  • next kobe?

    no...

the first marshon. he's already a better scorer than kobe was in his rookie year

  • @neptuneniq lol thats because Kobe was 5 years younger in his rookie season.

When Kobe was 23 years old he averaged 28.5 and was already a superstar.

Marshon is a great player but come on...

  • looks like kobe so much

  • i hope he wins roty instread of kyrie

  • looks like stephen jackson and tyler the creator had a baby lol

  • Plays like kobe

  • this is coming from a heat fan.... you have mad skill man your the mini kobe

  • i dont see why people compare him to kobe. i see him as a paul pierce type of player since he doesnt have the explosiveness of young kobe.

  • @TheBoiFlip lets be honest, people call him the next kobe because he has a mini fro

  • @TheBoiFlip if watch his highlight vids & you'll see why they compare him to Kobe. I'm not saying I agree, but there is no way you won't understand why Kobe is brought up after seeing the way he scores in game situations.

  • I think he could be great but not as great as Kobe Bryant come on people

Kobe is top 5 best players of all time. I think Marshon could make multiple all star games but he wont be as greta as Kobe

  • silky jumper

  • his amazing and I like his jumpshot

  • i bet the celtics regret trading this guy

  • He reminds me of Penny Hardaway, with those long arms and the way he handles the ball.

  • baby kobe!!!!!!!!

  • I knew I couldn't be the only one. I remember watching his highlights back when he played for Providence. Mini-Kobe. Will he get to his level? Probably not, but we'll see.

Side note: I think that Victor Olidipo, of Indiana University, is a Mini-Dwayne Wade. He most likely will not get to his level, but he's still awesome.

  • @aWeirdCreeperGuy and hes a mini dwyane wade because he dunks a lot and plays for Tom Crean?

  • Had 19/8/3 yesterday and 22 points/8 reb/6 asts today..he's sick

  • what's nick young doing in a draft workout?

  • Silky smooth

  • yea its funny the first time i saw him i said wow, he reminds me of Kobe with the way he shoots his jump shots, the wingspan, the way he runs and the way he can flat out score and even rebound. Seems like a smart player too, in the sense that he has a feel for where rebounds can be grabbed and put- backs.......those types of things we have seen so far about ten games into his nba career. Kid is no joke and can be a real good scorer in this league

  • i agree that his style of play looks like kobe's and he is a great baller but i don't think he will overcome the 20 ppg in his career in the nba.......just a feeling.......

  • @Mr7198 Brooks averages over 17ppg when he plays over 30 or more mins. He will certainly be a 20ppg scorer in the right situation.

  • Thats the next Kobe!

  • @AlwaysBased3544 yeah dream on!noone will replace kobe !

  • @Mr7198 lol the way kobe been playin...yea he on the verge of being replaced

  • @AlwaysBased3544 are you kidding me?he is holding a whole team on his shoulders -.- i mean yeah he got old but not that much!

  • @Mr7198 hmm.. he's not use to it as u can see.. just trust me give MarShon 2 yrs in the NBA you'll see what im talkin about..

  • @AlwaysBased3544 hes the next kobe because he has a fro?

  • he reminds me of oscar robertson

  • Cant believe Boston drafted him and traded him for nobodies. What a joke Ainge needs to lose his job

  • great fundamentals

  • Kobe Bryant Jr. Thumbs Up!

  • SWAG

  • Yall think he still should if been traded. 52 on notre dame, 43 on georgetown. He aint slow bhanldes aint slow but smoove and he quick with a 38.5 vertical. Let me know at the end of the season if you change your mind...... Wait no we dont even gotta wait that long cu he droppin buckets already haha celtics and c fans are crazy!

  • Celtics are idiots for trading him away..

  • why a lot less athletic? kobe had a 38inches vertical when entering nba. Marshon has a 38,5 inches leap and a 7' 1" wingspan... i think he has just to build up some muscles to become more explosive.

  • @MrMoeert He also ran a 3.09 3/4 sprint @ the NBA combine which is one of the fastest time ever and has a 34 inch no step vert which is one of the highest ever in NBA combine history. Compare that to Derrick Rose who ran a 3.05 and has a 34.5 inch no step vert. All this kid needs to do is hit the weight room, work on his ball handling and playmaking skills and he could be a DANGEROUS player because his offensive skillset is very advanced!

