No I have a few drawings left I purchased directly from Jean Michel..most people just flip the damn things...they don't appreciate the art...he was a wonderful guy...I miss him..email me Dee if you want these drawings..
@searching4quiet That is incredibly flattering, thank you very much for your comment. 'm really glad people like this as I tried to make it the best I could.
@Njuzu07 Yeah, I made some mistakes on the subtitles, some people pointed some and I'm glad they did, if I ever decide to improve it I will consider the corrections. I'm glad you like that sequence. Thank you for commenting and sharing your opinion.
@MaghoxFr Good job man. I was on wikipedia and went to the 27 club and I was looking through it and found this guy. I read his bio and looked at his art, AMAZING! I just like how, how can I say this, beautifully ugly they were. From the Unnamed skulls to the people,I just love it. It just strikes you, it's different, creepy, and it makes you want to see more. Im so glad I found out about this artist. It makes me want to keep drawing myself. Thanks
@Kento617 Hey, thanks for the baeutiful words. I'm glad you liked it and it means a lot that it encouraged you to keep drawing, Basquiat is very inspiring. Thanks for watching the whole thing
I will probably always be enamoured of Basquiat, incredibly moved by his work. You honour and entice your audience by asking thoughtful questions. Sometimes we learn most by asking the right questions. Thanks for this video.
Brilliant. Everything you stated is correct. such a fascinating figure and genius, in the way he conducted his career in the late twentieth century, as well as in the pure content of his work, which clearly endangered the way the white anglo protestant supremacy on politics and business represented itself in what was soon to become political correctness. They had to adore him and, then, they had to destroy him. Two thousand years of a hell of a bad habit crucifiating the truth.

@robblac... if y'r 5 year old daughter can do this than she can help make you a proud papa and maybe put a smile on y'r face..... why be so miserable about something your own daughter can do, you did partake in her creation, no? maybe you don't like y'rself?
@MANUZ66 Wow, well...I'm just jealous that you saw Basquiat's work and that you did so in Paris! LOL. Seriously, awesome, it's deffinetely on my plans to see his work someday. Thanks a lot for the nice words and I'm very glad you liked the documentary. Thanks
my 5 year old can do better than that crap ! looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool
@MaghoxFr so i guess I am a philistine cos I can admit that this is SHIT ??
looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool you people are so full of crap ! its fucking garbage..and you know it.. pretending the masses are too dumb to "get it" when there is nothing to get.. sad bastards.
@iAlban1an I've blocked that guy, don't worry. It's not may intention to censor people's opinions but when they get insulting then I'm afraid I will erase the comments. That's why I've left a couple of his comments even though they were pretty insulting, but I had to erase a couple too because they were just nasty. I don't really care, but I figured people has better things to do than reading idiotic comments. Thanks for stepping up mate!
Very well done. I like that you made the connection with Cy Twobly's work but I think Haitian voodoo imagery was very strong too, that he must have seen in Brooklyn growing up. I used to see him in NYC and attended a few of his openings. I hope you'll get to see his work in person.
@annettelabedzki100 wish I could, his paintings will survive forever though. I've never had the chance to see them face to face, someday I will, they are amazing.

@Njuzu07 You're supposed to use yellow titles. That's the color that represents best in front of a variety of backgrounds.

Wonderful and clear documentary!
Been to the exhibition that is on show at the MAM, Paris, France right now
and was truly impressed by the size and power of the works.
I admired this artist already, but seeing these paintings in real life
is a true experience!
