@Jinxzero0 Have you tried to use the Z button? Just use Z to make the three lines and boom, instant whirlwind.

are you drawing it correctly, and probably because its an upgrade not an individual brush technique thus it doesnt show up. but i got that too i learned blizzard 2 and it didnt work, all because i wasn't drawing it correctly

@AL1NO3 hold z instead of A to draw a straight line, if you had trouble with power slash then it should help with that too.

i don't think that was him cause if u do not do the wirlwind nothing happens to the fish so i don't think he would be a good with a sword.

for those of you who want to know how to get the marlin, I'll tell ya, for those who don't want to know, stop readingXD you buy the marlin rod at sei-an city, and then when you've got that fish orca out, you use him to travel around the islands afar, just look on your map and you can see all those little islands, there's a fisherman on one of them, he accepts the marlin rod and together with him you can catch the marlin

A trick to use whirlwind. hold the Z button while you draw the 3 lines.

if you do a new game plus you keep your items, health, ink pots, and weapons(except for the last of every kind). however you do need to get every brush technique again.

Things I found that help me do this technique better:

A. Light slashing with the brush

B. Drawing the marks BACKWARDS XD
