  • I kinda wish they made sodas less sweeter. The sugary taste is a bit extreme, and it's worse in the diet colas, because the sweetener taste nastier than the real thing.

  • I have been drinking soda and sweet drinks ever since I can remember...I'm 31 now and I look like a fucking stick...FFFFFFFUUUUUUUU...get your stupid shit of youtube...exercise and eat healthy people...it's not just the sugars.

  • Some are saying you won't gain 10 pounds if you exercise regularly, and they may be right. But here's the thing-we are all in front of a computer or cell-phone, doing nothing but sitting. I mean, it's not like we're all on treadmills as we watch this video! The argument is moot if people aren't exercising. And not all net folks are slobs, I know. But this ad isn't for people who know how to live healthy, but for those who don't eat right or exercise. For them, 10 pounds may be the right number.

  • 1 can of Coke: 155 calories

    155 x 7 days a week x 52.17 weeks in a year = 56,604.45 extra calories

    My regular diet:

    2,500x7x52.17=912,975 calories a year

    One pound of fat: 3500 calories. 56604/3500=16.17 pounds

    That's without exercise. My math still adds up to 16 lbs. So yes, >10 would be accurate.

    A half hour of running enough to suffice a 7 minute mile will burn about 450 calories.

    IF you dont ever exercise. If you dont eat healthy as well. If you literally lay in your bed with a mini fridge stocked with 365 cans of soda. If you never drink anything else beside soda.

    Thats alot of fine print.

  • This video is terribly made and it is based on the worst statistics. While it is possible that 365.25 sodas per year could add ten pounds, they are skewing the data. They are assuming that you are drinking the sugariest, fattest, most calorie-filled soda. They also assume that you get no exercise of any kind, and that you have a very low metabolism. They also assume that you had a poor diet to begin with. Do not trust these videos. Get the facts right, and don't skew statistics.

  • @hookonsonic2 Yep, but that's how they package these scare tactics and deliver them: with outright fraudulent claims backed by junk science. Sadly enough, most people (especially on YouTube) will believe just about anything put in front of them and can't be bothered to research for themselves.

    This also explains how artificial sweeteners like aspartame and sucralose have gained such popularity in spite of potential dangers -- which anyone can read up on with a brief Google search.

  • @Cinj216 Soda is not good for you. No need to research that. Diet soda is even worse. Drink water or make your own lemonade. You will know how much sugar is in it and it will be natural.

  • @billyprunes Who gives a shit? Just drink whatever the fuck you want to, it's your body. If you don't wanna drink soda or anything loaded in sugar, that's your choice. If you do, that's your choice too. My beef is with people who think they have the right to dictate what others can and can't consume.

    You also seemed to overlooked the fact that I was talking about artificial sweetener rather than soda.

  • @billyprunes Drinking one soda a day, while doing nothing but sitting on your arse is unhealthy. One soda (or more) if your an active person is no harm. And if your gonna puke out stuff like "It has chemicals wich will mess up your semen quality, or cause other health problems!" So does almost anything we consume. Also, as Cinj already said, its your own choice. Don't dictate people like an socialistic arse.
