@ArkRid3 they don't go slower cos of 'pedestrians' they are there at their own risk - you couldn't go any faster than this on this kind of terrain without killing yourself - that's why rally makes other motorsports look lame.

me and my buddy bust this all the time in his 08 sti.He takes turns going like 55-65 miles an hour. Its definitly an rush. You dont know how it feels until you have been in one gong that fast.

The high-pitched whine is mostly from the transmission. The teeth on its gears are straight, instead of curved like on most cars; it's more efficient, but noisy.

That's the only way to keep JM concentrated all the time. Because JM is a bit accident prone, he needs a codriver who is a big authority. That's why Miikka is yelling like an army officer. His normal voice is really calm.

It's also part of a change they made to Jari-Matti's pace note system this year. Several of his crashes happened because he didn't listen to the pace notes and went too fast, so now Miikka changes his tone of voice based on the speed, talking loudly and energetically when JM should be going fast, and then talking more calmly when the pace notes say to go slower. This video was from a really fast stage without many slow parts, so Miikka was yelling almost the whole time. XD

Yessss! The combination of Latvala, Finland, ultra-fast stage and HD onboard is really a mind blowing experience!
