Okay bruh. Listen here. Titans don't play dirty. They play hard ass football. If the little pussies out there can't handle it then they need to get out of the NFL and go play Canadian football. Titans get the most horrible calls. There was no roughing the passer. that is what got Cecil fired up.

@AptIrrelevance Its also extremely hypocritical of you to call out a team of being dirty when the Broncos "your team" apparently...Which have had guys like Steve the Assassin Atwater, John Lynch, Al Wilson, and most recently Dawkins all have had more than their fair share of "dirty" plays so please stop whining about dirty play in the NFL its all because Goodell is trying to protect players unlike any other commissioner in the history of the NFL.
@Scragg12888 lol, it's obvious you have no idea what you're talking about. Out of all those players, only Lynch had a bad reputation for making illegal hits, and most of that happened before he was on the Broncos. But that's beside the point. I'm not calling anyone out. I'm merely point out that the Titans' reputation existed well before they played the Broncos.
@AptIrrelevance Its obvious you haven't watched a Broncos game before their last superbowl. Steve Atwater would be broke from the ammount of fines he recieved from dirty hits in todays NFL
@Scragg12888 Oh, right, and Deacon Jones would be fined every single week for head slapping offensive linemen in today's NFL. Mel Blount would have been kicked out of the league for clotheslining receivers if he played in today's NFL. What the hell does that have to do with anything? Absolutely nothing.
@AptIrrelevance All I'm trying to say is that you're soft in your interpretation of dirty play and that the NFL presently with Goodell under helm has tried so hard to censor and numb it down to make the players look like the bad guys. When in actuality they (the PLAYERS) are doing nothing different from what has been going on in the NFL since its inaugural season. Thats all I i'm trying to say.
@Scragg12888 I still don't understand what your point is. Are you saying that the Titans players don't KNOW what the rules are and that the league is being unfair, or perhaps that they don't care what the rules are and are willing to accept the consequences? I don't know exactly what era it was where things like hitting a helmetless player from behind or tackling a player by his facemask or leading with the helmet on a late hit weren't considered dirty, but I'd wager it was around 40 years ago.
@Scragg12888 I have never heard anywhere, Steve Atwater, John Lynch, Al Wilson, or Brian Dawkins say thatthey want to be considered the dirtiest player in the NFL, or that they find it enjoyable when they injure or hurt another player. If I am mistaken, please let me know.
Denver Broncos LB Mario Haggan was fined $5,000 for a blow to the face of a Tennessee Titans player in Week 4, reports Lindsay Jones, of The Denver Post.
I'm a Titan fan and I'm glad people think my team is dirty. Maybe the Denver Broncos expected the Titans defense to come on the field in pink too too's....you know, in celebration of breast cancer awareness month. Kyle Orton is a whinny bitch. This is a man's game....
@chezbef That's the opinion of one analyst, who just so happens to be a homer for the Titans. The fact that they're even talking about it proves my point about a reputation existing before this game.
I'm not a Titan's fan, but if you freeze the video as the counter turns from 24 to 25 you will see the D lineman's helmet hit Orton's hip, his pads hit Orton's thigh, and Orton still has the ball in his hand. As a football fan, again not a Titan's fan, I don't understand how this is a penalty, much less a "dirty" play. I'm sure Montana, Marino, Young, Aikman, and Elway would have loved to play in a league where this was a penalty.
Exactly. Thanks for posting! It was frustrating watching this game as a Broncos fan because of how dirty Tennessee was playing. I think the funniest part is certain players (and even Jeff Fisher!) taking umbrage to Orton and McDaniels calling them cheap, even though they are the most penalized team in the league, the most fined team in the league, and have more personal fouls than any team in the league! And they say they're just "playing aggressive"?! Give me a break!
This is a HORRIBLE VIDEO to explain a team as dirty....the first hit was clearly above the knee(which is legal)...the nfl is becoming a pussy league!! the league is losin my respect!!!
