First he changed the resolution being shown, added a null object, set the null object to lightly move around with a parameter string, then linked the null object x and y position to the x and y position of the film. It's a really easy effect to do, although you must be aware that you will lose some of your field of view. (For not tech ppl, a smaller screen/ less resolution)

1. to get the camera to jump around he used an editing software probably sony vegas or something and then cut out the bits in between so it looks like its jumping but its not.

2. yeah he used a capture card. DO NOT GET AN EASYCAP TRUST ME I GOT ONE IT RECORDS BLAK N WHITE.
