Nice video, Dave. A few of our guys here in Cleveland fly with the GoPro cameras. Hope to see you at a fly-in one of these days. Have fun in Palm Bay. There is a great group of pilots there.
Excellent video Dave. I like the perspective. I have been flying since Feb, and just got a Ninja from Dell. LOVE it! So dang simple, easy to start. Most of my video has been in my home area (which is getting boring), and from a helmet cam. I used a Chase Cam a couple of times, but i worry about it getting in my prop. Cool video, thanks for sharing.
@Touchthesky412 Those are rock climbing straps from mojos gear. They are 27kn One in the riser and one on the paramotor frame. I have a powered parachute quick link between the two with threads in it and it looks like a chain link. Totally not necessary but makes me feel better with a back up system that dares a carabiner to break. Even though they are stainless not aluminum. Most of the aluminum ones I have seen are 18kn. I believe my stainless are 24kn.
thanks for the info. I feel the same way about the power. I do other power motor sports and I would rather have a little more power then needed just for those times where you might really need the power to get you out of a bind. Thanks again for the info and vote of confidence for the Flat Top paramotor.
How long have you been flying for. I'm planning on taking PPG lessons this spring and I have always come back to the Flat Top paramotor. I like the look of it and it looks to be better build the a lot of them on the market. I don't think the ninja would be good for a beginner but I was looking at the 120 and since they are all on the same frame I could upgrade the motor down the road. Is there much torch twist with all that power?
@cjstylez1977 I have been flying for over 10 years. Very little torque steer with this motor. I have been flying walkerjet simoni for years. They have considerable torque steer. You can choose whatever engine you prefer. I like having all the power for quick take offs and climbing fast out of any area. Power is your friend just use it wisely. Good luck with your decision and welcome to the most awesome sport on the planet bar none.
@cjstylez1977 If I can make a suggestion. I looked at Flat Tops and the K2 in February, and then opted to take the less expensive route. I crashed my Nirvana Rodeo probably 7 or 8 times and spent well over $2,000 in repairs to it from simple falls. I spent $1,700 in training with two instructors before finally going to Dell in Galveston last month. AMAZING training experience. I am tons better and I really really wish I had gone to him in the first place. I now own a Flat Top Ninja.
