Tanner could return, on driver parallel lines if you go to the hotel (Safe House) in 2006, walk up the stairs and when you get into the room and look to the left it says 'Tanner Lives' painted white on the wall so he could return or they coud use someone else but it would would be cool to see tanner return.

i can remember when driv3r was being made it took a whole lot longer to be released, as you do for nxt gen consoles at the time like ps2 and xbox. however they never used the time needed to improve that game before it was released, very disapointing. lets just hope they use the time and the better gametesting needed to make this game succeed. tho i think parallel lines was a stepup from d3 tho. im just keen on the create a clip mode from the earlier games :) plss soo hope they have that ingame.

Need for speed was about speed and racing

Need for speed is an other genre and has nothing to do with driver or gta.

And Driver is what the modern GTA was styled on. It was the very first game, with a 3D-city to explore. GTA and GTA 2 were in bird's eye view.

Everything else is a matter of opinion.

GTA was still in 2D when Driver 2 was released.

When GTA3 was released, it did all things better than driver (except driving)...

How did they copy GTA? Driver was out 2 years before GTA III. Also in Paralell Lines you have the escape the circle to get away from the cops which was then introduced in GTA IV. So apart from that I don't know how people are copying. These games are free roam.

Rockstar do it best but they are based on real life so I don''t know how that's copying. If Rockstar didn't do it first someone else would have. I even thought of free roaming when playing Road Rash. Is everyone copy my idea? Look forward to a new Driver. Love their recoqnition system. Alsways thought the car handling physics were more realistic than GTA until GTA IV where they seemed to have done down a similar road as Driver.

There still is the same voices for the characters. I also know that there is an online director in the staff, meaning there will be a good online part. I cant tell more about the story but I do know that the online part will allow you to create your own character and compete various missions, but theres only 1 city this time. The best part about the multiplayer is that you can work together in the city to complete goals, instead of GTA's shootout style.

I hope they return to their roots, but Ubisoft never really puts alot of effort into anything. I've heard from friends that know the team that their working on the city of Los Vegas, and it does involve Tanner, but it is in seperate times. all they told me was that it reveals secrets of his younger years, and then later in the game, it shows the older tanner coming back to finish off old conflicts including Jericho. He said he would get in trouble if he reaveled more..