This is a HORRIBLE VIDEO to explain a team as dirty....the first hit was clearly above the knee(which is legal)...the nfl is becoming a pussy league!! the league is losin my respect!!!
@trayvonking7 The point of this video isn't to prove the Titans are dirty, it's to prove that they already had a reputation even before the Broncos/Titans game. If the hit on Orton was legal, then why did Marks get fined for it 5 days later?
Thank you for posting this video with your comments. Since one of the commentators said "I don't think they're dirty at all" it really made your point. They play hard, and yes, they get flagged, but they're not doing anything dirty. The roughing the passer call was pretty ticky tacky as well. He was already on his way down and hit Orton just after the throw. He wasn't going for the knees or anything dirty, just trying to make a play.
@AptIrrelevance That make's it right huh? He was falling what do you want him to do? Just dive next to the quarterback and look at him. what a horrible example for showing that the titans are "dirty"
@AptIrrelevance no that is not roughing the passer. they call the "brady rule" something else on the flag. I believe they say hitting the quaterback below the knee
@joeysturm1 If that's true then I take back what I said about the hit. I tend to trust the NFL when a player gets fined for something, since they usually review the play and look at all camera angles before issuing a fine. Still, that hit really isn't the point of this video, it's the commentators bringing up the dirty reputation and talking about all the Titans penalties and fines so far this season.
@AptIrrelevance I get that, but I think the point myself, and others, are trying to make is that there is a fine line between "dirty" and "hard-nosed" football. When you get popped in the mouth (probably a bad choice of words, but go with it) by a very aggressive defense, it is easy to say they are dirty. Half of the Titan's penalties are offsides/false start penalties, so saying they are one of the most penalized teams doesn't tell the whole story. Either way, it's a matter of opinion.
@joeysturm1 What makes it easier is when you already have a reputation that the commentators are talking about, then they proceed to talk about how your team is #1 in the NFL in personal foul penalties just before your coach flips off the refs on national TV. And let's not forget the cheap shot by FInnegan late in the game. The Ravens played extremely aggressive against the Broncos this week, but you don't see anyone coming out and saying they're cheap.
@AptIrrelevance The NFL is trying to protect the players and now more than ever highlight the incidents in which "dirty play" takes place, but if you look at the successful defenses in the past five years you'd realize how much they have in common by being a ferocious and intimidating force to be reckoned. If you watched games from 20-30 years ago you'd probably keel over and die over what you saw. Guys like Lebeau, Jim Johnson, Parcells, and Nolan installed what you're seeing in good D's today
@Scragg12888 So you're saying that all the good defenses in the NFL take lots of cheap shots, get fined regularly, and have tons of personal foul penalties? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's incorrect.
@AptIrrelevance No I'm saying that the "cheap shots, fines, and personal fouls would not be an issue or even exist if not for Goodell trying exponentially hard to crack down and keep the NFL from being close to the game of football that 99% of the nation knows and loves.
@AptIrrelevance No you need to consider what dirty play is and the titans in no way or shape fit your characteristics. Dirty is James Harrison a player who tries to hurt other players and takes pride in bringing pain or injuries to opposing offenses. That is the definition of dirty and you will never see the titans say or do anything held by that standard. So before you single out a team look at the rest of the NFL.
@Scragg12888 Oh, I see. So Cortland Finnegan getting fined three weeks in a row is absolutely no indication of dirty play? And I guess him taking a cheap shot at a guy without his helmet on is AOK? Please.
do you actually think thats a roughing the passer? or a bullshit call? im pretty sure if your team did the exact same thing and got a penalty you'd go nuts
Ask Rodney Harrison and Shawn Merriman if the Titans are dirty.

