I thought I'd give this movie a chance, but this is really silly. I mean, Kate & Doug won the Olympics, and fell for each other in 1992. This movie is from 2006. Normal pregnancy takes 9 months, so how old is she supposed to be, 13? Plus Kate seems to be a nice, patient lady - not the Kate Mosley I know. It's okay to use a different actress, but please try to maintain the same character...

Sorry, but Alex skates like a cross between a hockey player and a speedskater -- no style and little precision. Jackie had it right with the "roller derby" comment. Doug's transition from hockey to figure skating was *much more* believable than this.

The actor playing Doug here was personnable; but he cannot skate either -- he looks awkward and a bit unsteady leaving the ice (4:29), not at all like an experienced retired professional should appear.

The first The Cutting Edge movie came out at the same time as Mighty Ducks when skating films were kinda popular in the early 90's. But sometimes Jackie reminds me of a little sister for Charlie from MD2.

It was the other way for MD series. I preferred the second movie while I liked the first Cutting Edge movie the most and then the second movie.

I actually disliked this one, but I loved the third one. The plot is much better, in my opinion, (except for Jackie and Alex being divorced in there) and I love the chemistry between those two characters better than these.

The one thing I find hilarious in this one is when Kate snaps the belt-thing onto them and the following scenes with them tied together. :)

Watch the 3rd one. I thought it was great. Some like it, some don't. Make your own decision.
