  • I would use a rocket launcher to stop this idiot japanese murders :)

  • I hope seashepherd wrecks me Japanese ships. They should get a sub, just like in WWII. They knew how to sink a descent Japanese ship.

  • you have to hire The Expendables, to kill these guys bastards

    GOGO Bruce Willis

  • pretty sure thats a bottle of goo they throw...not a knife

  • "JAPANESE WHALERS HAVE OUTSTANDING WARRANTS FOR THEIR ARREST. SEA SHEPHERD CLEARED. Japanese Whalers say they fear being arrested if caught. The crew of the Japanese Fleet have been convicted in Australian Federal court. However, they have fled from conviction & have failed to surrender. If any japanese whalers set foot in Australia, they are are subject to warrants for arrest. The Whalers fled and sailed back to Tokyo and are now felony fugitives from justice." worldnewsnetwork.posterous. com

  • @info145 Do you even know how to be truthful?

The Australian case was a civil trial, not criminal. And the crew of the Japanese fleet weren't even the defendants. So unlike Paul Watson, the Japanese whalers are not felons.

  • @DTofMN " do you even know how to be truthful?" funny coming from you

  • @BBallinManiac Again I ask you to show where I have lied as you imply.

  • Bless you Sea Shepherd. Thank you for saving the japanese people. The mercury in whale meat will soon cause Minimata's disease if more and more whale meat is consumed. Bless you Sea Shepherd! And i'm sure Japan thanks you too Sea Shepherd!

  • fuck off! GO SEA SHEPHERD!!

  • GUYS REMEMBER! SEA SHEPHERD IS NOTHING WITHOUT MONEY!! BOYCOTT SEA SHEPHERD!! DON'T DONATE TO THEM DON'T ATTEND THEIR PUBLIC EVENTS, DON'T BUY THEIR MERCHANDISE, AND DON'T EVEN LIKE THEIR WEBSITE UPDATES! WE CAN STARVE SEA SHEPHERD OUT OF RESOURCES BY FOLLOWING THOSE STEPS

  • @dealerofjustice Unfortunately, there are no shortages of gullible suckers in the world (examples: info145, tasteegold7772, majalca03, hizzleyo, RecentlySeen). They believe and devour every morsel of bullshit/propaganda that SSCS feeds them with, as if they were pieces of gold or nectar from the gods. Their victims/targets are impressionable youth, the mentally disabled/racists and those who are simply too stupid & lazy to check facts for themselves to make informed decisions.

  • @kwanzalimited

Blind yourself to the truth if you wish! It won't hurt us. HAHAHA

The japanese whalers are in the WRONG and as always, they're against the world and are losing!

  • @dealerofjustice

The Sea Shepherds are mutli-national, and those crewmen represent the wishes of the world's majority (and that majority are the people who WILLINGLY donate, so that the Shepherds may act in their proxy).

  • @info145 Please provide proof that the majority of the world agrees with the SSCS.

Because the majority of the world doesn't even care enough to join the IWC. If the majority supported the SSCS and joined the IWC then they could close the loophole that Japan uses. The fact that this hasn't happened points to your claim being false.

  • @info145 I guess you really live in some redneck area/boonies/parallel dimension where ignorance/racial slurs is a normal way of life. I actually kind of feel sorry for you.

  • Comment removed

  • @info145 You mean the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary that doesn't apply to Japan? Or the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary that was established in violation of the applicable regulations?

  • Comment removed

  • @mrsevy What illegal operations would that be?

  • @dealerofjustice would that be the deformed dwarf propaganda buster? The same club footed midget who pretends hes from TEXAS when in fact hes from some north east sewer pipe? And what exactly do you expect that little piece of shit to do to help you out? Maybe you should do a little homework on that phony son of a whore and see he can hardly walk like a normal human being let alone help anyone. Sure the japanese love him but theyre a nation of blubber chewing midgets themselves.

