As a coach I'd like to emphasize mid-line stabilization. Over extension of your back does not count as stabilizing. You make up for tight hip flexors with a flexible back which won't work with heavier weight.
Before you approach the bar, make sure you're warmed up... Squats are a full body exercise so you want to as much muscle involved as you can get (especially shoulders and back) so you can stablize better and not get that wobbly motion before you start. And don't lock your knees when you get to the top of your motion, drive through your heels and EXPLODE up to a 5 degree angle... or however you want to think of it... just don't lock at the top, as to keep your muscles engaged. Keep it up bro.
Looks like your pushing out your chest and ass too much if anything. Your back needs to stay in its natural alignment you're straining it in the opposite direction.
Point #1) While squating, you got hyperkyphosis going on which is basically your lower back is hyper extending too much during your squat. This obersvation leads me to think that your erector spinae may be tight or compensating for tight quadriceps(fuck it, stretch both). Point #2) USE your glutes, when you're standing up straight make sure you're truly STANDING UP STRAIGHT and flex your glutes to fully extend your hips. Full ROM of the hips extending is what I don't see here. Good luck.
To honest your form looks pretty much ok, I can't see from that angle if your knees are coming in, if they are not then. Then your form is good, try not to snap at your knee's it may cause problem later...may....good job...
Bah I don't understand why post form checks with super light weight. The real test of form is doing the weight you usually do in a work out.

Your squat form is way better than mine.

very good as long as ur knees travel in d same direction as ur feet
Francis4fun700 3 years ago
whenever i do squats and i do keep good form, my back always feels very strained afterwards, but i keep it arched and dont lean foward much

your feet should always point outwards at an angle if not knees go inward when going down
alexrm125 3 years ago
does it matter if my feet point 45 degrees outward?
I can't seem to get low if they aren't pointed outwards...

Doesn't look bad but its hard to tell because everyone has good form with light weights. Tray a heavy set of 5 for a better assessment.
