  • i called a character in my book Clonus lol

  • tiende a la plantiflexión, acortamiento de soleo y gastrocnemios asociados debe haber.

  • Essa pessoa tinha alguma patologia??

  • Clonus is repetitive, rhythmic contractions of a muscle when attempting to hold it in a STRETCHED position. It is a strong, deep tendon reflex that occurs when the central nervous system fails to inhibit it. It is a common sign of multiple sclerosis, spinal cord injury, spastic paraparesis and other diseases. It is considered normal in new-born babies

  • Thanks for posting. I was looking for a good example of clonus. My neuro tried to demonstrate, but this is much better.

  • Thanks brother for posting the informative video

  • Extraordinario. Muy bien. Que alegria ver a un clinico tocarle el pie a su paciente obtener este piramidalismo y no prescribir directamente una RMN o un TAC. ¡¡excelente!

  • @doctor98 de acuerdo!

  • I had severe ankle clonus after spinal cord surgery. My son started calling me thumper. Anti spasm medication helped somewhat, but eventually my nerves recovered.

  • i sprained my ankle years ago at a concert and once in a while i get the tremors. it can be a bit unsettling. after so many years it still shakes.

  • I sprained my ankle going on 7 weeks ago. I noticed every time either I, the doctors or the therapists move my ankle, it does this same violent tremor. I don't know what causes this, but it only began after my sprain and only when I attempt to move it. I had to grab my foot to stop it.

  • This happens to me...what could it mean

  • clonus is a regular rythmic muscular contraction due to a sudden n sustained stretching..

there ade increase in gamma efferent motor neuron to the stretch muscle..

it os a sign of neurologigal condition.. particularly associated with upper mottor neuron lesion.

most coomon clonu at the ankle.. called ankle clonus..

  • ?????????????

  • thanks... i just understand what it is

  • Claro que es lesion piramidal............y luego la corteza donde esta para regular el tono muscular?....estudia.....

  • de acuerdo contigo, es piramidal... estudia chafa

  • I can't understand you

  • El clonus indica lesion de vías extrapiramidales no de vías piramidales, como se escucha que se señala en el video...

  • Podríamos agregar que el clonus es inagotable.
