This was only to be expected with a track penned by Mr. Max Martin. He's done this his entire career. He finds one song that's a hit, then he remakes it until it tires out: Listen to Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" then hit up Backstreet Boys "I Just Want You To Know" .

But there's also similarities to Brit's "Circus". The first time I heard HIAM, when the chorus came up, I swear I was singing "I feel the adrenaline moving through my veins, spotlight on me..." Listen, you'll hear it.

i hear more differences than similarities personally, but i can hear some similarities. i think it's a lot more realistic to listen to one song and then the other and then compare. if you slow something down to the same pace as something else and layer them, of course they're going to mesh together.. i mean, you're kinda forcing them to.