  • the most hilarious part of all this is how much you japs adore and try to emulate us westerners specifically the great AMERICA!!..if your not stuck in a perpetual time warp parading around the streets in dance troupes dressed like fonzi complete with pompadours and 1950's leather jackets singing rock around the clock or some shit you lunatics are strapping skateboards to each foot and stumbling all over the place trying to be like us..now THATS just fucking too much on the funny bone for me!

  • @tasteegold7772 Hurray for Sea Shepherd Conservation Society & Racism!!!

  • @kwanzalimited SHHHHHhhhhhhhhh.....;)

  • @kwanzalimited

You bellyache about "racism" being used against the whale killers, but you blind yourself to what is said about those who want to protect the Whales. It's always violence and wishes of death.

It's always the racism counterattack with you fuckers! Again and again. Stop trying to divert the issue from the japanese crimes.

Change your screen name to "Mentally Limited".

  • @info145 You have your facts backwards. The SSCS are the criminals, the whalers are following the laws.

  • @DTofMN

Wrong. SSCS is enforcing the laws.

The Sea Shepherds prevent the whaling under UN GA RES 37/7: World Charter for Nature, which specifically allows persons or associations to take action

  • @info145 Sorry but you are just swallowing more of Watson's lies.

He even admitted in court that he knows the UNWCfN does not give him or the SSCS any authority and does not allow him or the SSCS to do anything. That was his defense to try and get acquitted of 3 felony charges but sadly he was found guilty of one of the felonies.

  • Bless her soul...

2/14/2012: Actress Zina Bethune has died at the age of 66 following a hit-and-run accident in Los Angeles California. The screen and stage star died in the early morning after she was struck by a vehicle while trying to help an injured animal. She's been seen in TV dramas including The Guiding Light, The Nurses, Police Story, Planet of the Apes, Route 66, CHiPs, Gunsmoke and the Naked City. She also starred in the movie: "Who’s That Knocking at my Door?"

  • Movie: Avatar... In it, the humans had decided they were the supreme intelligent lifeform and they should use their superior technology to take the resources of other species that they decided are of lesser intelligence (who were physically larger than them). So then the humans became the invaders of a world, killing them at will as if they're insignificant. The invaders thought only of profit. The invaded were in tune with nature and only wanted to live in peace. Seem familiar?

  • @info145 You do know that Avatar is what is called FICTION. That means it isn't real. It is a story.

  • @DTofMN

    Art imitates life...

  • @info145 So talking non-human apes are going to take over the planet?

  • @info145 art imitates life? where's your evidence on that? Art is meant to be entertaining and will often go beyond the scope of life.

  • @info145

yes, in that giant peice of hippie propaganda the humans (in perticualr the mil) was 100% evil and the wonderfull peace loveing natives (who just happen to have poison tipped arrows) are all wonderfull and what not.

  • @info145

oh, i didnt realise that you are homo phobic as well as a sea idiot

  • @spcantwell

    WRONG.

    i'm a treehugger!

    Get it right !

  • @info145

treehugger... dirty hippie.... viloent peace protester..... hypocritical idiot by any other name...

  • @spcantwell

What are the whalers and their supporters?

Killers! Lovers of death! Liars! Scammers! Mongers!

"It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity." - Albert Einstein

  • @info145

the whalers and there supporters are fishermen and scientists.

so the whalers are 'killers' for killing whales, but the sea idiots arnt even though they continualy try to sink enitre ships and kill the entier crews? granted in most cases they are more likely to sink there own ships not the whalers.

  • umm nice edited picture IRCWhale....

  • haha nice sea shepherd!

  • I Dont know wha the fuck your talking abou but if you support fucking whaling than your a fucking dipshit

  • I wonder how much of the people who write here have ANY knowledge about wildlife o danger species, take care of enviroment of how a natural habitat cam be destroyed by a simply "mistake" by human beings. Theres a fact , soon we get 8 billon people on the planet, how can a planet support that if humans cant control 1 single thing and vegetal and animal cyrcle its everytime more weak??? we are doomed and u discuss without ANY single knowledge more that u can see on TV.

