Sorry but, no, just no. Evangelion is a million times better than this. But then again, its also a different target group. This is obviously aimed at 12-14 year olds while eva appeals to anyone who can get past the part that its a 'cartoon'

The difference between Gurren Lagann and Evangelion is, Gurren Lagann is ment to be about hope, while Evangelion tells us that there is no such thing as hope. They're at opposite sides, so to speak. I personally prefer Gurren Lagann, but thats just because I'm not some cynical nutjob who cripples under pressure. So, I cant really identify well with anyone in Evangelion.

Evangelion is highly overrated. I enjoyed it, but it's not as good as everyone says it is. It's full of so much psychobabble bullshit and weird scientific terminology that only the most hardcore of fans can even understand what they're talking about. Also, the series is incredibly depressing...I've watched Bokurano, and only that is better at making the viewer slit his wrists in angst.
