Dear Caitlin, far away from any academic thoughts and critical formulations I should like to write you, that I am deeply impressed by your singing and your stage appearance...I am a singer as well, and, in all modesty, I've got plenty of experience, so I might be in the position to judge...everything's okay my dear, you are enchanting!! In the course of my very next entrance in september, my singing will be taped as well, so have a look on it, hope, you'll enjoy it !!

Take this criticism in a constructive manner. You have a pleasant and even operatic voice with a good range - but you can't sing.Listen to many recordings of Sarah Vaughn and especially Ella Fitgerald. it is about interpretation and infletion, not just sound. Diana Krall is a good example. She does have a great voice or range, but knows how to get the most out her voice and is excellent and interpretation and inflection. Listen to Rachel York singing this tune. Good luck and keep at it.
I was honestly trying to take a risk and perform the song out of the context of the show with a more personal subtext... thanks for the constructive though!
I agree. You have a very pretty voice, but this song is about having to struggle for her love. How her love will go on but may not be returned. You seem very happy in the acting. But again you have a very noce voice.
This is beautiful, and I liked your personal interpretation of it. I absolutely love the tone color of your voice, and you're gorgeous. :)

Excellent job. Be careful when going for the high notes not to close up your throat by raising your chin and pushing up your shoulders.

The acting totally doesn't fit the song. The song is somber and pensive while your acting was peppy and flirty. Good voice though.
