  • Those two thugs completely ruined a mellow and harmonious song! Bob Marley should be turning in his grave.

  • this is not reaggae !

this is shit that destroyed reaggae with barbaric saveage "who who " like a dog !

bob marley is an angel comeare to this animals

  • Yes bredrin Busta Rhymes family is from yard and its the Marley family gave him the honour to sing this song for the late Robert Nesta Marley.

  • all yall talking that shit busta did his thing plus he is rasta one love bet that shit

  • Not going to lie Busta Rhyms part was pretty decent, but the song would have been just fine without it. But yo whats up with Busta little sidekick? what does he know about reggae or does he even know what the song means. the sidekick just made the performance more "gangster", he could have stayed home.

  • May Bob Marley's soul bless Allah!! Busta Rhyms and rap being mixed with reggae seems to be a confusion, fusion. Maybe the message is supposed to be the same BUT these days rappers are well paid privledged people who are used by 'babylon'. The Wailers music came from poor, oppressed and exploited people where image wasn't that important just survival. Rappers are dictated by image and superficial messages.

As far as music goes, angry rap doesn't seem to go well with melodic reggae chants.

  • @beauson45 Busta Rhymes parents are of Jamaican origin. He's a Jamaican American.

  • May Allah Bless BOB MArley!.

  • rasta fire man

  • no problems, i guess we all have strong feelings and differences of opinions, but we can find common ground thru Bob's music & message. no need for bickering, just peace. blessings,k

  • this is nothing but a disgrace to the GREATEST man who wrote this spiritual music, with messages of peace & love. shame on his children for selling out their father, his music and his message. how can one sing about being poor & hungry when they grew up with all the priviledges his success gave them? Bob is my hero, & NO ONE can sing his songs like he did. but in this case, slaughter is the only word i can think of to describe this. SHAME

  • @kayakae ohh brother they keep him alive so shut the fuck up...love the marley family

  • @StonedFreak87 i disagree, my brother. WE keep him alive, still listening and appreciating his message. and maybe trying to become better people because of it. so i will not respond to you with disrespect, just with my honest opinion. peace - k

  • @kayakae hehe sory my words ;) his children was the last gift that he gave to us...so thank him and listening to his kids...ziggy marley make great songs like love is my religion... listening to his stuff

  • Why is Busta Rhymes doing this he is KILLING THIS SONG.. blaaaa boooo .. get that screaming crap off there...let Ziggy do it he is much more talented and sounds a lot like his dad now days..

  • i cant beleive what im watchin here, how can u take one of the most soothing rastafarian beats song by the greatest and ruin it in a matter of 4 minutes 33 seconds, im actaully shocked that julian has done this ... what was he thinkin??? poor bob

  • tributo bob marley

  • This performance is far from Rastafari. Rastafari is in spirit. These kids make noise and mess one of greatest Rastaman psalms.

Julian, seek wisdom of I elders and nah do this agian. Instead of thanking Jah for placing you in I and I messenger' fold you a go insult Rastafari?

  • And the saddest thing; the audience screams the hardest by this song...

  • Get that stupid rapper cunt out !

  • Those that critique Busta have missed the whole point of the gathering and what Bob's visoon was. The point was to unite Soul/R&B with the Reggae and bridge the gap in the African diaspora between those in the states who are of the same color as our brothers and sisters in Jamaica. It is just a cultural exchange....he was against Schism and division in our race. We are both from the same root and Busta is a JAMAICAN. We need to love each other and welcome each other.

  • That back-up rapper killed it (in a bad way) more than Busta.

But honestly, I agree that rappers shouldn't touch roots reggae.

  • some one tell busta to go mess up someone else song

he killed it in a bad way

    that is disrespect

  • RASTA!! jah rastafari!! peace

  • rasta

  • That was not a great performance. Busta Rhymes doesn't really mesh with roots reggae well. His style is too fast and loud. It would be like putting DMX in a Marley song. It just doesn't fit right.

  • what is Busta Rhymes doing in there?

    they messed up the song

  • @aquecedoroleo i agree that's no reggae

  • @aquecedoroleo maybe cuz he has dreadlocks?

  • @FaggotDogg what a horrible excuse!?

  • @aquecedoroleo Oh Pleasee Man Go To Rehearse Music History & Culture ! But Please Don't Write Such Banalities On Just Because You Don't Like How Rap/Reggae Sound Together..

