Okay guys.... this is normal .... Animals were made for us to eat... and even if you go vegan... YOU WILL DIE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO PROTEIN YOU GET IN MEAT! So yeh....
@XxuwantmehxX Meat isn't the only thing with protein, It's in dairy, eggs, nuts, beans, Tofu & other soy products. If you want to eat meat or not eat meat, that's a personal decision.
@XxuwantmehxX actually you can eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and still get all 9 amino acids without eating meat. As long as you can stick to it, you can get all the proteins from a well balanced veggie meal.
"Besides that, what you said to Valfore95 is a bald-faced lie. I googled the exact quote: let no meat enter your body-Jesus, and got 2,450,000 results in 0.07 seconds. Man, you christians, unbelievable!"
thats because the "-" key withholds the following word from the search, so if you search "Let no meat enter your body-Jesus" you are searching
return results of "let no meat enter your body" WITHOUT the word Jesus ANYWHERE IN THE ARTICLE.
@Owntkthx Oh please. I googled Let no meat enter your body and got 13,500,000 results while you said 0, and Jesus comes up 9 times on the 1st page. When adding -Jesus to the search term, Jesus comes up 21 times on 1st page. As a Christian you should want the original words of Jesus & disciples, as opposed to all that twisted editing. You christians are so conflicted by deep-seated guilt...all you need do is go vegan and the guilt will go. I don't plan to answer anymore of your prevarications.
I'm sorry but you can't claim that eating meat is wrong, when confirmed biblical fact (not even the metaphorical truth which, quite frankly, is much of the bible) explicitly confirms this practice in several different locations. The blatant refusal to believe what is staring you in the face is heresy.
I'm a protestant, so I'm not one to bitch about heresy, but i mean seriously come on. Theres nothing wrong with being vegan, but what youre saying is objectively false
Even when veganviews is taken to be fact, which it isn't- the verses quoted do not indicate Jesus' lack of reliance on meat, which was explicitly permitted in the old testament. In fact, he ate fish explicitly, as a way to prove his corporeal nature, rather than just as a spirit after the resurrection.
"He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners. 12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds. 13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.” 14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.” 15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”" Acts chapter 10:9-16
@Owntkthx : Animals, verily these are your fellow creatures of the great Household of God, yea they are our brethren and sisters, having the same breath of life in the Eternal. And whosoever careth for one of the least of these, and giveth it to eat and drink in its need, the same doeth it unto me'.
I advice you either read the link 1221solstice2012 has given or just continue in ignorance, your addiction to meat and humping ur lil sister
I'm sorry, but that is grade A, certified, government inspected bullshit.
"What goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean,' but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him 'unclean.'" Matthew 15- Jesus lifts the dietary laws.
"The fear and dread of you will fall upon all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air, upon every creature that moves along the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are given into your hands." Genesis chapter 9:2
animals feel pain just like we do. we don't want anyone harming us so why harm them? oh because their animals and they have no purpose to life? that's the problem with the world. we treat animals like they have less value than we do. not only animal cruelty according to slaughter houses but deforestation as well.
Don't bring that survival of the fittest shit up man.. Yeah you need to kill for surviving, but there is a distinctive difference in surviving and massproducing fast/junk food..
Yeah out in the nature, so what if you kill a cow for your own survival.. but is it really necessary to expose the animals to this kind of treatment..
So GTFO out with your "it's part of the food chain bullshit"
@Felgik If you have the impression that all chicken is junk food, then you're sorely mistaken. And yes, it IS necessary. I'm going to go eat an animal, just like the other three million people that live in my city. Men are meant to live on both plants and animals, that's why we have molars (plants) and incisors (meat).
Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. Like plant vegetation [which I permitted to Adam], I have now given you everything. (Gen. 9:3, 5)
@Owntkthx ; and Jesus said; Let no meat enter your body.
The vid about Him saying this is on here. Search for it, I'm now to fucking lazy to find it for you.
btw, humans are omnivores, that means they cán survive on a no-meat diet. Only an hypocrite (christian) or selfish ignorant eats mass-industry meat & their products
@Valfore95 Thanks for the share, I saw this lunacy before. These people nonchalantly gabbing away, doing these sick, evil things to struggling, suffering beings as if they're handling potatoes. All the cavalier talk, glazed, serene grins, matter-of-fact body language...do not fool anyone, not even themselves. What they do is an awful sin. Yes, Julien, as "omnivores" people can live extremely healthfully as strict vegans, and as lard swillers they end up with clogged arteries & crippled hearts.
@Owntkthx Bible robots are unbelievable; you let your corrupted taste buds dictate your morals, comforted only by being a majority and having your conveniently revised bible "validate" your cruel habits. Slaughterhouses alone, even without the insane filthy confinement of these tortured animals, are an awful sin, no matter what Jesus said or didn't say; but here's proof of what you deny, from a bible you don't like of course, because it's not corrupted by opportunists: watch?v=Nb6dWrace38
@Owntkthx Besides that, what you said to Valfore95 is a bald-faced lie. I googled the exact quote: let no meat enter your body-Jesus, and got 2,450,000 results in 0.07 seconds. Man, you christians, unbelievable!
@Valfore95 Hey, who you callin girl? You gotta love Owntktbx, don't you? Now sit down, you vegan you, and get off the internet ;-) (thanks for you) ...Sadly, what they do to those animals really is a major sin, since we have tons of other(good) things to eat.
Oh, good thing christians are constantly forgiven for their sins or our pal would have been smote by God for that blazing LIE about 0 results. That may be why God is too busy to be any help here, endlessly forgiving christians' sins.
unfortenately my english is not good enough 2 really express what i think.
so i just focus on insulting others good thing christians are always forgiven, they only have to admit their sins to the preacher, maybe suck him into heaven and all is forgiven lmao. God must be close to chronical fatigue syndrome.
@Valfore95 Of course you didn't offend, I don't care what you call me as long as you call me ;-)
Christians bring out the most colorful imagery from you; your other reply to him with the bible & his wife's ass lol! I think he's a kid though, playing internet tough guy / fierce bible & moral authority. And the silly, easily disproved lies like about web searches...wtf?! Imagine being obsessed with a book written in large part by power hungry psychos.
