@XxSepulturaLovexX It's called zoning. It makes him more difficult to play. And its effective against charge characters so they don't charge or they have to eat the chip damage. He's not the only one that plays like that. Watch Mago, or Momochi. These are some of the best players in the world and they do that sometimes.

@XxSepulturaLovexX Yeah, he does that a lot. That's just the way he strategizes with Ryu. To be honest, every top Ryu, Sagat, Guile player I've ever seen does what you call "Spamming." But what really matters is Daigo's exceptional offense and defense and his ability to download his opponents. Thats why I respect him. If Daigo was the only one that played like that, he wouldn't get any respect.

@XxSepulturaLovexX I can hardly understand what you're saying, but I understand your frustration. Many people have the same opinion, but there's nothing you can do about it. Its the way they're played, so people have to find a way around it. Most characters have moves around them, so sometimes Hadoukens are a weakness anyway. There's a catch 22. Honda and Vega don't really need to zone considering they can move quickly across the screen with their moves. Ryu and Sagat can't exactly do that

To those saying it's a focus or "just an ultra" are wrong.

It's just like Dafro1989 said, it's a quick cancel. Not sure about it being an option select though since you're not letting the game choose the best outcome, but rather you "force" it out by manipulating the mechanics.

It is also commonly referred to as "kara ultra" because you move forward a little bit and punish an otherwise safe hadoken.

That last ultra was a focus into ultra for those of you who don't know. I myself don not know much about it but there are guides on youtube showing this technique. (I'm sure that it takes a lot of practice especially in game fighting top players like Daigo)

Its just an ultra. If timed right, its going to look like FADC the first hit, but its actually just an ultra. You check this out by trying on the console (or the pc). Just ultra at the same exact frame the fireball hits you.

It's a Super Armour cancel. If performed quickly enough, you can 'option select' from an EX Punch to Ultra, whereby if the armour is hit almost upon activation the Ultra will pop out instead. This is with the correct input of course, which would resemble something like:

B F + 2P B F +3P, where the transition from hitting 2P to performing the rest of the Ultra input must be very fast.

armour cancels dont use meter for the canceled dash, so ex to ex uses 1 bar, ex to ultra uses none, timing is super tight though

I managed to do similar with an EX-Torpedo, absorbing the two hits whereas mistiming it would have resulted in eating the second hit - Sadly it was a total fluke and because the opponent was using it to setup Ultra, and continued to do so, I ended up eating the whole thing anyway ;)

This Rog has sick sick reflex... I'll tell you why....he probably predicted a fireball coming and he was going to do EX dash which can absorb one hit...but as soon as he realize Daigo also did EX fireball(2 hits)...he cancel it into his ultra, which went through the second hit of the ex fireball....I also loved the way he used his ultra...not the traditional HB >> ultra but always pick a spot where it would go through his fireball which would deal the maximum damage.

it's an option select...u do the motion of the ultra anyways...if something hits u during the first couple of frames then the ultra will automatically come out...if not the ex will come out
