  • Is he a foundation Morgan?

  • @saddleclubgrrl Not at all. He's what you'd call "new type", haha.

  • What a great horse! I love his movement but honestly I would never be able to sit balanced on his trot lol BTW I think you are a good rider (:

  • gorgeous horse but the video would have been better if you were wearing a helmet

  • @sarahbelle96x I doubt the riding would have been better if a helmet had been involved...

  • @hrhirene yes but its really dangerous to ride without one. one of my friends got a concussion from not wearing a helmet. it wasn’t even a hard fall. she jest landed on her back. just saying it could save your life

  • @merJewel I know :) This is actually my then-trainer riding, so really, the lecture should probably be directed at her. I personally ride with a helmet and I would be dead at least once if I hadn't been wearing one. But a helmet is a choice, and you can't force someone to wear it if they don't want to. It's up to the individual... particularly when they own the barn!

  • @hrhirene im not trying to tell you what to do. i just think its safer generally to wear a helmet, its your choice but its a good one to make, and it really can save your life :)

  • FUCK THIS BULLSHIT

  • @fontestic class!

  • wow such beautiful action you have a great horse

  • @saddlebred4ever thank you!

  • Bit over flexed at times, past the parallel. Watch that with hunter judges.

  • @silverrealm I noticed that too.

  • i'm not a morgan (or the like) person, can you please explain the purpose of riding with a blanket on? Just curious!

  • @myhotchilipepper Just to keep him a bit warm! It's actually called a jog sheet; they're used quite commonly in winter for horses either working under saddle or in harness. They are thin and a bit breathable. Nothing too crazy about them - just to keep their bodyclipped selves warmer.

  • @hrhirene Nice! Thanks for the info :-D Hes cute!

  • Really pretty horse! I have a morgan hunter too!

  • beautiful horse but it looks like his head is tucked in a bit too far

  • so wat exactly is a Hunter..horse thing coz im getting a free Horse soon i hope and she's and Ex Hunter...?

    Very pretty horse :)

  • beautiful horse!

  • He is such a gorgeous mover!!

  • He is beautiful but isn't he a little to steppy to be a hunter??

Just wondering because at my barn we have morgans that ride hunt but are asked to go saddle seat cause they are to steppy

  • @Theataskinen He's a bit steppy but it's all in how they move! He moves more out than up, and he doesn't really have the neck to be a saddleseat horse either. We thought he would get quite uncomfortable. I actually rode him saddleseat a few times and he was like "omg this is HARD! let me put my head down PLEASE!" so we thought he'd be better suited for hunter :) And the judges liked him there, soooo

  • He moves beautifully!!

  • i do park saddle or something!!! ps lovley horse i love morgans

  • i do park saddle or something!!!

  • what a pretty horse! oh and btw i want your leg!! its solid! you are a nice rider

  • omg my friends horse was born by the same horse stonecroft byzantine

  • Love him

  • you ride beautifully.and he is a stunning horse! he must be a dream to ride!!my Morgan died a yrear ago :'(.i had her for 25 yrs.

  • quite a character. i have a morgan mare by Stonecroft Masquerade. she acts the exact same way. i think the only thing i say to her is "Flirt, CHILLL! my muscles are ripping off the bone." Stonecroft babies are very willing and strong. and really jiggy when they want to be

  • @edsfavgirl15 Hahaha... I just saw this but it's so true! Really, really, really jiggy, lol.

  • very lovely morgan gelding =) i watch this video alot. I have a 2005 morgan mare who started out hunt but is now western. Im always watching your gelding though, so nice.

  • Really really cute!! I have a Morgan myself

  • I would like to see this without such a bit ....

  • @SwissMorgans he's wearing a snaffle...

  • He's Bueatiful! best of luck with him : )

  • Where a helmet please! :-)

  • He is gorgeous!

  • What a handsome boy you have! My Morgan mare has the same quick trot, although not as high knee action so I sure know what it's like to think, "Holy cow, buddy...slow down a tad!" lol great vid :)

  • Thank you! :) It's definitely a lot of "eeeeeeasy.... whup whup!!" but he is fun! You never have to worry that he's going to stop, that's for sure.

  • lol I know the "eeeeeeasy.... whup whup!!" very, very well. And the "woa walk... woooaaa walllkkk. Walk damnit." LOL

  • BEAUTIFUL! i might get a morgan named Pheonix

  • hope you do! Morgans are the best!

  • morgans are awsome! i rode them for 8 years and now i have a TB, but i miss morgans everyday. i"m trying to convince my dad to buy a morgan cause we'll be horse shopping in the next mounth

  • love your horse,so pretty

  • Thank you! I love him too :)

  • well somt time she does that but only when shes at horse shows or on trail rides >>

  • he is a lil overbent at the poll, if you allow him a little more rein, he will lift up and develope nice crest muscle, and he is less likely to "hollow" out his back. But not bad considering he just started training not too long ago.

  • i have a morgan mare she is 13 years ol and im trying to tacher her to prance do you know how to tach a horse to prace?

  • you don't teach them to prance it is bred into them, and 1/2 of the time the Really High Gaits are taught to young "gaited" horses by using weighted shoes as well as elastic hobbles and weighted chains.

  • Morgans are NOT supposed to be gaited. People who breed/support gaited "Morgans" are a disgrace to the breed. Im not trying to be nasty but it is not a natural movvement for a Morgan! Thats why the MO Fox Trotter and TN Walker were developed!

  • You want them to be able to bring their hooves up, you can use chains or weights. That tells the horse to bring up the hooves, it's quite pretty, and doesn't hurt the horse at all.

  • What do you mean "teach her to prance?"

  • every one says morgan horses are very very good horses

  • oh wow... gorgeous horse, that is.....

his collection is so perfect... his neck arches wonderfully... i love morgans. they are so beautiful.

my morgan mare is kinda out of shape. i haven't been able to ride due to a surgery i had on my leg a couple months ago. it was giving me too much pain to ride safely for nearly a year before it. i hope to start riding again soon. i don't know if i can stand being away from the saddle much longer...

    anyways, beautiful horse!!!!!

  • Issues N' Answers is at the barn i used to ride at =]

  • OMG I love Issues N' Answers!

  • He's absolutely gorgeous. Awesome!

  • What kind of bit are you riding him in?

  • wow hes gorgeous. is he still for sale?

  • i watched his WC class at okc! congrats!!! 3rd! thats good!

  • Comment removed

  • is he still for sale?

and is he going to oklahoma? im looking for a new hunter.

  • He is for sale and will be at OKC.

  • nice movement.... behind the bit too much... let off of his mouth if you can, it will make a much nicer frame. Good luck this season!

  • Can't say I was the one riding him :) He was super green in this video too, still learning what bit pressure means, so it's not too surprising. He doesn't really get behind anymore.

  • Gorgeous horse, with beautiful action! I bet he goes far. :)

  • Was this the horse from the Hurricane Katrina draw? The name sounds familiar? He's neat!

  • Has he shown yet?

  • misschien zie ik het verkeerd maar hij loopt niet aan de teugel maar in de krul..

  • Er, I don't suppose you speak English, do you?

  • he's handsome! good luck this season, what classes are you showing him in?

  • Open and Youth :)

  • oooo well if you go to NE I'll have to keep an eye out for him

  • What an awesome canter! Who do you ride with? and thanks for the comment on my gelding, I love him :) wildness and all

  • Ha thanks! I'm with Merriehill.

  • What's his name?

  • Lost Bayou Boy. We're changing it before show season, though. He hasn't shown yet, so this will be his first year in the ring :)
