No it isn't, its because not having it be legal is a violation of civil rights. And what problem do you have with gay people anyway? How does the way they live their lives affect you in any way? And why should you be allowed to tell them that they can't live their lives?-Don't say its because it defies the bible-so does divorce, and many other pointless things that nearly everyone does anyway.(It's a "sin"-you don't go to hell for sins-just for not "accepting Jesus", or whatever you call it.)

The state should get out of the marriage racket entirely and grant all rights to engage in the legal contractual agreements currently (but no exclusively) contained therein to all adults regardless of race, creed, or orientation.

If you oppose same-sex marriage, you are being a homophobe. There is no non-bigoted reason to oppose same-sex marriage. So while anti-gay marriage and anti-gay are not the same, the former entails the latter.

i guess i just don't follow how having an opposing view to something makes you have a phobia about it. I'm against kids consuming alcohol, but I don't think I'm a kidphobe. I suspect there are many non-bigoted reasons for opposing something.

If you can come up with a sound, non-bigoted argument against same-sex marriage, I'd love to hear it (honestly, I would). Otherwise, the only possible reason is because you think gay people are somehow less worthy off marriage benefits or less capable of maintaining a good family. And that is homophobic.