  • @yamipablo instead discuss and fight and say "u are hippie, u are this or u are that" try to make something, probabbly all of u dont know how to do ANY thing , just open the mouth and speak without think, try to Study envirometal science, or try to comunicate with someone in a real conversation, im sure u cannot do that cause u dont know shit, but u make an opinion, what a strange people

  • Wikileaks also released documents proving that cove guardians put in mercury in the dolphin meat they bought and claimed that it had always had mercury in it.

  • @dealerofjustice At least I'm not Japanese. Unlike those yellow demons, I was born with a moral consciece. It's good what you say about the mercury in the dolphin meat. I hope it kills enough dolphin eaters that they won't want to do it anymore. Let's keep our fingers crossed my good friend. Keep the good news coming, and I wish you luck with the Paul Watson fantasies.

  • @dealerofjustice dude shut the f up you have no idea what you're talking about

  • @hizzleyo shut the h*l* up. you got wrecked in that argument with DTofMN so don't be talking.

  • these hippied flagged my comment so let me repost

    1. PW faced 5 years in prison

    2. SSCS was responsible for a bomb in Norway that destroyed a port and killed over 100 people

    3. Australia is sending 3 ships to arrest the sea shepherds as we speak

    4. SSCS fears arrest in USA, Australia, NZ, UK, and Peru.

    5. SSCS recieves no support from governments and all their income comes from hippies

  • from all the evidence I have showed, there should be no doubt in anyone's mind that SSCS is legal.

  • @majalca03 fuck you bitch. fuck you and all those racist shit shepherds.

  • @dealerofjustice I'm not sure if the google translator worked very well with your message. Let me see if I got it right? Your mother is a bitch, and you want me to fuck her because she's a racist? Well, I 'm not too sure about that, could you send me a picture of her? I mean, how ugly is she? I already know she's stupid, because she gave birth to a retard and didn't abort you, but if she's ugly you will have to find someone else to fuck her, because I won't touch her the fat bitch.

  • @majalca03 fuck you and fuck all the hippies you cunt. go fucking dance with the fatass whales. how much has Paul Watson paid you?!

  • @dealerofjustice I'm sorry my friend, but I'm afraid that the google translator really isn't up to standards and I can't quite get the message. This is what I understood: You said something about you being a hippie and that you would be willing to pay Paul Watson to fuck your fat ass? I wouldn't know if he's into fat jap guys, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I wish you luck my friend. Best regards.

  • Comment removed

  • @majalca03 Shut up you filthy republican. You have no idea what you're saying. if watson isn't an eco terrorist, then explain the bomb in Norway that killed over a hundred people.

  • @dealerofjustice I think that now you are using better translating software, I think I got your message now, let's see, you said that Paul Watson is da bomb, and that you'd like to live with him in the Republic of Norway? Listen bud, I'm not gay, nor am I homophobic either, but seriously, you have to stop using me like I'm Dr. Ruth or something. You are going to have to solve your own sentimental problems bro.

  • @majalca03 Filthy Republican!!!!!!!!!!! You got wrecked in the argument with DT and you have failed to show any evidence that my claims were wrong.

Sea Shepherds are banned in 11 countries, what more evidence do you want?

  • @dealerofjustice P.S. Did I tell you that you are an idiot? What fucking bomb in Norway you dumbass!!!???? The one that the rightwing extremist set off and then proceeded to shoot a whole bunch of teenagers on an island back in July? What the fuck does that have to do with S.S.? And what do republicans have to do with anything you moron? How fucking old are dipship? Nothing you say will make me support whaling of anyking anywhere you fucktard.