I'm a Titan fan and I'm glad people think my team is dirty. Maybe the Denver Broncos expected the Titans defense to come on the field in pink too too's....you know, in celebration of breast cancer awareness month. Kyle Orton is a whinny bitch. This is a man's game....

well your titans lost to denver. so i guess their "dirty" play didn't help them

Aww. He hit the quarterback too hard guys :(
Titans make football exciting. If you want to watch fairies throw the ball around watch Peyton Manning or play flag football.

commentator also says: "I don't think they're dirty at all, I think they play hard nose".

He wasn't going for the knees or anything dirty, just trying to make a play.
lokeybg 1 year ago
It IS roughing the passer because he dove at the quarterback's knees. He was fined for the hit as well.
AptIrrelevance 1 year ago
@AptIrrelevance That make's it right huh? He was falling what do you want him to do? Just dive next to the quarterback and look at him. what a horrible example for showing that the titans are "dirty"
Obierock09 1 year ago
@AptIrrelevance no that is not roughing the passer. they call the "brady rule" something else on the flag. I believe they say hitting the quaterback below the knee

@AptIrrelevance Contrary to what the Denver Post reported, Sen'Derrick Marks was not fined for the hit on Orton.
joeysturm1 1 year ago
@joeysturm1 If that's true then I take back what I said about the hit. I tend to trust the NFL when a player gets fined for something, since they usually review the play and look at all camera angles before issuing a fine. Still, that hit really isn't the point of this video, it's the commentators bringing up the dirty reputation and talking about all the Titans penalties and fines so far this season.
AptIrrelevance 1 year ago
@AptIrrelevance I get that, but I think the point myself, and others, are trying to make is that there is a fine line between "dirty" and "hard-nosed" football. When you get popped in the mouth (probably a bad choice of words, but go with it) by a very aggressive defense, it is easy to say they are dirty. Half of the Titan's penalties are offsides/false start penalties, so saying they are one of the most penalized teams doesn't tell the whole story. Either way, it's a matter of opinion.
joeysturm1 1 year ago
@joeysturm1 What makes it easier is when you already have a reputation that the commentators are talking about, then they proceed to talk about how your team is #1 in the NFL in personal foul penalties just before your coach flips off the refs on national TV. And let's not forget the cheap shot by FInnegan late in the game. The Ravens played extremely aggressive against the Broncos this week, but you don't see anyone coming out and saying they're cheap.
AptIrrelevance 1 year ago
@AptIrrelevance The NFL is trying to protect the players and now more than ever highlight the incidents in which "dirty play" takes place, but if you look at the successful defenses in the past five years you'd realize how much they have in common by being a ferocious and intimidating force to be reckoned. If you watched games from 20-30 years ago you'd probably keel over and die over what you saw. Guys like Lebeau, Jim Johnson, Parcells, and Nolan installed what you're seeing in good D's today
Scragg12888 1 year ago
@Scragg12888 So you're saying that all the good defenses in the NFL take lots of cheap shots, get fined regularly, and have tons of personal foul penalties? I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that's incorrect.
AptIrrelevance 1 year ago
@AptIrrelevance No I'm saying that the "cheap shots, fines, and personal fouls would not be an issue or even exist if not for Goodell trying exponentially hard to crack down and keep the NFL from being close to the game of football that 99% of the nation knows and loves.
Scragg12888 1 year ago
@Scragg12888 Then perhaps you should consider the fact that it's possible for any team to be tough and physical without being cheap and dirty.
AptIrrelevance 1 year ago
@AptIrrelevance No you need to consider what dirty play is and the titans in no way or shape fit your characteristics. Dirty is James Harrison a player who tries to hurt other players and takes pride in bringing pain or injuries to opposing offenses. That is the definition of dirty and you will never see the titans say or do anything held by that standard. So before you single out a team look at the rest of the NFL.
Scragg12888 1 year ago
@Scragg12888 Oh, I see. So Cortland Finnegan getting fined three weeks in a row is absolutely no indication of dirty play? And I guess him taking a cheap shot at a guy without his helmet on is AOK? Please.
AptIrrelevance 1 year ago
@Scragg12888 Cortland Finnegan has aspirations to be considered the dirtiest player in the NFL. Look it up.

do you actually think thats a roughing the passer? or a bullshit call? im pretty sure if your team did the exact same thing and got a penalty you'd go nuts
