Thanks for the responses - It turns out it was the battery- Ive fitted a massive one, now the lights are brighter and it turns over first time....

Crank position sensor on drivers side on crank case at fire wall...going bad, especially if the car cuts off then restarts.

your key smartlock immobilizer is stuffed, iether the key is not regestering with the immobilizer, or the key is broken, that OR the key switch behind the barrel is broken