  • The list. Out of the millions of animal species in history... Top 12 Smartest Animals ever on Earth: 12. Portia Labiata Jumping Spider 11. Raccoon 10. Rats 9. Ravens & Crows 8. Dogs (namely, The Border Collie) & Cats (namely, The American Shorthair) 7. Rhesus Macaque Monkey 6. North Pacific Giant Octopus 5. African Grey Parrot 4. Elephants 3. Capuchin Monkey 2. Dolphins (namely, Bottlenose) & Whales 1. Apes (namely, Chimpanzee and Gorilla). i didn't make it up. Google it

  • @info145 Well wherever it came from it definitely is made up.

First many of the listings are not species but groups of species.

Second we have enough trouble measuring intelligence in humans, measuring it in other species is even harder and more subjective.

Thirdly different researchers define intelligence differently.

And lastly comparing species is virtually impossible.

  • @info145

oh, you found it on google, it MUST be true then. what criteria did they use? who funded the study? who did the study? or is this just something some random person put online?

  • OK, so people will not ever stop eating animals, but there are guidelines that should be followed:

    1) Don't kill animals whose subsistence is in question.

    2) Kill quickly and humanely.

    3) Replenish.

    4) Respect an animal's sanctuary!

The whale poachers ignore all of these basic common sense points of logic and human decency

  • @info145

    1) 'in question' by who? there are people who 'question' the health value of ANY meat

    2) whos deffinition of 'humanely'? do you think whalers enjoy hurting them? do you think they dont want them to die ASAP so they can start working?

    3) do you want 'whale farms' or something? over a million MINKE whales in the southern ocean alone

    4) the 'sanctuary' is ILLEGAL and does not apply to research anyway.

    2. a person who terrorizes or frightens others.

    3. (formerly) a member of a political group in Russia aiming at the demoralization of the government by terror.

    4. an agent or partisan of the revolutionary tribunal during the Reign of Terror in France.

  • to Watoson

    leader should not hide.

leader must take all the responsibility on what you have done.

  • ROTFL.. so let me get this strait... you sea idiots use hooks to attack the whalers... and when you hurt yourself (because you are sea idiots after all) you blame the people you are ATTACKING?

can you explain exactly what 'aggressively tailing' is? isnt that what the sea idiots do when they find the factory ship? (except that the whalers dont keep the sea idiots from doing legal things, like the sea idiots do to the whalers)

  • FACT: Even countries against whaling: UK, USA, Australia, New Zealand, and Peru threatened to arrest sea shepherds if they ever set foot in those countries.

FACT: Australia is against SS despite what they claim and they are trying to shut the organization down.

FACT: A recent poll where 985,073 people participated, only 2.3% of them gave favorable views on Sea Shepherds (my guess is PW went on 2,000 different computers for the poll)

  • FACT: Paul Watson has openly told the media that he was glad that the tsunami occurred in Japan.

FACT: The Japanese whalers provided relief to the tsunami victims and saved lives.

FACT: The Japanese government has generously and selflessly given large sums of money to developing countries who support Japan in the IWC. They are not obligated to do so but they do so anyways because they want to show how much loyalty can get you

  • FACT: Paul Watson is a convicted felon. He was sentenced to 5 years in prison in Canada.

FACT: Sea Shepherd is an illegal organization. The US cancelled SS's tax exempt status and is forcing them to end their harassment of whalers.

FACT: Australia is sending 3 ships as we speak to arrest the Sea Shepherds.

FACT: Paul Watson is a wanted terrorist by Interpol.

  • FACT: Sea Shepherd is a terrorist organization. They were responsible for the bombing of railway tracks in Iceland which killed over a hundred people.

FACT: Sea Shepherds have purposefully put high levels of mercury in the dolphin meats after buying them to make it look like they were already poisoned.

FACT: Sea Shepherds were responsible for a furnace explosion in a whaling vessel a few years back which resulted in the death of one whaler

  • FACT: Commercial whaling was banned and made illegal in 1986.

FACT: Today, now that they're officially not allowed to kill Whales for food, the japanese kill 1000 per year for "scientific purposes".

