Somehow bella got trapped in the village when she was a little girl. The village made her crazy turning her into a religious nut. The whole story is some sort of time loop. Dante is the main charecter from Devil may cry who uses a gigantic sword and guns and he is half demon and half human who follows his father footsteps to help humanity as his father is pure demon with a heart. Though it owuld of been smarte to say Vergil who is his brother and uses a Katana. I have no idea who beatrice is.

Sam Monroe figured out that the ritual in itself is a loop because Bella (Or the crazy old woman, she is Bella older)touched the red water. You fight the rifleman (I forget his name) because he had orignally helped with the ritual in the beginning. The screamo death metal ending is just something that they do in each Siren game. (I've played and beaten them all and I'm still confused.) Howard is forever doomed to fight in the shibito realm.