  • He is a lot less athletic than kobe, and is also like 5 years older than when Kobe joined the NBA lol...

  • @googunner35 well since you cant come out of high school anymore they will always be older doesnt mean he isnt good

  • definitely with work will be kobe-like people are right saying hes not as atheletic.. but loook at kobe when kobe came in.. "an athletic guard with an unpolished game." Brooks is the opposite. not comparing though hes a career and 5 rings away from any comparison. IMO hes just a great rookie guard, i like his game alot.. well see what the future has for the NBA world.

  • plays like jamal crawford

  • Nice Video!

  • Dude is Straight Silk. I think he is gonna suprise some people this year !

  • hmmm not really sure how i feel about him. if you want to compare him to kobe tho he better shape up first. kobe would smoke him at almost 40 years old. He's just not that quick and his bal lhandling is slow. Im glad the C;s traded him for moore and ju.

  • I know alot of people compare him to Kobe. But after I've watched him play and how he moves he really resembles Nick Young alot more. He's not as athletic as Young but they are both long and awkward moving players.

  • @MrBallaBoy21 yep.. i think you made a right point here.

  • WOW, BROOKSY WAS WET! NOT ONCE DID HE MISS! OH YEAH I'M GONNA LOVE SEEING HIM PLAY IN BK NEXT SEASON BUT FOR NOW I WILL DEFINATELY DEAL WITH A 66 GAME SEASON! I COULD POSSIBLY SEE HIM TAKE MORROWS SPOT, IF HE PLAYS LIKE THIS OR HE COULD POSSIBLY START AS THE SMALL FOWARD! THAT IS IN THE FUTURE MOST LIKELY THOUGH! HE'LL DEFINATELY HAVE TO IMPROVE SOME OF HIS GAME BEING THAT THE NBA IS FILLED WITH TALENTED DEFENDERS! BUT DEFINATELY BROOKSY IS A REALLY GOOD PROSPECT!

  • @CC25Y its a highlight tape why would they show his misses dip shit???

  • @wtfmynig IT'S A HIGHLIGHT VID, WHY WOULD YOU TAKE WHAT I TYPED SERIOUSLY AND TO THE HEART ASSHOLE!? GUESS SOMEBODY WAS A BIT TESTY! MAYBE TOO MUCH CAFEINE

  • @CC25Y u are dumber than u look in ur little profile pic

  • why are people saying he shoots like kobe. not even close, this guy needs to work on his release and make it much more smooth

  • he looks a bit like kobe as a rookie with this little afro :D

  • his jumpshot style looks VERY similar to kobes.

  • @atlhustlin101 not at all. kobe has a quicker and more smoother release. marshon is much more slower and his follow through is really ugly

  • kobe-like

  • obviously you guys haven't seen enough Marshon tape..watch his 52 point game vs ND.. Slow? maybe in this workout but not in a real game.. #2 scorer in the nation behind jimmer

  • slow shooter

  • so smoove

  • @jbeachboy1 I've been getting that too. I wouldn't have a problem if they would have drafted a defensive minded center but from what I understand the guy that they drafted is a PF. Also, imo what the celtics need is a big shooting guard that can come off the bench and score when Ray Ray and Pierce are resting. I feel that that is a big hole with this team. And I feel like any player that comes to Boston will be forced to play D by the personalities on the team so I'm not concerned about that.

  • He has a lot of potential. His ball handling, shooting ability, and ability to score off isolation make him a solid offensive threat. I think if he works hard enough he can become the next Jamal Crawford, a potent scorer off the bench who can give his team a nice offensive boost when they slump or when starters need to come out.

  • Wow amazing athelete shooter, ball handler ect.

  • Ugly ass J but effective, At the same time a decent defender would block that shit on a regular

  • Shiny skull at 1:26

  • his shooting forms a lil bit weird but hes great

  • joe johnson and him play alike

  • he reminds me of a poormans nick young

  • not even tryin to hate, great college player but i dont think he'll transition to the tempo and physical nature of the NBA...very smooth, but not fast or aggressive enough to compete with the elite of his position. he may need some time to develop like Evan Turner...i wanted the knicks to get him but after watchin Iman compared to this cat, i think NYK made a smart decision.