FACT: Before 1986, when they were killing 2000 a year for food, the japanese killed 200 per year for "scientific purposes" and called it sufficient.

FACT: They take their SAME whale-hunting ships out to sea as before 1986, but now they have the word "Research" painted on the sides!

  • @info145

REAL FACT; commercial whaling was never banned, a temporary moratorium was put in place

REAL FACT; before 1986 the Japanese used the whales caught commercially for research, when that source was eliminated their only source for research material was an increase in research whaling

REAL FACT; when you want to catch whales for ANY reason your best choice is a whale-hunting ship

  • Great job sea Shepard!

  • The Sea Shepherds are not eco-terrorists if they're the ones trying to assist in the ecology's preservation. It's a mis-phrase.

The japanese are killing precious Whales. It's like having two people: one is burning trees, the other is trying to put the fires out.

    Which is the "eco-terrorist"?

  • @info145

the one who burns the trees trying to kill the logers. just becuase you are doing bad things for a 'good' reason doenst make them good things. the sea idiots are TERRORISTS. as such they should be shot when they illigaly board anouthers vessel.

are non-endangered whales any more 'precious' then deer? cows? mice? cockroaches?

  • @spcantwell

    So there you have it...

Go eat cockroaches and leave the Whales alone!!!

  • @info145

so you are admitting that you only care about 'cute' animals? if its not cute enough for you, you dont care if people kill it? whales have lots more meat then bugs (and they taste a hell of a lot better).

  • @spcantwell

Humans are apes. Apes are the most intelligent lifeform in the history of the Earth.

Do you know what the second most intelligent is? They deserve some justice and protection too.

To top that, we have to save the oceans to save ourselves. If the oceans die, we die

  • @info145 Your comment on apes is an opinion just like the implication that whales are the second most intelligent is also just your opinion. And of course whale isn't a species it is a diverse group just like apes.

  • @DTofMN

Hominoidea contains two families of living (extant) species:

Hylobatidae consists of four genera and sixteen species of gibbon, including the lar gibbon and the siamang. They are commonly referred to as lesser apes.

Hominidae consists of orangutans, gorillas, common chimpanzees, bonobos and humans. Alternatively, the hominidae family are collectively described as the great apes.

  • @info145 Well isn't that thrilling. Of course it has nothing to do with anything I have posted. But if posting random shit that is totally off topic makes you happy, who I am to tell you to stop

  • @DTofMN

It's because i suspect you and spcantwell may well be the same person

  • @info145 Well your paranoid fantasy are no concern of mine. But again if it makes you happy go for it. Don't worry that it makes you look mentally ill.

  • @info145

LOL, wow, are you an untruther also (the 9/11 = inside job crowd)? they also think that anyone who disagrees with them must be just one person under multiple names. the simple fact is that the sea idiots are 100% ILLEGAL and the whalers are 100% LEGAL

  • @info145

i love how you switch between the words 'commonly' and 'collectively'. humans are COMMONLY described in the catagory of 'great ape'. doesnt mean that humans are the SAME (as you claimed) as apes. when you are dealing with matters of 'intelligence' there is a lot more to it then what scientific 'family' they come from.

  • @DTofMN Are you that stupid? Chimps are the 2nd smartest species in the world second to humans and orangutans are the 4th (both of whom are apes). and dolphins are the second smartest animals (who are essentially whales) there have been studies that show evidence of the Ape's and dolphin's comprehensive abilities and logic. Indo wasn't saying all species of apes and whales were smart, but just certain species within the family.

  • @hizzleyo How do you know what indo (whoever that is) was saying? And if he only meant certain species then he should say certain species, shouldn't he?

Dolphins are not whales they are dolphins.

And as I said, the definition of what intelligence is in humans and the measurement of intelligence in humans are both difficult and contentious. So claim anything about how some other animal's intelligence compares to humans is simply an opinion.

