@gurudibhagat Urdu is an Indian language. Hindi is an Indian language. I dont understand what you're getting worked up over. There are no 'Hindi' people or Urdu people, because Urdu/Hindi developed for central communication under Muslim rulership. Urdu eventually became lingua franca but Persian was for many centuries lingua franca in northern india, afghanistan, central asia. British replaced Persian with English. You're still speaking English.

Actually this song is in Urdu not Hindi.

Nearly all the bollywood films pren- 1970 were filmed in the Urdu dialect as that used to be the official language for many years (inc. british rule, along with english).

Todays Hindi used in bollywood films is not pure Hinid, it is a mixture of Hindi, punjabi and urdu. Todays bollywood is aimed at popular culture so the language used is not pure hindi as most of India is more familiar with pubjabi and urdu than they are with Hindi.