  • @OddAntSounds it's like combining two different souls. N I don't need to go to music n history e culture because I've searched maybe more than you while I'm alive. It was my opinion, i don't like this "soul wrecking" music, if you like it, good. Now don't come to me sayin that I need to know something that I already known dude.

    peace

  • That's Julian Marley in the beginning!

  • Just like I said in previous comments. The only one that truly has possesed his father's "Talent" is Damian. I cannot beleive the "Marley Family" (especially Damian) let this happen! Paz!!

  • Ziggy is good man. Stephen isn't bad either. But this... I wish I never saw this. Such a disrespect to the beautiful song bob created.

  • damn dudes, this a completely disrespect for Bob and Peter who made part of this song.

why Ziggy n Damian let this assassination of the song happen?

i miss the good old Reggae

why C.I.A. had to kill them all, n Lennon too?!

  • Thats Julian Marley...and Busta Rhymes...

  • Jah! this music is terrible

  • He Can't Sing.

    Fullstop.

    Sounds Hideous :S

  • Bob would be sick to know his music has been crapped like this.

  • Chant bobylon 1998 album concert..

  • what a soldierly beat

  • I say fly away home....

  • Comment removed

  • Can someone tell me who the sexy dred is that is singing???? I think i'm in luv....

  • thats true

  • Busta (Y) a chileeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • bobs music is for everyone black/white everyone who believes in peace love happiness justice and freedom he doesnt discriminate an if people more listened to his words there'd be less war hunger and suffering in the world music brings people together and bob tried but i dont think many listened they just associate him with cannabis/drugs they are stupid because know body will ever put it better than bob know matter how many singers musicians come along he talked the talk and walked the walk

  • listen, whats funny... the keyboard riff is exactly the riff on Dylan's "Everybody Must get Stoned" I'm only saying that I find this amusing, as the sacrament takes me home to Zion! lighten, enlighten, then brighten your outlook on life, Bob said it, I only repeat the words so true, WAKE-UP and LOVE, excuse me LIVE! "ya better do both, or ya doin neither"

  • amazing video ,i found the whole concert on video at my local library, loved it damian marley steals the show on a few songs and this mantra by busta rhymes is the pinacle of the concert, All of you will witness when babylon falls" ,,the crowd chants it and busta leaves everyone soaking in what theyd just said, the feeling is powerfull, it conveys the spirit to ignite solidarity in our souls.

an evolution of humanity with a song

imagine using the song to tell about fractional reserve banking!!

  • I liked it, you have to realize it was all done in the spirit of celebration. They were all touched by the words of Bob Marley like many others have been. I've never known Bob to say his music is only for Rastafarians. Julian did a geat job, Busta can make any song hype, and I liked seeing the I three get down at the end!

  • THa 1st evening Isaw this vid I caught tha sprit over me

  • liked this song w/o busta though.

  • u gots to black too feel dat.

all the youths shall witness the day babylon fall. that tune wuz ital n raw im stoked i found diss so back off fo i put i fist thru ur chest. peace be onto all

  • RASTAMAN CHANT ORMOC CITY 2008

  • does anyone knows which concert this is?

  • one love tribute concert to bob marley in 1999 held in jamaica

  • Hip Hop and Reggae are culturally linked as not only do they both come from the Afrikan tradition, Busta Rhymes certainly is no real represetative of Afrikan culture but Hip Hop is, true Hip Hop, do the research on Hip Hop's history please! All of it is Afrikan Music!

  • Good combination of rastaman vibration with busta rhyme. A good knockout!!! Men, I enjoy it, and almost viewing it eveyday. The crowd reacted to it in a positive rastaman vibration way. Ratafari live on.

  • if only bob marley was here in our time;

guess he'll kick the hell out of busta rhyme!

    boo yah! ,,l,,

  • Dis is the light of the Truth! Kick em and make em run and hide from di righteous Jah Fire!

  • JAH punish dis crazy bABYLONIAN whos chantin' det bull shit lyrics onna stage! JAH will prosper an dem gona fall! We com' wit PEACE an not wit da Gangsta! And dont forget to stop supporting hER bABYLONIAN *EACHNESS Rita Marley!

    Jah bless us with righteousness!

    Jah Rasta for I-n-I

  • Bawy why you da try and say Rita Da one babylonian, my bawy, what goin on with you?

  • let me hear ya say "all you shall witness when Babylon Falls" wtf? trying to have people chant about their approaching deaths. Thats pretty damn funny, its good to see the people didn't chant it back.

  • take all that hip hop shit out, a disgrace to bob

  • agreed.....busta rhymes is just a thug criminal.....another great song with REAL meaning ruined.....

  • jah bless the marley family