  • @DTofMN actually, it's true that whales and intelligent animals can be killed as long as it's for food, but chimps and other animals were tested for logic and comprehension and it's solid evidence.

  • @DTofMN matter of opinion? Ha after all the posts you made, I couldn't think you could possibly get dumber, but you just topped it. You might as well say that humans being the most intelligent creatures is a matter of opinion.

  • @hizzleyo Well humans being the most intelligent animal is an opinion. Since humans design the tests and decide on what constitutes intelligence it is only to be expected that humans would rate as number one.

  • @DTofMN These guys just can't take the truth can they?

  • @dealerofjustice TROLLLLLL ALERRRRRT!!!...hehehehe..smell ya later fuckface

  • @info145

actauly humans split away from 'apes' to our own species eons ago. if you are hanging out with sea idiots i see how you can have missed that little change. so, humans are the smartest, followed by some simians, followed by MANY differnt mammals, THEN come mammals such as whales... anywho... are you saying that we should only care about 'smart' animals? and you dont care how we kill the rest of them?

oh and killing a few hundred minki whales wont 'kill' the ocean.

  • @spcantwell

Corrections for the truly stupid: It's "actually", not "actauly". It's "different", not "differnt". It's "Minke", not "minki"

  • @info145

great, you are a spelling nazi also? hate to break it to you, but this in the net. not exaclty a bastion of writen etiquette. besides i refuse to spell/topo check for people who dont fact check there statements

  • @spcantwell killing 50 fin whales a year (who are critically endangered) will definitely hurt the ecosystem.

  • @hizzleyo Who kills 50 fin whales a year?

Japan has only killed 17 over the last 20 years.

Now Greenland kills an average of 10 per year, but the SSCS doesn't seem to be directly intervening in those hunts.

  • @DTofMN Japan's quota is 50 a year but thanks to the efforts of SSCS, they have unable to fully achieve their quota.

  • @hizzleyo What a joker you are. If the SSCS was effective at stopping fin whales being killed then why didn't they kill 50 fin whales per year before the SSCS even started coming to the Antarctic? And why have they killed more fin whales since the SSCS started their Antarctic campaigns than they killed before the SSCS's campaigns? And why hasn't the SSCS done anything about Iceland killing over 250 fin whales in the last 2 years?

  • @DTofMN SSCS is on them at the beginning of the season and while they are on the run, they don't have too much time to kill whales. SSCS has been to Iceland already.

  • @GGDaolonWong The SSCS hasn't been to Iceland in over a decade and definitely not since Iceland resumed hunting endangered fin whales.

  • @DTofMN I quote you saying "Oh and just because he is racist against one group doesn't mean he can't be racist against another group also. Then there is the fact that people can change their attitudes becoming more or less racist over time."

seems to me like you're accusing him of being racist to the Norwegians too.

  • @hizzleyo Well then you need to get your seeming ability checked. That statement doesn't accuse him of being racist toward anybody. It claims that peoples attitudes, including being racist, can change over time and that someone can be racist against more than one racial group.

  • @DTofMN At this point I have no idea what you're even saying. At one point you said that PW was racist to the Japanese for not using similar tactics against other people and when I gave you an instance of them doing worse to other people, you said that he was racist to both peoples. Now you're saying he's not racist to anyone? You're such a two face.

  • @hizzleyo Your inability to understand English is not my problem.

  • @DTofMN and the Netherlands didn't extradite him so what does that tell you?

  • @hizzleyo That the Netherlands decided not to extradite him. Doesn't say anything about guilt or innocence.

Have you ever heard of Roman Polanski? He admitted to and was convicted of raping a child, yet Switzerland won't extradite him. Does that mean he is innocent?

  • @hizzleyo

btw, its not a 'quota', its a MAX. if they dont feel the need to take 50 samples for the study, then they dont. isnt that just proof that they really are doing the research and not just whaleing as you guys claim?

  • @spcantwell It's a max but the ICR tries to achieve the quota.

