Hi YouTube to see a video of the manassas reenactment go to our channel ( srvztube ) or look up Battle of Manassas reenactment 150th anniversary. Comment and subscribe
For an Enfield Rifle if you want to go cheap you can find one for 300 between 400 dollars. I bought mine at Servants in Gettysburg and had to defarb it, but it was worth it, my musket has never failed me over the past twelve years of re-enacting.
Springsfields have a tend to...misfire because of where the cone(where a percussion cap goes to lite powder to fire) is off to the side. But some people dont have any problems. PS where do you want to move to the states?
love the video. is this a small event because there are only 2 or 3 companys. At our event near chicago we have 5 to 7 conpanys of infantry, engineers, and dismounted calvery
I'm not familiar with what is considered small and large in the Reenactment world. I can tell you that Huntsville is a small-ish town in East Texas, so it would make sense that this event is smaller than one in Chicago. :-)

@nc69th My husband bought his about 11 years ago for $400 and the price on them has gone way up since then, I think they're closer to a grand now.

@nc69th Do they have a website for where you bought your musket? I need a new one. The last one I had I bought for $575.

I used to do this for years, until drugs and alchohol made it to where it was too dangerous, especially in mounted cal.
Most of them couldn't pass a drug test and I think they should be given one at registration.
