This is amazing, but this is an exception. To say that nature is merciful is to ignore the other fifty million times the leopard either ate the baby alive or left it there to die. Nature is a cruel and often ugly thing. At any one moment animals are starving, being eaten alive, dying of injuries or disease, being rejected by their parents etc. And thats because thats just life, it doesn't owe anyone a happy ending.

@JADEAV he/she didn't film this...its from the national geographic channel (you dumbass) and cameramen are trained to let nature take it's course, they would never try to take a baby baboon from a large predator 1. because it is dangerous and 2. because zoo's are a disgusting place for animals to live.

I love leopards, they're so smart, probably the only reason the leopard killed the mother is

1. it didn't know it was a mother

2. It was starving and needed food

3. It was hunting for the heck of it (which highly doubt)

4. It was a female simply looking for food for her OWN young.

But animals understand things, obviously this is a female leopard, and it's instinct told her to take care of the baby not kill it, it's called A MOTHERS INSTINCT. I have nothing against leopards,they're cool animals.

that leopard would never eat that monkey. The little monkey died on its own and the leopard actually took in a number of baby monkies. Some people are cat people. Some people are dog people. This leopard was a monkey leopard :) . I do believe she eventually managed to keep one alive for over a year.

when the leopard holds the baby with the mouth, we can see the pain the monkey feels but Leopard doesnot know that. It is trying to keep the monkey well but it is not possible especially when the baby knows who killed its mother. :( SAD

well, maybe the leopard didn't know it was the mother, and even if it did, at least it did what her instinct told her and did not kill the baby but nurture it. leopards aren't bad animals, it's in their blood to kill, THEY'RE HUNTERS! they can't help it, they were born and raised that way, you can't blame the leopard, and besides, it's all part of nature.

As what we seen in this video, we found that at the first step, the leopard killed the monkey, but the leopard did not notice that the monkey has a baby. The leopard feels really regret.He help the baby monkey by taking care of it. Not to eat it or so on. Think positive. The leopard feels very sorry as what has just happened to his mom, which the leopard cannot avoid his actions. Even the Allah's creatures instead of human, have that sympathies of heart among animals.