  • @GGDaolonWong And what proof of that claim do you have?

  • @GGDaolonWong And what proof of that claim do you have? I mean in years before the SSCS even showed up in the Antarctic the Japanese didn't achieve their quota.

  • @DTofMN dang, these guys are so retarded huh DT?

  • @GGDaolonWong

really? they 'try'? so every year before the sea idiots showed up (and all the years the sea idiots didnt find them or didnt get near the factory ship) they caught 100% of there 'quota'? i would love to see the proof of that. whats your source?

  • @spcantwell If you can show me an instance before the sea shepherds showed up that the whalers were 863 whales under their quota, I will drop my claim.

  • @GGDaolonWong

well, most years before the sea idiots started attacking perfectly legal whalers, they didnt reach the maximum number. so does that mean you will drop your claims?

besides YOU are the one claiming that they allways caught all of there 'quota' each year before. so YOU need to prove that claim

  • @hizzleyo

so you admit that takeing even a thousand minke whales (out of the MILLION or so in the southern ocean alone) wont?

the fin whale pop is estimated between 15000 and 38000 (depending on who you ask) in the southern ocean. with a few hundred thousands elsewhere. so '50' a year isnt going to do much against that number either.

btw, how do you think that population surveys are done? by KILLING some to find out age/sex/number of calfs/health/diet/etc... air photos are USELESS

  • @spcantwell Final circumpolar estimates from the International Whaling Commission (IWC) IDCR/SOWER population surveys (1978/79-2003/04) were 338,000 — only 39% of the 1985/86-1990/91 surveys.

So you need to kill species to find out whether you can kill them or not?

  • @GGDaolonWong First your numbers make no sense. The population from 1978/79-2003/04 is higher than from 1985/86-1990/9, which fall in the middle of the original date range, so what do you mean did numbers increase after a drop in the middle years?

But second the last estimate from the IWC is 1982/83 - 1988/89 population of 761,000. They haven't issued an extimated population since then.

  • @GGDaolonWong

sorry, your numbers are wrong. i want to be specific though. which species are you talking about?

as for lethal vs non lethal research look at

    icrwhale. org/pdf/04-B-jen. pdf (page 8)

remember you cant knock out a whale and take blood samples, and forceing one to remain on the surface for a second longer then it wants would lead to the destruction of a boat (and possible death of scientists)

  • @spcantwell You can actually. I don't have the source on me but I will pull it up later but an American biologist used high end tranquilizers to knock whales out and collect blood and tissue samples and was able to find out everything he needed to know about the whales, all without killing the whale. and the whalers have left their original survey area for this year, adding weight to the fact that they're not interested in research

  • @GGDaolonWong

you can what? knock a whale out? are you f-ing nuts? i would love to see that source. until you show me them knocking one out i wont belive it.

how does takeing skin/blood samples show what the whales are eating? or how long they lived? or how many calfs they had?

  • @GGDaolonWong Good for him. The Japanese obviously aren't trying to find out the same things as the American biologist.

Oh and the whole area is covered by the research plan and for easy of research and to save time and money they planned to alternate between the east and west sides of the area in alternate years. But changing conditions like weather or ice conditions can cause them to alter the plan. It is still all research area.

  • @DTofMN Hey man. are these guys pissing you off too? send a message to PropogandaBuster or anyone else who seems to be against Sea Shepherd and tell them to help out here and slam these sheep.

  • @spcantwell If you look at it that way, stopping a few whalers from killing a couple hundred whales isn't really going to kill the Japanese economy.

  • @hizzleyo

i never said it would. the question becomes WHY stop them? what makes NON-ENDAGERED whales so speical? remember watson has said on multible occasions that he wants to stop ALL forms of fishing EVERYWHERE. that would hurt the economy of many countries.

  • @spcantwell They believe in fighting for the planet so they will do what it takes. I too can ask: Why stop the Sea Shepherds from stopping them?

