Cookie was wasted as second banana to Joan Rivers (how could Cookie ever be second to someone?!) and that gargoyle has the nerve to badmouth him in recent years. I wish someone would upload possibly Pete and Dud's final chat show reunion, on Bruce Forsythe's 90s chat show (quite how Bruce ended up with a chat show is beyond me! But I'm sure it happened!)
Now I know where Billy Crystal & Christopher Guest got the inspiration for their working class shmoes. ("I hate when that happens...I know what you mean")
I don't like talking ill of the dead, but I can't find anything nice to write about Bernard Man-c-ing. I have discovered self restraint . . . nah! He was a twat!
Cooky had to do this humiliating gig due to one too many litigations. Private Eye went tits up and he needed the cash. I admire the vicious get! What a brilliant mind. CANT!!!!
Great comics i was to young to remember the first time they were on tv but have just seen the Lost Tapes on tv this year on the documentary channel on sky tv (New Zealand) brilliant both went to soon
I saw this show when I was a kid... the minute Dudley cued up the Pete n' Dud routine, Peter got animated and for the first time, looked like he genuinely enjoyed himself
Joan's a genius comedian in her own right but she let them do their thing. Anyway, who could talk over Pete and Dud in full flow. Bernard Manning was a twat. Pete could be infinitely more obsene and still be charming, witty and intelligent.
Goodbyee came far too soon boys!! Still miss them.Derek & Clive declined to comment on the grounds they couln't hack being censored! Without this sketch there was no show Joan.
Peter Cook was like Joan Rivers assistant - the show was his lowest point. Once Bernard Manning was on, and Peter Cook said nothing all through, looking so lost, probably too drunk to know where he was. And Manning turned to the greatest comic of his generation and said "Working well tonight, Peter." Got a cheap laugh.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Bernard was the working class bloke.
He may not like you, but he didn't put a burning tyre round your head if you weren't from his tribe.

Joan Rivers and Peter Cook. Doesn't sound like a good mix.
