Think about the complexities of the human eye, or even one protein molecule as I mentioned above. The chance for them to come into existence by chance is next to nil. Whether you want to add millions of years to it or not. One protein molecule would have taken just as long as the world we know it today to have managed to find the right combination to survive, and that would have only been if it didn't mess up too badly early on and die out.
Something had to be telling it what it needed next. Even if you don't want to believe in God, you really have no choice but to believe that something intelligent helped move things along. There are too many variables and other things to consider for life to have survived to have made itself without something intelligent there.
The human body is far more complex than anything we've created personally, but when compared to the universe, you have a whole other equation.
If it would take longer than the earth is around for even an eye to happen by random chance, then this universe, or earth is not likely to have been created like it is right now.

Well, I was born right the first time, ark. evolution has nothing to do with origins or the reason for existance. It is a study of how creatures change over long periods of time as they adapt to their environment. If their environment changes, then they must change to adapt to it, to survive and pass on their characteristics - if they don't, they die and become food for others.

@arkansasbean There were two kinds of Christians. The first - Jesus followers (later called Ebionites - were a sect within Judaism - all practicing Jews as was Jesus. To them, Jesus was a man. About 30 years later, Paul came along and Jesus became a man-god and the Pauline Christianity of today was born. Paul was the self appointed apostle to the Gentiles (pagans) of that time. People closer to the equator tend to have longer arms and fingers, etc. while the people further away have shorter bodily extremities. The shorter extremities help to stay warm. That in combination with melanin and body fat differences make extra hair unnecessary, even though it *may* be more efficient.
@Demonyk1 I only looked up a little information and it all dealt with the magma cooling slowly. The way the rings in all granite is formed could not be as they are if the granite solidified slowly. What actually exists in granite is like dropping alcaseltzer into water and immediately freezing the water. If the magma that forms granite had solidified slowly the radiohalos wouldn't be halos. There would be no uniformity.

The Dead Sea Scrolls can give us some confidence in the accuracy of our texts. But only some; there are in fact differences. Even more important, even if they give us confidence in each book, they take away confidence in the bible as a whole, since whoever was reading these texts obviously considered a lot more to be scripture than is what is in the modern bible.

What is considered canon of the Hebrew Bible was decide by a group of Rabbis back in 90 CE/AD. It was at this time the book of Enoch was not considered canon. Also, the book of the Maccabees was not considered canon at this time.
Also generally books were disqualified because they were found to have internal errors, or historical errors, etc.
Like why the HEBREW books that the Catholics much later included in their apocrypha (in a 16th century anti-reformation effort), were not considered inspired by the Hebrew scholars.

The thing is, they BELIEVED that the prophecies as fortold, was in their time, and that it was as such written - but other Jews believed this to be false - this is why we have Judaism AND Christianity in our time.

The offspring then have new survival gear which also makes a minute change in the whole group. Over thousands of years, there would be a noticeable change in the group which has now evolved to a different stage of the same species. It never becames a different species - just changed.

Think about the complexities of the human eye, or even one protein molecule as I mentioned above. The chance for them to come into existence by chance is next to nil. Whether you want to add millions of years to it or not. One protein molecule would have taken just as long as the world we know it today to have managed to find the right combination to survive, and that would have only been if it didn't mess up too badly early on and die out.

There are too many variables and other things to consider for life to have survived to have made itself without something intelligent there.

Well, I was born right the first time, ark. evolution has nothing to do with origins or the reason for existance. It is a study of how creatures change over long periods of time as they adapt to their environment. If their environment changes, then they must change to adapt to it, to survive and pass on their characteristics - if they don't, they die and become food for others.

No, it was not only Paul, JESUS tells us the same in John 3. Actually, the whole Bible speaks and teaches of it. So, either way is pointless in the doctrine, the end result is the same. Neither Jesus nor his apostles -all practicing Jews - upheld the idea of original sin,. John wrote 60-80 years after the fact and was not the apostle John.. He was a Pauline Christian convert who was documenting the hearsay of his time. "Born again" is a fad of the fundamentalists, invented within the last 50 years.

About 30 years later, Paul came along and Jesus became a man-god and the Pauline Christianity of today was born. Paul was the self appointed apostle to the Gentiles (pagans) of that time. Yes Jews did practice the need for the forgiveness of sin, but they don't believe that we are born with sin.

People closer to the equator tend to have longer arms and fingers, etc. while the people further away have shorter bodily extremities. The shorter extremities help to stay warm. That in combination with melanin and body fat differences make extra hair unnecessary, even though it *may* be more efficient.

@Demonyk1 I only looked up a little information and it all dealt with the magma cooling slowly. The way the rings in all granite is formed could not be as they are if the granite solidified slowly. What actually exists in granite is like dropping alcaseltzer into water and immediately freezing the water. If the magma that forms granite had solidified slowly the radiohalos wouldn't be halos. There would be no uniformity.

Just recently, after archaeologists have been excavating and searching the area of Qumran since the 1940’s, they found a fragment of the book of Nehemiah, 38th of the 39 books of the Bible found corroborating the OT. The Dead Sea Scrolls can give us some confidence in the accuracy of our texts. But only some; there are in fact differences. Even more important, even if they give us confidence in each book, they take away confidence in the bible as a whole, since whoever was reading these texts obviously considered a lot more to be scripture than is what is in the modern bible.

I guess I jumped the gun thinking that there would be actual proof here. "Dr" Patton used to claim he had a ph.d. from a Queensland Christian University in Australia, which turned out to be be a diploma mill without teachers, students or a campus.
Skeptics have been asking him for years to provide proof that he has a valid ph.d. from ANY school, I think he used to claim he had four, he has not done so. Quite a few notable ID proponents make similar claims that they cannot qualify.

Freedom is in the mind. Our own mind is all we can control. Being able to think free is valuable.
However: the more details of the Bible I studied, the more impressed I was by the accuracy of it's prophecies and historical importance. That makes the Bible more than just a collection of books. For me at least.

Each of its morals and concepts tell you what happens in your heart when the action is taken and tells you the results of the actions you take. however everyone is too blinded in, oh is it true or false but anyone who actually does the things it says start to realize... hmmm, maybe I was wrong. I've seen SO much more concrete and solid evidence For the historical accuracy for the Bible and Creation than any other "theory". Daily the scales become more and more weighted with solid proof for the biblical account, while theories like "evolution" are crumbling and blowing away leaving nothing on their side of the scale!

Do you know what elohim means? Google it! Lol and when you find out what it means you will find your comment to be actually correct (sort of) Enoch was taken by "Elohim", and Jesus went into heaven on his own. Actually the Bible is a "written compilation" and yes it is a book made up of several books, (66 to be precise) No one is arguing that.

What is considered canon of the Hebrew Bible was decide by a group of Rabbis back in 90 CE/AD. It was at this time the book of Enoch was not considered canon. Also, the book of the Maccabees was not considered canon at this time.

Like why the HEBREW books that the Catholics much later included in their apocrypha (in a 16th century anti-reformation effort), were not considered inspired by the Hebrew scholars.

yup. they left enoch out because it was too explanatory and contradicted the other parts of the bible that were altered to paint a dif picture. enoch would have made us understand the angels/watchers and how they play a role in this world.
