@cb7pwn Well damn, guess I better sell my 5 trucks. I still own these 2 truck to this day, and I have not had any issue with either of them resulting from anything I did here. As long as you are smart about what you are doing, this does not hurt anything. Yes it put a lot of strain on the drivetrain, but there was no wheel hop and we didn't just jump into the throttle shock loading everything. People who don't know what their 4x4 trucks are capable of shouldn't own them. I do.
@TrueCowboy57 if you know anything about mechanics... ANYthing.. then youd know that using selectable 4x4 on dry road can and most likely will result in serious mechanical damage .. its like "the basics of owning a truck" knowledge ...
@cb7pwn Yes, and I do agree with you. However, I know what my trucks are capable of and what I can get away with. I am not saying just anyone should do this or anything I attempt. Straight line pulls on dry pavement are no harder on the trucks than doing sled pulls (which I also do). Traction was going to be the first thing to go with the 12.50 tire I run. Now doing tight turns in 4wd will snap driveshafts, CV's and front diff cases on these weak IFS vehicles and that's why I have a PW now!
@cb7pwn Also I equate I have done here to drag racing. I have friends who race their stroker, full bolt on, and boosted Rams in 4wd, and they are putting down a hell of a lot more power on stickier tires that I am. I am lucky and have traction issues, they don't. Search Hemidup in youtube for his yellow bee. No new vid of his truck, but he has a 392, paxton blow, nitrous fed 4x4 he races and is running stock transfer case and axles. If they aren't breaking in straight line neither "should" I.
@TrueCowboy57 ive seen drag pickups runnin 4wd on the strip .. but those re specially modified 4x4 systems .. my point is that from the factory you should NEVER do this on dry roads .
@cb7pwn The guys I am talking about are factory drivetrain trucks. They are running all stock transfer cases, axles etc. But yes, again I agree with you, normal use you shouldn't do this on a high traction surface.

@flight2k5 Wasn't actually just hooked on the hitch, they were captured with a closed clevis, no way it was coming of unless there was a major failure
I love the trucks! I really like the beat to hell one. Great trucks! I'm sorry that 86godsmack likes Toyota so much, its just sad...maybe one day he will find that one good one....maybe.
people who use 4x4 on dry pavement should not be allowed to own trucks.. fucking idiots

That's not even right. Put a hemi vs a 4.7 with the same gears and the hemi would pull it around like a lil tikes truck
