The actors and the lyrics are very fine but I have my doubts that this kind of jazz bebobs fits accurately. Its lacking of rhythm & melody and thus stress for the audience.
Hmm, it's all melody and rhythm Lots of it! Maybe you meant contour, or, perhaps, inflection or dynamic articulation?
Anyways, I think it has a lot of potential. The show has always been very well received, except by people who don't care for music written in the 20th and 21st century...
