i love these machines!!i remember we used to have one and it lasted quite a few years...my mum loved for washing,,, in those days we used tide washing powder and also drive ,,,if any one heaed of it!!
I agree there, these and most other old washing machines were far better built, and they are easy to work on, they dont have modern technology but they do wash extremely well, and also in a fraction of the time of modern automatics do, so I keep mine running

Sorry you are having problems with the timer (not uncommon at this age), there is a seller on ebay called "marknrosemary" he may be able to help you, he is a top man for spares for these machines and is very helpful.

this takes me back as i repaired them for a living and still do, the old hoovers were
built like tanks and done a good wash ,i think i still have parts for some old hoovers

Hello Thanks for your comments,it needed a few basic jobs doing but it worked right form the start, i was amazed.
It washes really well, and in a fraction of the time my modern Bosch does.
