I saw Michael do this at The Bottom Line in NYC right before his fatal car accident. I was touched beyond words. Share his music with all that you can. Rest in peace, Michael!
You may well be very correct on that. I also had the good fortune of seeing Michael play solo in Scottsdale, AZ, He opened the show with Pinball Wizard and also in Roanoke, VA with quite a few Windham Hill people back in the mid and late 80's. Come to think of it... all of Michael's shows were magical.
this is my uncle... i wish i got to know him better before he died :( i was about 10

I've been yearning to his this without the sythensizer ever since I saw him play it like this in Chicago - Park West.

The show I saw was different- it was just Michael Hedges- no Manring- and Hedges' head was shaved. Maybe it was a yr. later?
