Pretty easy back when you could give synonyms.

  • that's my aunt :) my family kinda loves watching this clip all the time...

  • This aired on February 12, 1985. This TofC was done in conjunction with TofCs on $otC and Scrabble. HYHYBT has most of the Scrabble TofC(taped in 1993 when aired on USA) on his youtube page. Mtiller2006 has the finale from the Scrabble tourney on his Youtube page,. Also IN February 1985, WOF celebrated its 10th anniversary on NBC with former contestants in the audience(no TofC), and Time Machine changed its format from solo players to head-to-head games.

  • Goodson had one family hit $100K via the WInner Take All TofC on nighttime Feud circa 1990 or 1991 IIRC, where the jackpot was between $50K-$110K, depending on how many of six bonus rounds were won before the finals(a bonus win added $10K to the jackpot).

  • Bert meant to say they did it in 35 seconds, he mentioned there was 25 seconds left on the clock, SUPER JOB!!!

  • i wonder how much that win would havew netted her if it happened now

  • because this was a TOC were they playing for a flat $25K or did it really not get wob the previous 4 times?

  • In the title match, it was for a flat $25K.

  • @BlackwoodCompany Do you have the whole episode of the championship match to place on youtube? Just wondering, thanks.

  • doesnt thw win bell normally play for just the duration of the win cue music?

  • Wooops, Bert! She didn't get through in 25 seconds, she had 25 seconds LEFT. Still a very nice job though!

  • one had 27 seconds left

  • I think that would've been a "Password Plus" episode with Greg Morris giving the clues. It's also on YouTube.

  • who are the contestants?

  • I never heard the winning bells go on so much.

  • WTG Natalie!

  • The real celebrity is my sister, Natalie, who is the ALL TIME SUPER PASSWORD CHAMPION. $106K (in 1985 dollars). Whomever said some other person is the champ is, himself, a COMPLETE LOSER! Sincerely, Natalie's brother, Guy

  • She's your sister? OMG, that's awesome!! Tell her I said congratulations! :-D

  • WHo's the celebrity?

  • Dick Gautier

  • Correct me if I'm wrong, but $106,000 is G-T's only $100,000+ winner.

  • Not if you count four winners from Blockbusters.

  • @BlackwoodCompany Don't forget the $100,000+ wins on TPIR.

  • @nextbarker And didn't a few people win over $100,000 on TPIR?

  • Actually the higest total was $76,000 not $84,000.

  • You must have him mistook for another big winner.

  • PS: She only got this big win due to the tournament. One male contestant won over $84,000 during regular games, and had there been a TOC, he would've definitely won, judging by the fact that he was undefeated in his 5-match run. He even won a majority of his bonus rounds, including one with a $45,000 win. So, therefore, he was the biggest Password winner in non-tournament winnings. But in any case, the record may not hold forever, on account of Million Dollar Password.

  • But no player there has tried for any amount above what she won.

  • Not yet. Keep watching M$P, and you'll find out.

  • Because there were no other tournaments of champions for some reason.

  • February or March 1985.

  • What year is this?

  • 1985

  • When in 1985?, and what airdate is this?

  • I have no idea. I am sorry.

  • I said when in 1985?

  • I don't have the exact date.

  • OK. Thanks anyways. I don't have an idea either. Sorry. It was aired on January 1, 1985.

  • I mean network Daytime game show?

  • Millionaire is on daytime and remember that Ken Jennings won $2.5 million on Jeopardy.

  • Is $106,000 in CASH the 3rd highest total in daytime game show history?

  • No it is not with Millionaire.

  • Or as I called it, the Betty White Tournament of Champions (all ladies).

Natalie won with the word UMPIRE, when a certain man did it, he won $55,000 & then got conned out of his winnings (Kari Ketchum).

  • What's her name?

  • I think it was Natalie Steel.

  • Yes, it was Natalie Steele, and this was the ONLY TOC in the entire run of Super Password. They did have a run of a "Tournament of Losers" every year for those who didn't make any money in the main game.

  • Natalie also appeared as a contestant on The $100,000 Pyramid in 1987; although, she didn't win as much as she did on Super Password.
