  • Here is what they need to do;

Collect the rain if and when it falls and protect it.

Protect all lands suitable for farming by planting acacias or local hardy trees near it(to reduce wind).

Selective breed strains to tolerate the lack of water and still grow large enough.

And stop sending only food aid, send them some tools and equipment, teach them how to care for their lands and to grow on them.

  • Respect (and f##k gmo!)

  • This video is not saying that GMO seeds are the solution - but rather local seed sovereignty, where communities can produce and multiply their own seed stock year on year .

  • Nooo! They are talking about giving farmers GMO seeds!!!! S:(

  • Because of the way global temps and CO2 are presented graphically it looks like CO2 causes temp changes. Well, if the data were graphed to show CO2 lower on the graph that temp (by scale choice) Would we conclude that temp caused CO2. Probably. The fact is, sun spots are the cause of climate change. The more there are the warmer it gets. The fewer, the colder. Look it up.

  • No one really knows how to adapt to constantly changing climate. Why does anyone assume that climate change effects will suddenly level off and stop?

  • the picture of all of africa's misery you see in this film and with the hunger and disease await all of mankind without fossil fuel to save the day. the technological green solutions that are so un- viable for Africa today will also be un- viable for the entire globe. yes it truly is the golden era of mankind thanks to the fossil fuel revolution.

  • @datzfast

Our future generations will be all that's left of us. Working to protect their habitat should be considered a matter of self-preservation. There's a really good YouTube vid that shows a man stepping off the railroad tracks to avoid a train but he leaves a young girl behind. What would those future generations think if we don't try to improve their chances? I consider it immoral not to do what we can and lucky to be in a position to do so.

  • This video is well done. Thank you!

The relatively wealthy in the west having benefitted the most from burning fossil fuels and deforestation will suffer the least from the resulting climate changes.

It isn't fare. It's just a sad fact.

Please contact your policy makers, especially if they are Republican, and insist they learn more about this issue. Insist they sponsor and support policies that will significantly reduce emissions.

  • @Reduce GHGs well, im not wealthy but i have benefited by fossil fuels so much it isnt funny. one in ten were killed from horse falls before the automobile. that would equate to 700 million people dead from horse falls if we were still riding animals for transportation. my that number is stunning.

  • @datzfast .

Yes, we have benefitted from the use of fossil fuels. That's a given. We'll go on using them for hundreds of years. But this doesn't mean that we have to use them in a way that deteriorates the only habitat our future generations will have to sustain them. This path we are on is unsustainable. If we can see (and we can) a hazard approaching isn't it a good idea to make adjustments now so that the hazard can be avoided or at least minimized?

  • @Reduce GHGs that doesnt mean only the rich use fossil fuels or only the rich have benefited. it means we all will share both poor and rich fossils fuel for hundreds of years from know. at least 200 more years. at which time we will see a decline in human existence and the number of humans will decline as life spans are reduced. we are living in the golden era of mankind's existence. to make life bearable in the future we will resort once again to superstitious belief of gods to provide comfort

  • @datzfast .

Who said only the rich use fossil fuels? Where did that come from?

It may be that nature forces use to move to sustainable living by reducing our numbers. Our "golden era" years may well come to an unpleasant end.

  • @ReduceGHGs yes im so fortunate that its still 200 years away.
