  • Just listened to some GM commnets on Save KPFA's site. It's really disappointing to see that despite the global depression, the power struggle continues.

It doesn't matter what negative publicity comes from all of this in-fighting. What matters is this. KPFA is an expensive and powerful tool to get your views out. Everyone is still entitled to their views. However, it's apparent that winning at all costs comes first. Which is why I won't pledge.

  • I find it a bit strange that these programmers' suggestions for upgrading KPFA's Web presence are Twitter and Facebook pages, when KPFA and the rest of Pacifica have wasted so many years failing to earn the high Google page rank that, e.g., Indybay, the SF Bay View, or any number of other independent sites I could name have earned, with or without resources. To do that Pacifica would have to make its public affairs segments Web searchable.

  • Bensky's spot on.

  • A suggestion. At this critical time, it seems ironic that a lot of progressives are tearing each other down instead of concentrating on what needs to be done.

In Tunisia, people fight for positive change. In Egypt, the same thing. Yet here, ego and profit are more important.
