For the Dobe to stand toe to toe and goof around shows great strength. A lesser dog would be knocked straight on its butt by a Dogo. Very strong dogs: stronger than a Pit Bull Terrier, and Dogos are usually twice the size. Of course, Pits have tremendous power for their size but are usually much smaller.

Nice dogo... the only thing bad about your Dogo Argentino is that its ears are cropped. No offense, it's your choice and preference. If I'm going to have a dogo I'm not gonna crop its ears.

The dogo is a powerful dog, but by no means 10x more powerful than a similarly sized dog. A beagle could be used to hunt pumas, just get a few, the puma will run up a tree, and they bark until the hunter comes and shoots the puma. But I agree dogo's are some very cool looking dogs. On the whole I've heard mixed reviews on the steadyiness of their temperament. The American bulldog is the strongest breed, at least in weight pulling competitions.
Just for your info. No biggie but Dogos dont point out pumas for hunters. They SINGLE handed KILL Pumas and wild boars. They Kill and eat them. They are the only known breed that sees animals as food. Kind of like the wolf. In argentina the hunters let them eat part of their kill. The kangal and caucasian ovarchark are the strongest breeds. Kangals are on youtube pulling tractors with only their necks. They weigh in excess of 200 pounds. I own one with a good temperament. Just very protective.

Dobes are compact so dont be fooled by their skinnyness. The dogo was probably still more powerful but dobes a hell of a lot more agile and faster so i think it would be quite a challenge thank you very much.

puma doesn't stand a chance. dogos and presas especially have an incredible tolerance for pain, they just don't quit.
it's well known that a dogo or presa can single handedly kill a puma.