yes its okay to eat animals the reason its so terrible is bacause the way people treat them let the animal have a good life then kill it dont just not care about it then eat it
wut if aliens came to earth and put us in slaughter houses? people would probably say "oh my god there so mean y not just kill us in a nice way. im glad were nont like them." but the truth is we r like them we r constently killing animals. the world is fucked up not animals tho HUMANS R FUCKED UP.
Okay, I don't care what ANY of you think, I eat meat, I eat fruit more than meat. I hate veggies but I eat them anyway. Way of life. People say, "Animals were put on this earth to be eaten," Okay im not objecting to this quote FULLY. If animals were put on this earth to be eaten, then Human CANABULLS are in the right track eating human beings. BECAUSE HUMAN BEING ARE ANIMALS TOO, me personal, I value an animals life more than a human, but that's just me(=
cannibalism is ethically permissible if 1) the person was dead beforehand (i.e.- he was not murdered), and 2) no other food sources are available, IMMEDIATELY AND DIRECTLY resulting in starvation if not consumed.
Waste not.
Fortunately, this situation does not exist in modern first world nations.
@Safania98 im vegetarian, i could eat a person, but i cant eat animals :/// idk if id feel bad about a person being eaten, though animals dont deserve it, every human i kno does hahaha including me XD
@Safania98 Humans have a soul though. For gods sake, person, even assuming that people ARE animals, then we are doing the right thing by eating them. Tigers eat animals, though they are themselves animals, are they not?
@Safania98 thats the most stupid thing i've ever heard, u guys are just to spoiled wait till u have no food for 6 months and then talk like that again. people need food and the slaughter house supplies it, more people causes more animals to get killed, so simple is it and ofcourse it looks more dramatic when 1000 chickens are lieing dead on the floor then 1.
As a small time poultry killer myself, I am happy to see others in the industry that are respective to the birds with a quick clean kill. SO many people have no idea of the horror of factory rasied birds and the unclean but legal circumstances, and the posions that they are forced to eat and we consume.
One question. Since all birds heard well why do the boys catch a bird one by one into the ttrailer. why not herd them in, they will be quieter and much easier on all.
But theres a food chain, animals eat animals. derp derp no shit. The outrage is how these "crops" are being treated. I love meat, but i hate cruelity.
all you bleeding heart animal activist focus on the most humane species when it comes to feeding on on animal-based protein sources. if youre so concerned with the welfare of prey animals lower in the food chain take a trip to africa and protest some tigers who tear apart their prey and distribute it to fellow tigers while it is still alive. scared of tigers? africa too far for you? find some american carnivores, like birds. theyll pluck their still-alive prey apart in beak-sized pieces. yummy
if they had the choice humans wouldnt be at the top of the food chain. go to the zoo and feed yourself to something and let me know how philosophical you are after you see how biology and the ecosystem really function.
@infinltyshock You know... If they could think "rationally" and have "moral superiority" there's no telling really what might happen. Maybe cows would enslave us, steal our babies so they could give it to their own calves??? OR maybe chickens would put us in cages and eat us? Truth is - "biologically" we don't eat the fierce predators at all... We eat the docile, innocent lambs and piglets... Who could never do us any harm. Your "logic" is desperate and fails miserably.
dozens of centuries of breeding and domestication is the result of modern livestock. they are docile because humans bred them to be that way. if lions and tigers and bears were acceptable food items with acceptable amounts and flavors of meat they would be more frequently used as food. as it is now they are simply opportunity kills for some africans who possess minimal animal husbandry skills
@infinltyshock "flavors of meats" - Oh my, you're no culinary expert are you? "Meat" has no "flavor"... No such thing as "beef flavor" or "chicken flavor" or "fish flavor" - They are all just materials altered and enhanced by seasonings and spices.All by the way, made from plant sources.And let's face it, these cows chickens and pigs didn't start out being "man eaters" now did they? We just made them more "docile" by confinement...As I recall, we did the same to slaves and Indians.
after that statement there is no other conclusion than you are insane. chicken, beef, cat, and even specific types of fish have different flavors and textures and only a fool would dispute that fact. if you refuse to consume animal protein your only other option is to consume plant protein which places you in the same category as those you despise so...a plant killer. hint: slavery and indians have no relevance to this topic whatsoever. youve completely lost any credibility you had
@infinltyshock The relevancy of exploiting "others" for their "value" while disregarding their wants, needs and RIGHTS is absolutely pertinent.Some are bigots against people with different sexual orientation, people of different color, or different religions.Those who have a notion of "superiority" regarding nonhumans are called speciesists.And BTW you don't score any intellectual points by inferring "plant pain". A 5 year old knows the difference between eating an apple & slicing a pig's throat
You should seek some sort of therapy for your failure to grasp reality. Ill help you out some...there is something wrong with your ability to differentiate between valid targets of affection and instilling emotional attachment on improper objects. It really is a mental health issue. There is no exploiting something in order to use it as a food source. It is one of the most basic traits of EVERY organism on this planet...a simple matter of survival and existence.
@infinltyshock - I didn't know that love and respect towards innocent victims could be "improper". I like fighting for the underdog.Especially against brute mobs with "might" on their side... In my neighborhood we call such thugs "bullies" against the helpless.If there were no other alternative besides flesh as food -all could be forgiven and acceptable. But billions survive quite fine on a plant based diet - numbers growing all the time (Clinton even included) -Our days of ignorance are done.
i dont love or respect my food...im not bringing it to an altar to marry it. im going to eat it. the extent of my interest in my food is how it tastes and how long it takes me to make it palatable. your instilling emotional feelings on inanimate objects worries me. its food. you eat it-you dont play with it or love it or respect it or have sex with it. human herbivores are going against 4billion years of evolution. ill keep my omnivorous ways and youre more than welcome to not
@infinltyshock "inanimate objects" are sneakers, ipods, and leafblowers - Not sentient beings. 4 billion years ago we also pooped in the woods and lived in caves - I hardly think that's a good reason to slaughter innocent animals... Just because we've done it for so long. Doing something kind even though it's a "new" endeavor doesn't make the act any less significant. In fact I'd say it was the courageous ones who paved the way. The cowards depend on safe, status quo... If the shoe fits.