  • @hizzleyo Because the SSCS is breaking the law, while the whalers aren't breaking the law.

  • @hizzleyo

no, they are attacking people who they dont like. they are trying to KILL people who do something that they dont agree with.

as far as i am concerned they should be treated EXACTLY like the 'pirates' they pretend they are.... and they should be hung as soon as they come into port (or killed on the high seas if they board someone else vessel with out ther permision)

  • Mr watson.

Stop making a fool of japanese.

  • The japanese use the old "racism gambit": Claiming the rest of the world is racist and they are not. Those foolish enough to believe it will think the japanese are the helpless victims under attack while they're whaling. Any robot minded drones of the world would then be doing their dirtywork for them. Everything the Sea Shepherds do is to bring attention to what happens in the Southern Ocean. The decent people of the world are against whaling. The Sea Shepherds are doing as THOSE people wish!

  • @info145 Then why don't the Sea Shepherd bring attention to what happens in the North Atlantic or the North Pacific.

  • @DTofMN All i can find still happening in the NO since 1993 is,Norway 300-400 ayear, and IceLand under a permit in their own waters 200 Common Minke Whales since 2003,and a smattering of Aboriginal permits, and Japans research. For the IWC I should add.Why would the Sea Sheperd go there? Are Whales more endangered in the NO?Mostly seems everybody there is happy to research or Hunt the nests they shit in.

  • @poopy2010tative The Sea Shepherd would go there because they CLAIM they want to stop ALL whaling, not just Japanese whaling in the Southern Ocean. Plus the Japanese whaling in the North Pacific is still under research permits which SSCS claim are illegal.

And yes the species hunted in the North Pacific and Atlantic are listed by the IUCN as more endangered than the Antarctic Minke.

  • @DTofMN Well it's obvious then.Limited resourses, and friendlier waters.I am sure they do what they can. What Japan is doing seems to be legal under the IWC rules.Everybody should go to theIWC home page and read"Statement on the future of the IWC.Small working group on the future of the IWC,2-4 march 2010,ST.Pete Beach Florida USA.Then remember the IWC is not a conservation group. They are in the business of growing whales to hunt again one day.

  • @DTofMN the North Pacific is too close to Japan and the coast guard might get involved and arrest them. plus there is no sanctuary established in the north pacific

  • @hizzleyo But there is still a moratorium on the whole globe isn't there? So since the SSCS claim the research permits aren't legal, then the existence of a sanctuary has no relevance.

And I thought Watson has said over and over that he wants to see whaling put on trial, wouldn't an arrest and trial give him his wish?

Despite their claims to be willing to die for the whales they are not even willing to get arrested. I guess they are more worried about themselves than the whales.

  • @DTofMN

November 1986: "SSCS activists return to Iceland and take action against illegal Icelandic whaling operations. Sea Shepherd members Rod Coronado and David Howitt engineer the sinking of two of Iceland's four whaling ships in Reykjavik harbor.

They also destroy the whale processing station at Hvalfjodur. This mission shuts down Icelandic commercial whaling activities for the next 16 years. The attack becomes a headline story worldwide."

  • @info145 And they haven't been back since. History is fine but hardly relevant when we are talking the current whaling situation.

  • @DTofMN

Why was Captain Watson arrested in his past?:

    1) Spraying paint on a baby seal so the poacher wouldn't want to kill it for its fur. That was Canada.

    2) Assault. He got into a fight with someone about to kill sharks for their fins. That was Costa Rica.

    3) Harassment of Cuban and Spanish fishing boats off the coast of Newfoundland.

ARE YOU SEEING A TREND? He did not do those things in Japan! Race is NOT a factor!

(The arrest warrant Japan issued is less than insignificant)

  • @info145 Your joking right? That's like saying he has Japanese friends so he can't be a racists. Someone who is a general douche and fucks with lots of people can still be a racist. Although I guess you could make the claim he hates all humans.
