Actually, for those who don't have Wario, you can do this challenge on 1. Make your way through the course until you get to the beast. Grab the W cap, run back up the slope and get the power flower. Run down to the switch, open the door, and grab your star! It will still show as you completing 3.

go down stairs. there will be two plain doors, one leads to the hazy maze cave, and the other to a small water tunnel.

swim through the tunnel and you will come to a room with two pillers, pound both of them and you will drain the water.

Take Mario to the castle courtyard.

Defeat the Big Boo and he will drop a cage.

Jump into the cage to enter Level 5: The Big Boo's Haunt.

Enter the haunted mansion.

Jump up to the 2nd floor.

Go through the door on the far right.

Jump up to the 3rd Floor or use the Power Block to float up.

Go through the door then jump into Luigi's painting on the wall.

To collect the red coins in the Hazy Maze without the moving platforms:

1. When you enter the room with the red coins - do not slide down the pole. Instead, turn to your left and backflip to the nearest floating brick.

2. Slam the brick for your first red coin.

3. Go in the opposite direction towards the bubble where the switch star appears. Climb the pole towards the platform.

4. Ignore the moving platform. Face to your right and backflip to the platform with 2 red coins.