@purelegend08 Can't live on grains, fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, pulses, rice and beans? Sure - I can! I do! So does my husband... And several of my neighbors --- And most all of my friends... ;)
Where does this magic number come from? 58 billion per day? week? year? I dont know who is sitting around counting 58 billion anything but my hats off to them in this endeavor. Considering killing things costs money its bloody unlikely anyone is doing it without need. Certainly not 58 billion times worth.
@infinltyshock The USDA calculates 10 billion land mammals. Approx. 8.5 billion are "poultry".Fishes are counted in tonnage rather than by "unit" or "piece".World stats of 58 billion statistic is cited by the UN Food & Ag Administration.You can also google a daily slaughter statistic for all "FDA inspected slaughterhouses" - Not hard to find at all."Things cost money"-OR do you mean to say "lives (or the ending of them) is profitable? Myself, I wished farmers would raise beans not beings.
So become a farmer and raise whatever you decide. Let the consumers decide with their wallets then we'll see what the overall opinion is of saving what is essentially a food crop.
@infinltyshock So I guess everyone who didn't agree with slavery should have just up as well? And people who don't like gay bashing... Or wife beating - I mean what business is it of theirs - Right... As long as a culture is in agreement with slavery, bigotry, violence, etc... Why not just be quiet about all exploitation. Child slaves gather cocoa-beans for chocolate... Heck, going by what you advocate no one should give a darn because money rules. I'm not a fan of your world at all.
youre comparing apples to the empire state building...no relevance to this topic whatsoever. If you dont like my world take your rose colored glasses off and take yourself back to disney land.
@infinltyshock No... It is you who said I should "raise whatever I decide"... Well, I should also be able to advocate which ever way I wish... And I intend to continue advocating for veganism, animal rights and a peaceful, non-violent world. Better men than me lived their whole lives on such a course..I would be proud to follow in their compassionate, just and rational path. I am not in "Disneyland"- It is you who thinks society can swallow cruelty & killing 3 times a day without consequence.
Good for you. Im proud of you. You, your husband, and several of your neighbors in your sub-century worth of existence have the knowledge and foresight to tell mother nature and 4billion years of evolution that you know better. Way to stick it to the man!
@infinltyshock I'm gathering you're taking the meat is "natural" position.Even though we've evolved biologically, physiologically and psychologically to be even having this discussion? Obviously there is a "movement" of sorts... I've seen the every so slow turn.But - It's a-turnin' none the less.Now-what's natural?Look at the male sex in every species of animal-Bright, colorful - Loud and pretty. Seems like man has selectively chosen what is "natural" there- why not with killing animals too? ;)
@beaelliott Chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, etc are not sentient beings. Theyre animals. Find me a goat that can build a civilization, make laws, or create art. None of these ANIMALS are capable of any of these tasks and as a matter of fact these creatures are not even capable of taking a shit in an orderly manner. When they get the urge to defecate you better not be in the way because its coming...ready or not.
@infinltyshock It has nothing to do with writing a symphony or building an airplane. Sentient means "aware"... Animals know they exist within the world. They have interests in continuing their lives. Poetry (or the way we shit) has nothing to do with those qualities that all animals equally share - INCLUDING US.Are you saying it's okay to kill because they are not as "intelligent" as we?If that's the case, I know a brain dead child- May I harvest his organs... Since he must wear diapers... (?)
@beaelliott Animals have no sentience or awareness. What you mistake instinct and biological programming within their miniscule brains for these human features. They can be trained the same as any other animal no matter what its supposed 'intelligence' and has no evidence of 'sentience' or any awareness. Im saying theyre ok to kill because that is how nature created this entire ecosystem. Humans, dead or alive, are different from a food item.
@infinltyshock@infinltyshock Of course they are sentient.You're not trying to say they are rocks or machines now are you?Of course "they" can be trained like all other animals- dogs, cats, birds, etc... Because they ALL have awareness and capabilities of learning to whatever extent they are able.We are only arguing degrees. Even so pigs ARE SMARTER than dogs.What on earth is a "food item"?These are animals-dog, cat, pig, chicken, man, cow, frog.We all have one thing in common.We all feel pain.
@beaelliott If by inherent learning to obtain a benefit to their existence based on food, yea. its not learning for the sake of knowledge, its learning as a tool for survival. lets see you train a chicken to do something other than follow you around for food. if pigs were so smart theyd be petitioning their congressional representatives to object to their use as a human food source. like i said earlier...a million years or so for that to come about.
@infinltyshock So What? It is not the scale of their intelligence or "smarts" that is the issue - It is that they can suffer just as any other living being. Your cat - May not be gifted to perform "tricks" or such - But you still wouldn't approve of harming a cat - Why and how can you justify harming a chicken? They both suffer equally regardless of their brain "abilities".
pain is irrelevant. it is a physiological response to stimuli as a means to notify the organism of the stimuli that is potentially harmful to its existence. there is no emotion attached whatsover and you using it in as an example in this case is moot.
@infinltyshock Pain is irrelevant??? Of course to YOU who is not the victim of "irrelevant pain" would have the privilege of judging it as such. How pompass of you to evaluate that another living beings suffering doesn't matter because their "emotional" intelligence is inferior to yours. Pitiful. Tsk, tsk.
"You just get used to it". You know why? Because you desensitize everything that is compassionate or empathetic in human values. No one decent wishes to cause an animals death. You can say "food chain" all you want... There is no NEED to eat animals in order to thrive. It's just habit and economics that keeps the killing chain going. We can thrive on a nutritious and healthy plant based diet. The slaughter and eating of animals is for "taste" alone... That makes it cruel.
well you're not completely right there, i mean i do respect what you believe in and all, unlike most people who comment here but it is proven that your intestinal wall shrinks about 2/3 if you stop eating meat causing intestinal cancer, or at least ups your odds about 80% , eating to much of it ofcourse is bad as well, but ruling out things from your diet, unless fastfood etc, is NEVER good for your health, to varie in your diet is always the best.