  • he doesnt go very hard tho..

  • Hi hi! Have you tried intellectus 424 diet (do a search on google)? Ive heard some incredible things about it and my buddy lost crazy amounts of weight with it.

  • why is he so damn slow...

  • smooth jumper or what !

  • I remember seeing a sign on TV at the NBA Draft that read Marshon Brooks=the next Kobe Bryant. Brooks has the skills to be a great player, I wouldn't go as far as saying the next Kobe though.

  • yeah i agree with BlueRaptor 28. He has nice form, and obviously has skill. But in game situation he would have to go faster... I wonder if he would still make all those shots if he was shooting at game speed.

  • slow release

  • soft hands

  • they forgot to show you all 400 of the misses

  • this kid is reminding me of kobe...damn

  • He can shoot from half court with the same shooting form he does for all his other shots. It's ridiculous. I feel like the Nets got a steal with this pick. Easily a starter.

  • I dont care about how many he made but REALLY? How many times does his J splash ALL NET...most of his shots..he gets nice Arc

  • Clearly, a fucking aimbot.

  • He's gonna be a steal the nets can use a scorer like him.

  • it sucks nj is no more

  • @jbeachboy1 And Outlaw doesn't work well with basketball

  • FCK BOSTON FOR TRADIN THIS DUDE!!(Boston fan here)

  • Njjjjjjj

  • ima be mad if new jersey trade another good rookie like him\

  • gee that is excessive um CityLeagueHoopsTV, can you dunk? Go try this if you want to then 50-inch-vertical(dot)com

    winching winching

  • he plays like kobe

  • Pacers are retarded for getting George Hill instead of him.

  • i wish the bulls could have gotten him he is the perfect fit

  • just my opinion, i think his shooting is a bit too slow for a shooter

  • @kb826062871 I think so too but he gets his shot off with ease somehow, and his form is beautiful. No way he shoulda fallen as far as he did in the draft. I thought Boston got a major steal but then they did what I thought was stupid by trading him. Deron Williams & Marshon Brooks could turn into the best backcourt in the league. COULD

  • @Loudmouf84 quick release is one of the key to survive in the NBA.. but he's quite tall, that will not be a problem maybe...

  • @kb826062871 I don't think it's slow. I think because he has long arms it looks slow. It's not a quick Ray Allen release, but then again nobody has a release that quick.

  • @Loudmouf84 I watched his 52 points game highlight, It was great, His release wasn't slow , your right. He got game

  • @kb826062871 yea he does. I think he's gonna be an all-star. He's too good of an offensive player, so I'ma just put him in the possible/probable future all-star category. Dude shoulda been a top 10 pick.

  • is that nick cannon

  • Scouts said he killed Alec Burcs in a one on one Workout dunked on him and all

  • he plays way to slow. when he is defending the quick players in the league he will be taken to town. no offense to him but there are a lot of players more talented than him and that can move a lot quicker. Who knows he could end up being like a paul peirce it all depends on his work ethic.

  • @MollieJeannn exactly what I was thinking. His hand are fast but his foot work is really slow. His shot also takes a while to get off. Don't get me wrong he's good but if he could speed up his game a little bit he would be a lot more versatile

  • He moves hella slow lol but he's dope. Kind of like a joe johnson

  • 2:00 if that isnt Kobe 98 i dont no what is

  • i think hes 4th best in the draft behind kyrie, d will, and kemba walker... this guy is pure fundamentals

  • @xxgerman17xx brandon knight and jimmer and enes kanter might have a edge over him but he is good

  • 5 yrs if he can last hell b wit da bulls avg 24.6 aka little MAMba

  • this dude has such a wettie

  • Disgusting long ass arms

  • He is beast

  • @TheCe28 he reminds me of marshon brooks

  • Kobe Jr

  • Jimmy Butler ate this kid up in their workout for the Bulls, may have been what got him drafted by them, especially with the Bulls having Thibs as their coach.

  • @jwalter81 Jimmy Butler sucks

  • @200damary lol Well that really doesn't help the case for all the Brooks fans, knowing that a so called sucky player ate him up in 1 on 1 pre draft drills. lol

  • @jwalter81 what do you mean??

