@Evangielle Because in Korea, if you are born in January of February, you are considered a year older. For example, I was born in February '96, so I'm considered as a '95er, and got put in school a year early. So, if you're born within the first two months of a year, you start school a year early, which is why Sooyoung is in the same grade as the 89'ers. If Taeyeon was born a month earlier, she would have been a grade ahead of Sooyoung.