@GaertnerJan - Actually if you google American Dietetic Association response to a plant based diet you'll find this:"It is the position of the American Dietetic Association that appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases." I've never heard of intestinal cancer issues despite extensive research regarding all aspects of nutrition sorry.
well, i know a surgeon who deals with these things on a daily base and has been doing that for 30 years orso, and this is what he noticed with absolute vegetarians, also, most people eat to much meat, so well, you're right in that case, then eating no meat is better as eating too much, and i know almost nobody who actually eats the proportions of meat which he/she really needs.
conclusion; most people should eat less meat, it would be definetely better for their health. [part 1]
and people are in my opinion mainly vegetarian, so all those people out there who are eating more meat than fruit and vegetables, well that's no good either [part 2]
way ta go darwin...youve just proven that 4 billion years of human evolutionary theories are wrong. all the scientist that have done extensive research on the human digestive system showing protein from animals is a vital constituent of a humans diet. good job and dont forget all the little people when youre collecting your nobel prize
i am trying to tell people that apart from all your ethical viewingpoints meat is important to a good health, in on part of that comment you contradict me, in the other you dont, please explain?
oh so confused e_e"" ok i will admit i love animals and i respect them..but we have to eat too.. and that is true its part of the food chain..but then again we can atleast let them grow on a peaceful farm... Cant we all agree..?
@XxGorexCelxX Yeah we have to eat, but who says we have to eat meat...? It's not part of the food chain. We ruined the food chain when we started raising animals for meat.
@yes44332211 Oh so what we have to go hunting now? Come on its reality. What if people dont like veggies or are allergic to them? I realize I sounded more intelligent in my first comment but either way. It was destined. I wish the vegetarians would deal with it and stop trying to change us to liking salad and... Tomatos... Blehh... Im not calling you one though but I will admit it sure sounds like it.
"chickens are raised to be eaten..." hahaha...no no no---NO animal is meant to be "RAISED" for consumption or to become a product--it is meant to be respected by other species until it meets it's natural death by it's predator. We have no right to infringe upon their natural lives, to take away their oppurtunity to roam freely, experience companionship, compassion; to feel the sun on their skin.When we confine animals in any way, we no longer fully respect their purpose for themselves and for us
U MOTHER FUCKING ASS HOLES CAN BE VEGITARIENS OR W/E U MOTHER FUCKING RED NECKS DONT GOTTA KILL ARE ANIMALS YOU JACK ASS MOTHER FUCKING HOLE LICKING BITCHES
@theHFchannel yes, its part of the food chain, but when we no longer respect the natural lives that these animals are owed, we no longer deserve to be a part of the food chain. We have disrupted the flow of nature and taken control of whatever and whoever we wish; we no longer have respect for the lives of the animals we consume. Furthermore, we now have great alternatives to all dairy/egg/meat prodcuts, yet STILL continue to do this crap, plus factory farming.
@theHFchannel yes, its part of the food chain, but when we no longer respect the natural lives that these animals are owed, we no longer deserve to be a part of the food chain. @theHFchannel "Chains" can be broken... The animals as "food" system may have worked once when it was NECESSARY.... And when we didn't know of animal sentience. Our days of ignorance are over --- Time to step up and practice what we say: It is wrong to harm the innocent when there are other choices. Every decent person will agree to this moral mandate. Wake up call! There ARE other (better) choices. ;)
sentient animals...how exquisite of an observation. are you a proponent of affirmative action and racial hiring quotas for livestock to allow them to become functioning members of human society?
@infinltyshock - Not hardly... There really is no comparison to allowing a being to vote, drive a car or to go to college - As opposed to the "right" not to have their throats slit. Your humor is a sad attempt to avoid the very fundamental crux of the argument: Nonhumans value their lives as much as we value ours... They feel the same fear and pain that your beloved pooch or kitty feels... We don't NEED to kill them in the first place. Every "justification" beyond that - is moot.
if youre so high and mighty about preserving life move to a desert somewhere and eat rocks because otherwise no matter what you eat it will be something that had been alive at some point.
@infinltyshock Nothing "high and mighty" about it... Just plain 'ol decency. Anyways, if you're talking about being "judgmental" - Don't you think it's kind of "judgmental" deciding who lives or dies based on the wants of your taste buds?Just askin...
You're right, all life requires some harm in some way... But ya know - I'm not breeding beings just to kill - That makes a whole lotta difference in my POV. I can't be "perfect" but I was taught that it's nicer to try to be kind when you can be. ;)
its evolution and the simple biological function of existing. if nature had such qualms about animals consuming other animals all life forms would use sunlight as energy. then youd have people complaining that the photons dont have a choice.
@infinltyshock ... Ah - "evolution". And so we evolved from out of the caves. We no longer poop in the woods or have a show of physical prowess in order to "claim" one's mate. I think if we can get past all those essential biological instincts we can train ourselves to eat a sweet potato rather than a rabbit. Don't cha think? I have LOTS of hope for my species to rise above our primordial goo. ;)
no. i want protein. i want a varied diet to satiate the hunger that billions of years of evolution has caused me to have. you want to eat sweet potatoes go for it. enjoy when your body rots away from the inside out due to lack of protein. keep this in mind: the human body can provide needed carbohydrates for energy from a protein source but CANNOT produce protein from a carbohydrate source.
@infinltyshock - As I recall during my 45+ years of eating meat it was a choice of "chicken, pork or beef".I bet anything I eat more "variety" of food than you do.Lack of protein?Surely you're no dietitian either.Sourcing protein isn't a problem at all.Eat enough calories and the protein will follow.The American Dietetic Assoc. has taken a stand that a plant based diet can be healthy for people of all stages of life.Beans, legumes, nuts & seeds are excellent sources of protein-with 0 cholesterol
yea...im a dietitian. youre so shortsighted im not sure whether i should ignore you or laugh at your idiotic fantasies. humans are biologically designed to be omnivores and its irrelevant what an association of marginally capable american dietetics has for an opinion. be my guest...eat 86 pounds of peanuts instead of a few ounces of animal protein.
@infinltyshock - 3.53 ounces of soy, actually has more "protein" than ANY "meat". There's a long list of other legumes, veggies, nuts and seeds that also have more. When's the last time you heard of someone being ill because of a "protein deficiency"? The problem hasn't been lack of "protein" in the American diet since the end of the Civil War. Where have you been?