  • baby kobe wit a lil bit of jamal crawford

  • the move at :42 was sick!

  • @gamemaster47

tried that one after i saw it on this clip -> was superfail xD

  • @gamemaster47 im not trying to sound like im too cool or nothing like that, but if you look closely, it's actually really simple

  • SPLASH LOL

  • give him playing time... hes better than the number 1 pick!

  • this guy looks like the best out of the draft lol

  • @ThereIsAHeavenX he doesnt just look like the best, he will be the best

  • @fredcoolj hopefully i guess best of wishes to him this is 1 thing watching him score good moves but in a nba game its different i guess and he still has a lot to learn and gain of course :D anyhow looks like a very promising candidate :D

  • NEXT KOBE!!!!

  • Let's go nets!!!

  • @FormulaNinetyTwo they need size inside now, shaq gone, perkins traded away (oops), cervik left for europe, and big baby had a bad playoff run & a bad attitude, may be gone... they already have green on the bench (if he stays) so brooks would not be a good fit right now in boston, as u should know. have to make the call based on your needs now, not what ifs, or with 20/20 vision .

  • @fendergibs You don't trade more talent for less talent. Just because JaJuan is 6'10 doesn't mean anything. The Celtics might be the worse multiple ALL-STAR team as far as scoring points! Did they need a big guy?..YES! But at 220 pounds Jajuan Johnson is not going to be a factor when it counts. I find it very hard to believe that he will be a better NBA player than Marshon Brooks!

  • I have been a nets fan for over 21 years, days of the DC Hammer, the riddler from rego park. I have lived through the drafting of Rex Walters, Yinka Dare, Obannon boy and many other busts.

    NET FOREVER!!!

  • if your a die hard net fan and never left them in times of struggle like this

  • He will be the best player out of this draft. Boston will kick themselves in the azz for not keeping him. Die slow Cel-TRICKS!!

  • @TheReason77 I hope JaJuan Johnson pans out for us as MarShon pans out for you guys. I really liked this pick for the Celtics and he got traded, i was like WTF!? If MarShon turns out to be super good and JaJuan stays in the bench I'll do more than kick myself.

  • This kids got a certain swagger to him... he has great potential

  • As a Nets fan I didnt think we would get anybody good with a late first rounder, but this guy could be the one people talk about being a steal in the draft. Dude can flat out score the ball.

  • Marshon will be a starter for NJ

    hes more versatile than Morrow

  • @neptuneniq morrow is a pure shooter. marshon is more athletic and can shoot. morrow is more of a 6th man

  • Danny Ainge sucks

  • he says he trys to play like kobe.. we'll see

  • N.e.t.s. nets nets nets nets

  • Welcome to New Jersey, and soon Brooklyn!

  • happy he is a net

  • This kid reminds me of a young kobe.. i dont know why, but i think hes being OVERLOOKED! he landed with KG, ray allen and PP.. you know hes gonna improve ALOT now...

  • @BlaZiiNxIIxGuNn3R ...Uh NO he went to the Nets buddy.

  • @ksx1988 yeah i had posted this before his rights were traded to the nets -.-

  • He is Picked by Boston but Traded To New Jersey.. So... Welcome to JN/Brooklyn!!

  • welcome 2 boston!

  • Welcome to Boston. I'm hoping he will prove to be a contributor. :)

  • Dallas!

  • This guy looks exactly like Kobe..even the afro

  • i really hope sacramento takes him but im pretty sure they wont

  • hey check out jake blum

  • reminds me of kobe....with the hair and his shooting style

  • he got a wingspan of 7'1" ??!!!

  • Man I hope this guy fall for Chicago can get him

  • Dont think the Bulls will get him unless they trade up.

  • I doubt he'll fall to Chicago man..

  • @ajramirez1995 bulls offer same amount of money as pistons, but they also told him he would be a starter. unlike the bulls.

  • KNICKS!!! he's the starting sg that the KNICKS have been waiting for for a very long time

  • What kinda shoes are they???

  • what kinda shoes are those?

  • This guy's gonna be gooood. His trainer says he has a little Kobe in him. I see it too...

  • That semi-afro and lean body makes him look like Kobe from the back. Hmm... Wonder if...

  • plays exactly like john salmond that played for the bulls
