We usually use 'Wait on the Lord as our final reflective hymn during Advent tide midweek Evening Prayer. What a wonder-filled juxtaposition to the phrenetic pre Christmas rushing about. Listening to the voices and musicians lifting up makes me realize again and again that the Creator know me, and daily finds me. What a gift! SDG
@Utschigutschi no but I am going in about 3 weeks time, really looking forward to it. I will definitely be choosing choir again for my work activity. And can't wait to get stuck in to a week of intense study and deepening relationship with God.
What a way of meeting people and get to see their talent. At first was reluctant being on youtube, but getting to do this has brought me into the houses of some very special people. You are one of them. Life; isn't it wonderful!!! Keep up the good work. Hope You had a Merry Christmas, and hope you have a Happy New Year!!!!
the words in the Taize song book are slightly different now. It is Wait for the Lord whose day is near, Wait for the Lord Keep watch take heart. Still a beautiful song though. Was in Taize last week for the first time. Sang in the choir there and loved every minute, can't wait to go back again!!
@CannaLily86 My book (from the early 80s) says "be strong" - probably a change that was made over time as people worked with the song and found the arrangements and words that felt best for them. :) I agree - a marvellous piece of music. I'd love to go sometime.

Fortunately we are waiting for Lord being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us..

I have spent my whole life striving, - trying to find peace of mind.
But its only when I gave up and admitted total failure, that I felt the gentle touch of the Holy spirit.
Maybe I can't find my Creator but he can find me.