mmm...franken-soy...which isnt real soy. its some amalgam of genetically modified alien organism with dubious nutritional value. and it taste like a cross between ass and goat shit. look up other affects of consuming soy in the quantities required to meet nutritional needs. the reason there isnt a lack of protein in americans diet is precisely due to the nature of harvesting the necessary sources of animal protein that you have such a hardon for.
@infinltyshock Actually, I don't eat much "soy" or fake "meat" myself... But some of my friends do as a transition from what they've eaten for years from mindless "habit". I'm certain you'll find something against black beans, navy beans, butter beans... and so on. But honestly, these are the best sources of protein as your body can digest them much better than rotting carcasses. Check out the length of your intestines and compare them to a carnivore -
youre calling 4 billion years of evolution a mindless habit...
biologically the human body does NOT digest legumes as effectively as animal protein. if you want to get technical about effectiveness in digestion, eggs top the list. im sure that also tops your list of underdogs to be defended since not only is it a helpless animal its a BABY helpless animal. talk about sadistic, eh? humans are not biologically carnivores. we're omnivores...the most effective method
@infinltyshock I'm calling todays meat eating mindless. Our whole system is carnist - We use animals without even acknowledging the practice... But the industry keeps most things hidden because close examination would make it repugnant to most decent people.You're right though... Eggs being had at the expense of suffocating or macerating billions of newborn "worthless" male chicks is horrifying to me... I was not raised to be an ogre.
@beaelliott there is nothing mindless about it. centuries of selective breeding and industrialization of harvesting animals has helped contribute to western protein consumption being the pinnacle in all of human history. eggs are a part of the peoples diet...if you have a better use for 'worthless' male chicks youre more than welcome to adopt however many of them hatch. what suggestion do YOU have for them?
@theHFchannel no its not becasue if it was part of the food chain wewouldnt be using all these machines to over kill them, we would be killing them with our bare hands........
DUDE how can the guy say they were raised for a reason, wich is to be eaten. I mean, DOES IT EVEN MAKE ANY SENCE?? it's like saying it's they're destiny! THIS IS JUST SO WRONG!
@0n3Bl00dyM3ss if you didnt eat/ kill this chicken this chicken would suffer a horrible painful death from overeating maybe do some research before you post next time
@LeghornBreeder i dont eat animals cuz i think of them as ppl so wen ppl die, do we eat them? no. well... maybe... and i dont do researches on everything i post on cuz thats a waste of my time and its too nerdy for my taste :P
TOO MANY FUCKING HUMANS TO FEED. I would be glad if the world ended tomorrow to put an end to our bullshit on earth. Imagine all the slaughterhouses ceased to function. Humans would have to rely on harvesting crops, vegetables, and you know, even a few livestock animals are ok to eat. But mass slaughtering over 100 000 animals, at LEAST per day day, is fucking digusting just so these fat fucking americans can eat their steak, or two, or three, or four. Fucking bastards.
@TheSiteTech 50 billion animals are slaughtered and die from other causes every year only in factory farms. You obviously don't have any of your facts right to say only 100,000 animals die every year. Animals can feel just as much as any human and people like you disgust me who could sit through a video like this and not care. It goes to show you that the average Americans who consume 100 animals every year and can sit videos like this are the scum who make this disgusting business thrive.
@TheSiteTech........moron? thats hardly an insult coming from someone who replies with nasty comments to just about every person (and not just on this video) just to get attention. you need to get a life...not me.
Slaughterhouse rationale: SInce 99.5% of us (or more) do not want to kill the animals they eat, the slaughter has to kill and process 200-300 times or more the animals that he would need to survive. It becomes a scale of the death that shocks people more than the death of the individual animal.
Keep up the good work ,it reminds me of days long gone of my father an i going to farm houses, to slaughter pigs and lambs,bring back the old days they were more humane,when animals were killed one at a time not in the hundreds.
May I ask how you kill them?? Do u slit their throat or do u snap it so they won't suffer? The only problem I have is the way people kill animals and how slaughterhouses treat them.
ZOMG INFOES!! DIDJ00 FIND TEHM ON TEH WEBS??? LIEK THAT TEH EARTH IZ COOLING SO ITZ NOT WARMING RITE?!?!?
Greenhouse gasses, like Carbon Dioxide, do indeed exist in greater and greater quantities every day, and this does indeed alter the climate, which does indeed threaten life of humans on this planet. It's not a liberal conspiracy. It's science, and consumption waste.
the argument for clean, healthy food needs to be separated from the argument against cruelty and killing entirely. people who bitch and moan about animal rights usually have no idea where their food comes from and seem perfectly fine killing plants, which, last I checked, are also living things. and people who buy Tyson chicken and KFC probably should care that it's treated horribly from birth to slaughter, but mass market food is inexpensive and easily obtained nowadays.
you contradict yourself in saying "people shouldn't care about cruelty" but then saying "people who buy cruel things should care where it comes from".
caring involves action. people have a moral imperative not to support unnecessary cruelty in the face of healthier alternatives. period.
When did I say people shouldn't care about cruelty? I said that healthy eating should be separated ideologically from animal rights because one's got nothing to do with the other. I fail to see a contradiction here.
I also maintain (you completely ignored,) that PLANTS TOO ARE LIFE- Killing plants is taking life- so perhaps too the argument for or against necessary lifetaking to feed people should be separated from animal cruelty as well.
And really- who is FOR unnecessary cruelty? I'm not!
you would be FOR unnecessary cruelty if you were paying for it to happen. i.e., meat.
your argument is nonsensical in that it fails to address the most critical point. just because we can't avoid killing every tiny nonsentient thing doesn't mean we have to support something that is very clearly both cruel and unnecessary - the overwhelming slaughter of animals and natural resources in the name of meat & dairy.
meat production is not necessary lifetaking. we could feed more people without.
it is human nature to eat meat. We are preditors. I agree that slaughter houses could become more humane, but we all buy the same things at the store that we see in that video.
You all are over reacting have any of you ever took an agracultral cass or check into the meat industry there are procedure they have to take to make sure the animals don't suffer. So until you get edicated on the subject you just sound like a bunch of idiots bitching. And buy the way to all of you vegans out there plants are living things to so you are murdering monsters to so there. Eat more meat.

