It is actually safer than driving with sandels or loose fitting shoes since they can get hung up on carpet during emergency breaking

It actually isn't illegal in any state in the US. People say it is but i drive all 48 states and never wear shoes. I looked into it in EVERY state and it is allowed.

of course not. Here in Brazil , to drive barefoot never has been forbidden. Why would it be forbidden in USA ?
