its really weird that someone would do this. totally missed the point. im a latter day saint and dont actually believe entirely what geneen says literally but it didnt stop me from crying many times throughout the book and seeing the point she makes while relizing my own beliefs and feeling secure with in them which is what i think she set out to do. help women see that their relationships with food mirror their relationships with God and also them selves.

What she is suggesting is NOT that we ARE God - simply that people define their relationship with God in many different ways, and the way we eat, and therefore how we treat our bodies - our temples - is one such way. She's advocating respect for ourselves as well as the universe.

I completely agree with @deenalambert1977. It saddens me that people will refuse to open their minds to new ways of viewing the world and God.