@XxuwantmehxX Meat isn't the only thing with protein, It's in dairy, eggs, nuts, beans, Tofu & other soy products. If you want to eat meat or not eat meat, that's a personal decision.
Mspokemonfan2 6 months ago
@XxuwantmehxX actually you can eat a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and still get all 9 amino acids without eating meat. As long as you can stick to it, you can get all the proteins from a well balanced veggie meal.

thats because the "-" key withholds the following word from the search, so if you search "Let no meat enter your body-Jesus" you are searching
return results of "let no meat enter your body" WITHOUT the word Jesus ANYWHERE IN THE ARTICLE.

@Owntkthx Oh please. I googled Let no meat enter your body and got 13,500,000 results while you said 0, and Jesus comes up 9 times on the 1st page.

"“(Christ talking) Do you have anything here to eat?” 42 They gave him a piece of broiled fish, 43 and he took it and ate it in their presence."
Luke 24:41-43
Even when veganviews is taken to be fact, which it isn't- the verses quoted do not indicate Jesus' lack of reliance on meat, which was explicitly permitted in the old testament. In fact, he ate fish explicitly, as a way to prove his corporeal nature, rather than just as a spirit after the resurrection.

@infinltyshock - Yeah... But they... The predatory non-humans have no "choice" - And THAT makes all the difference in the world! ;)
beaelliott 1 year ago

if they had the choice humans wouldnt be at the top of the food chain. go to the zoo and feed yourself to something and let me know how philosophical you are after you see how biology and the ecosystem really function.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock You know... If they could think "rationally" and have "moral superiority" there's no telling really what might happen. Maybe cows would enslave us, steal our babies so they could give it to their own calves??? OR maybe chickens would put us in cages and eat us? Truth is - "biologically" we don't eat the fierce predators at all... We eat the docile, innocent lambs and piglets... Who could never do us any harm. Your "logic" is desperate and fails miserably.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
dozens of centuries of breeding and domestication is the result of modern livestock. they are docile because humans bred them to be that way. if lions and tigers and bears were acceptable food items with acceptable amounts and flavors of meat they would be more frequently used as food. as it is now they are simply opportunity kills for some africans who possess minimal animal husbandry skills
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock "flavors of meats" - Oh my, you're no culinary expert are you? "Meat" has no "flavor"... No such thing as "beef flavor" or "chicken flavor" or "fish flavor" - They are all just materials altered and enhanced by seasonings and spices.All by the way, made from plant sources.And let's face it, these cows chickens and pigs didn't start out being "man eaters" now did they? We just made them more "docile" by confinement...As I recall, we did the same to slaves and Indians.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
after that statement there is no other conclusion than you are insane. chicken, beef, cat, and even specific types of fish have different flavors and textures and only a fool would dispute that fact. if you refuse to consume animal protein your only other option is to consume plant protein which places you in the same category as those you despise so...a plant killer. hint: slavery and indians have no relevance to this topic whatsoever. youve completely lost any credibility you had
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock The relevancy of exploiting "others" for their "value" while disregarding their wants, needs and RIGHTS is absolutely pertinent.Some are bigots against people with different sexual orientation, people of different color, or different religions.Those who have a notion of "superiority" regarding nonhumans are called speciesists.And BTW you don't score any intellectual points by inferring "plant pain". A 5 year old knows the difference between eating an apple & slicing a pig's throat

infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock "inanimate objects" are sneakers, ipods, and leafblowers - Not sentient beings. 4 billion years ago we also pooped in the woods and lived in caves - I hardly think that's a good reason to slaughter innocent animals... Just because we've done it for so long. Doing something kind even though it's a "new" endeavor doesn't make the act any less significant. In fact I'd say it was the courageous ones who paved the way. infinltyshock 1 year ago
Seems like man has selectively chosen what is "natural" there- why not with killing animals too? ;)
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott Chickens, cows, pigs, sheep, etc are not sentient beings. Theyre animals. Find me a goat that can build a civilization, make laws, or create art. None of these ANIMALS are capable of any of these tasks and as a matter of fact these creatures are not even capable of taking a shit in an orderly manner. When they get the urge to defecate you better not be in the way because its coming...ready or not.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock It has nothing to do with writing a symphony or building an airplane. Sentient means "aware"... Animals know they exist within the world. They have interests in continuing their lives. Poetry (or the way we shit) has nothing to do with those qualities that all animals equally share - INCLUDING US.Are you saying it's okay to kill because they are not as "intelligent" as we?If that's the case, I know a brain dead child- May I harvest his organs... Since he must wear diapers... (?)
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott Animals have no sentience or awareness. What you mistake instinct and biological programming within their miniscule brains for these human features. They can be trained the same as any other animal no matter what its supposed 'intelligence' and has no evidence of 'sentience' or any awareness. Im saying theyre ok to kill because that is how nature created this entire ecosystem. Humans, dead or alive, are different from a food item.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock @infinltyshock Of course they are sentient.You're not trying to say they are rocks or machines now are you?Of course "they" can be trained like all other animals- dogs, cats, birds, etc... Because they ALL have awareness and capabilities of learning to whatever extent they are able.We are only arguing degrees. Even so pigs ARE SMARTER than dogs.What on earth is a "food item"?These are animals-dog, cat, pig, chicken, man, cow, frog.We all have one thing in common.We all feel pain.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott If by inherent learning to obtain a benefit to their existence based on food, yea. its not learning for the sake of knowledge, its learning as a tool for survival. lets see you train a chicken to do something other than follow you around for food. if pigs were so smart theyd be petitioning their congressional representatives to object to their use as a human food source. like i said earlier...a million years or so for that to come about.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock So What? It is not the scale of their intelligence or "smarts" that is the issue - It is that they can suffer just as any other living being. Your cat - May not be gifted to perform "tricks" or such - But you still wouldn't approve of harming a cat - Why and how can you justify harming a chicken? They both suffer equally regardless of their brain "abilities".
beaelliott 1 year ago 2
@beaelliott
pain is irrelevant. it is a physiological response to stimuli as a means to notify the organism of the stimuli that is potentially harmful to its existence. there is no emotion attached whatsover and you using it in as an example in this case is moot.

@infinltyshock Pain is irrelevant??? Of course to YOU who is not the victim of "irrelevant pain" would have the privilege of judging it as such. How pompass of you to evaluate that another living beings suffering doesn't matter because their "emotional" intelligence is inferior to yours. Pitiful. Tsk, tsk.

so that people like you can ask people who make videos like this why they make videos like this
infinltyshock 1 year ago
"You just get used to it". You know why? Because you desensitize everything that is compassionate or empathetic in human values. No one decent wishes to cause an animals death. You can say "food chain" all you want... There is no NEED to eat animals in order to thrive. It's just habit and economics that keeps the killing chain going. We can thrive on a nutritious and healthy plant based diet. The slaughter and eating of animals is for "taste" alone... That makes it cruel.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
well you're not completely right there, i mean i do respect what you believe in and all, unlike most people who comment here but it is proven that your intestinal wall shrinks about 2/3 if you stop eating meat causing intestinal cancer, or at least ups your odds about 80% , eating to much of it ofcourse is bad as well, but ruling out things from your diet, unless fastfood etc, is NEVER good for your health, to varie in your diet is always the best.
GaertnerJan 1 year ago
@GaertnerJan - Actually if you google American Dietetic Association response to a plant based diet you'll find this:"It is the position of the American Dietetic Association that appropriately planned vegetarian diets, including total vegetarian or vegan diets, are healthful, nutritionally adequate, and may provide health benefits in the prevention and treatment of certain diseases." I've never heard of intestinal cancer issues despite extensive research regarding all aspects of nutrition sorry.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
well, i know a surgeon who deals with these things on a daily base and has been doing that for 30 years orso, and this is what he noticed with absolute vegetarians, also, most people eat to much meat, so well, you're right in that case, then eating no meat is better as eating too much, and i know almost nobody who actually eats the proportions of meat which he/she really needs.
conclusion; most people should eat less meat, it would be definetely better for their health. [part 1]
GaertnerJan 1 year ago
@beaelliott
and people are in my opinion mainly vegetarian, so all those people out there who are eating more meat than fruit and vegetables, well that's no good either [part 2]
GaertnerJan 1 year ago
@GaertnerJan
way ta go darwin...youve just proven that 4 billion years of human evolutionary theories are wrong. all the scientist that have done extensive research on the human digestive system showing protein from animals is a vital constituent of a humans diet. good job and dont forget all the little people when youre collecting your nobel prize

