  • "The earth-sized planet hunting telescope..."

Whoa! I don't think she's _that_ big, lol.

  • In Soviet Russia, Planet hunts You!

  • if they found one near? so what's next? just leave those happy planet alone! Human race will fuck those planet in the future! and turn it in to hell just like ours!

  • Hunting planets is great until you finally find one and learn that all this time, they've been the ones hunting YOU!

  • Thats a really cool animation. Can I know the exact URL on NASA site?

  • thought to be true, and to allow our imaginations to roam to new heights, but overall it's about science, astronomy and even more though the hope is that we aren't the only civilization out here and even out threre in other galaxies.

  • All of you! What is sam hells name is wrong with you people! The launch of this telesope isn't about a stupidity of those who think's it's a waste of money, or it's some idiotic thought of it being an undercovert operation to spy on the citizens of the world, or even to plan the deaths of the great people in our world! It's a telescope funded, and built to be sent into space to prosper the thought and discovery of new worlds such as ours, for those who wish the

  • What a tremendous waste of money. Why look for planets that my be capable of life as we know it. when life from the planets they are hoping to find has already found earth. Earth is visited constantly on daily round the clock the basis. See MUFON and NUFORC databases for enlightment.

Since I have seen UFOs 3 times, I feel money would be better spent on trying to contact those that have always been visiting Earth

  • 这个火箭推力很大呀!Rocket Thrust it this great!

  • Now that we know that JFK assasination , 9/11, are inside jobs, what if gouvernments are using prophecys(theories) to get to their evils goals of controlling the world (NWO). There's so many questions with " if ". What if they're going to "kill" Obama(it can be a clone) to create a purpose civil war with all black people in the Sates. They will have "good reasons" to install martial law to make a genocide and by the same way killing all muslims people? One of my many questions? In god i trust, only

  • This is by far the most stupid comment I've read on Youtube this week...

  • loll I trholled u well : ) got ya...

  • Haha

  • its kinda depressing to see stuff you throw at space never coming back

  • why does it do that rotating thing at 0:33 ??

  • There's an engine attached to it before his roll, maybe it's a way to give a "momentum" for ejecting. Then, few seconds after ,it can start the engine, instead of igninting in the module : )

  • I'm fascinated by space exploration since childhood. But I find this fixation on finding other planets similar to earth pointless. I'd much rather have more missions for exploring our solar system in greater depth.

  • With all these oundeground bases builted around the world, plus the underground warehouse in Groenland for the seeds, why do they really need to find out a planet where we could live?Is 2012 as something to do, or some other events that Nasa know?We just want the truth,is it that hard to say?

  • yes.

  • their gonna use that satellite to spy on us. mark my words. 2012 is the end

  • Didn't anyone at NASA notice...the launch pad in the animation seems to be a combination of LC-17(Delta) and LC-41(Atlas) :-\

  • No sound?

  • i just watched the take off live =P

  • they should really fix the info in the sidebar. its a tad misleading

  • i say send one in a worm hole

  • Space is inspiring

  • How is this Earth-sized?

  • ....planet hunting telescope. Its looking for other planets that are Earth size. Not that the rocket is earth sized.

That would be very cool though. Like a Death Star or something....lol

  • Ahh, thankyou, The description was a little confusing, and yeah, I'd love to own a telescope the size of a death-star XD

  • I think the description was poorly worded. I knew that Kepler was looking for Earth-sized planets, but upon reading that I too was like "Wait.. What? How big is this telescope?".

Maybe putting "earth-sized planet" in quotes would have been better.

  • This is true, the description is realyl wierd. Assuming that the goal of the telescope is took look for life bearing planets, they may want to narrow their search by proximity to it's orbiting sun, atmosphearic pressure (verry important for maintaining liquid water) ect...

  • In all fairness I made the same mistake the first time I read it...lol.

  • I thought the exact same thing! *lol

  • no HQ?

  • no but theres hd...
