  • lucky you

  • this is my favorite arcade game besides HOTD 2. i've always wanted my own personal machine. i'm happy for you! Crisis Zone was super fun as well

  • You really love your kids don't you? Nothing is too much to see them happy, right? I'm sure you'll enjoying this game as a family for a long time. God Bless you and your children, I hope they're having fun.

  • I remember this arcade machine when it was at our local movie cinema, awesome game.

    Ah memories.

  • I am jealous i just picked up a area 51 im restoring how much did that set you back and is th emonitotr a projector or is it a crt tube

  • god i love to get 1 them but never see wher i live

  • hey have you moved into your new house yet Scott? If so, will you please make a video of this with the top marquee on it?

  • how much did you pay for this?

  • i love da movie

  • i envy you -_-

  • @kham2914

    Thanks...

There are tons of deals out there.

I think it's a great time to buy these games.

Heck for what I paid it's made up for itself in the money I would have spent in an arcade playing it!

  • Nice, I notice it has the same guns as Virtual Cop one and two arcade machines. I think the first House of the Dead game also used them guns. The light guns could be purchased for the Sega Saturn console which was great.

  • They look the same, but unfortunately this has the same guns as only House of the Dead 2 (Both 1997)

These guns were originally 750.00 to replace and the sensors are 250.00 each. Luckily the NOS is cheaper now!

    Thanks,

    Scott

  • house of the dead 2 is from 1998 actually. and VC 1 and 2 arcade and HOTD1 arcade use the same guns but on those games, the barrel of the guns use lenses and not a plastic black sensor at the end. Sega light gun games from 1997 onward use the black sensor and LEDs around the screen.

  • Yes, I know. I simply meant that the Lost World and House of the Dead 2 Arcade use the same guns. The guns are interchangeable and the games actually only released a couple months apart (Both Sega).

It's funny you keep giving me this info that I already know seeing how I own the game!

    It's cool though...no biggie...

I'm glad somebody's checking these out!

    Scott

  • One thing i find odd about sitdown versions of The Lost World arcade game is that the music can vary from cabinet to cabinet. I watched your Disneyland starcade video too, which has this game (and you mention that its one of your favorite games). Have you played the Lost World there? If so have you noticed any difference in the music on that cabinet compared to this one that you have?

  • The Disneyland Arcade "lost World DX" (See my video of it) and mine were identical is sound and gameplay.

The only difference was that theirs had extensive repairs/mods to the control panel, and sides.

  • There IS a difference between the music on your machine and the one at Disneyland, listen carefully to the one at Disneyland. search for user name 'cooltam' and watch his video titled 'arcade' and you'll see what i mean.

  • Possibly.

    Thanks

  • yeah i do, and i agree with you 100%. This game is very fun to play, especially with 2 players. So, how many lives per credit is that game set on right now?

  • It's maxed at 7 and on "Free-play"

    thanks for the interest,

    Scott

  • actually the max lives to start with can be set up to 9 in test mode. I know that because i have played this in early versions of MAME. There is no max amount of lives you can have in this game.

  • Really nice!

  • Thanks a bunch.
