i won`t call it ''pushing'' - more of a ''stabilizing'' the arm and dumbbell in the initial phase of movement. the gym was crowded, and you don`t want to throw the weight on someones head ;) .
moreover, pushpress is all about ''a bit of cheating'' :D
when i do these i fell i have less control w my left arm. i feel my wrist might bend and drop the weight. but next day i feel em all around my torso, so sore.