XxGorexCelxX 1 year ago

There ARE other (better) choices. ;)
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
sentient animals...how exquisite of an observation. are you a proponent of affirmative action and racial hiring quotas for livestock to allow them to become functioning members of human society?
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock - Not hardly... There really is no comparison to allowing a being to vote, drive a car or to go to college - As opposed to the "right" not to have their throats slit. Your humor is a sad attempt to avoid the very fundamental crux of the argument: Nonhumans value their lives as much as we value ours... They feel the same fear and pain that your beloved pooch or kitty feels... We don't NEED to kill them in the first place. Every "justification" beyond that - is moot.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
if youre so high and mighty about preserving life move to a desert somewhere and eat rocks because otherwise no matter what you eat it will be something that had been alive at some point.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock Nothing "high and mighty" about it... Just plain 'ol decency. Anyways, if you're talking about being "judgmental" - Don't you think it's kind of "judgmental" deciding who lives or dies based on the wants of your taste buds?Just askin...
You're right, all life requires some harm in some way... But ya know - I'm not breeding beings just to kill - That makes a whole lotta difference in my POV. I can't be "perfect" but I was taught that it's nicer to try to be kind when you can be. ;)
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
its evolution and the simple biological function of existing. if nature had such qualms about animals consuming other animals all life forms would use sunlight as energy. then youd have people complaining that the photons dont have a choice.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock ... Ah - "evolution". And so we evolved from out of the caves. We no longer poop in the woods or have a show of physical prowess in order to "claim" one's mate. I think if we can get past all those essential biological instincts we can train ourselves to eat a sweet potato rather than a rabbit. Don't cha think? I have LOTS of hope for my species to rise above our primordial goo. ;)
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
no. i want protein. i want a varied diet to satiate the hunger that billions of years of evolution has caused me to have. you want to eat sweet potatoes go for it. enjoy when your body rots away from the inside out due to lack of protein. keep this in mind: the human body can provide needed carbohydrates for energy from a protein source but CANNOT produce protein from a carbohydrate source.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock - As I recall during my 45+ years of eating meat it was a choice of "chicken, pork or beef".I bet anything I eat more "variety" of food than you do.Lack of protein?Surely you're no dietitian either.Sourcing protein isn't a problem at all.Eat enough calories and the protein will follow.The American Dietetic Assoc. has taken a stand that a plant based diet can be healthy for people of all stages of life.Beans, legumes, nuts & seeds are excellent sources of protein-with 0 cholesterol
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
yea...im a dietitian. youre so shortsighted im not sure whether i should ignore you or laugh at your idiotic fantasies. humans are biologically designed to be omnivores and its irrelevant what an association of marginally capable american dietetics has for an opinion. be my guest...eat 86 pounds of peanuts instead of a few ounces of animal protein.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock - 3.53 ounces of soy, actually has more "protein" than ANY "meat". There's a long list of other legumes, veggies, nuts and seeds that also have more. When's the last time you heard of someone being ill because of a "protein deficiency"? The problem hasn't been lack of "protein" in the American diet since the end of the Civil War. Where have you been?
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
mmm...franken-soy...which isnt real soy. its some amalgam of genetically modified alien organism with dubious nutritional value. and it taste like a cross between ass and goat shit. look up other affects of consuming soy in the quantities required to meet nutritional needs. the reason there isnt a lack of protein in americans diet is precisely due to the nature of harvesting the necessary sources of animal protein that you have such a hardon for.
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock Actually, I don't eat much "soy" or fake "meat" myself... But some of my friends do as a transition from what they've eaten for years from mindless "habit". I'm certain you'll find something against black beans, navy beans, butter beans... and so on. But honestly, these are the best sources of protein as your body can digest them much better than rotting carcasses. Check out the length of your intestines and compare them to a carnivore -
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott
youre calling 4 billion years of evolution a mindless habit...
biologically the human body does NOT digest legumes as effectively as animal protein. if you want to get technical about effectiveness in digestion, eggs top the list. im sure that also tops your list of underdogs to be defended since not only is it a helpless animal its a BABY helpless animal. talk about sadistic, eh? humans are not biologically carnivores. we're omnivores...the most effective method
infinltyshock 1 year ago
@infinltyshock I'm calling todays meat eating mindless. Our whole system is carnist - We use animals without even acknowledging the practice... But the industry keeps most things hidden because close examination would make it repugnant to most decent people.You're right though... Eggs being had at the expense of suffocating or macerating billions of newborn "worthless" male chicks is horrifying to me... I was not raised to be an ogre.
beaelliott 1 year ago
@beaelliott there is nothing mindless about it. centuries of selective breeding and industrialization of harvesting animals has helped contribute to western protein consumption being the pinnacle in all of human history. eggs are a part of the peoples diet...if you have a better use for 'worthless' male chicks youre more than welcome to adopt however many of them hatch. what suggestion do YOU have for them?

TOO MANY FUCKING HUMANS TO FEED. I would be glad if the world ended tomorrow to put an end to our bullshit on earth. Imagine all the slaughterhouses ceased to function. Humans would have to rely on harvesting crops, vegetables, and you know, even a few livestock animals are ok to eat. But mass slaughtering over 100 000 animals, at LEAST per day day, is fucking digusting just so these fat fucking americans can eat their steak, or two, or three, or four. Fucking bastards.

@Zam1Fear Theres 9 Billion Humans. Harvesting 100,000 animals to feed 9 billion humans is fine

Slaughterhouse rationale: SInce 99.5% of us (or more) do not want to kill the animals they eat, the slaughter has to kill and process 200-300 times or more the animals that he would need to survive. It becomes a scale of the death that shocks people more than the death of the individual animal.

the argument for clean, healthy food needs to be separated from the argument against cruelty and killing entirely. people who bitch and moan about animal rights usually have no idea where their food comes from and seem perfectly fine killing plants, which, last I checked, are also living things. and people who buy Tyson chicken and KFC probably should care that it's treated horribly from birth to slaughter, but mass market food is inexpensive and easily obtained nowadays.
jackhalfaprayer 2 years ago
you contradict yourself in saying "people shouldn't care about cruelty" but then saying "people who buy cruel things should care where it comes from".
caring involves action. people have a moral imperative not to support unnecessary cruelty in the face of healthier alternatives. period.
LARAMONExALFNOWx 2 years ago
When did I say people shouldn't care about cruelty? I said that healthy eating should be separated ideologically from animal rights because one's got nothing to do with the other. I fail to see a contradiction here.
I also maintain (you completely ignored,) that PLANTS TOO ARE LIFE- Killing plants is taking life- so perhaps too the argument for or against necessary lifetaking to feed people should be separated from animal cruelty as well.
And really- who is FOR unnecessary cruelty? I'm not!
jackhalfaprayer 2 years ago
Also- what healthier alternatives? Healthier for whom? This I've got to hear.
jackhalfaprayer 2 years ago
you would be FOR unnecessary cruelty if you were paying for it to happen. i.e., meat.
your argument is nonsensical in that it fails to address the most critical point. just because we can't avoid killing every tiny nonsentient thing doesn't mean we have to support something that is very clearly both cruel and unnecessary - the overwhelming slaughter of animals and natural resources in the name of meat & dairy.
meat production is not necessary lifetaking. we could feed more people without.
